Think of Lola as a shabby chic, local Pier One. Every time I walk in the door, I fall in love. Something about this store just warms my soul. Great homegoods, wonderful holiday decorations and gifts, occasional and awesome clothing, jewelry and more. If the owner is there, you will think she is an old friend you are reconnecting with and she will make you instantly feel at home. Love this little Bloomington gem!

Lolarue & Company is one of my favorite shops I’ve ever visited. I always stop by here when I’m in town. From beautifu jewelry to lovely clothing to fun, shabby chic home décor, it’s just an all-around great shop. It’s rare that I visit the shop and don’t leave with a new something. You can tell the owner and her staff really love the work they do — it definitely shows!

Stopped in Lolarue while I was downtown for the Bloomington Farmers Market this past weekend, and it was SO worth it. Definitely recommend stopping in if you’re ever downtown bloomington(it’s below the Redeemer office and next to Bent on South College). Walking in, I was immediately thinking«oh, an awesome boutique that 25-year-old me for sure can’t afford». And then I start walking around, and saw that most of the pieces are actually really affordable. Of course, I found a fantastic decorative door and purchased it at a very reasonable price. I love it. One of my friends said that she wants her whole house to be decorated with lolarue pieces, and I can’t say I disagree! Great owner, great staff, cute clothes, and lots of very eclectic jewelry and accessories, as well.
