Our expert specialists are certified in their areas of expertise and we have nationally credentialed American Board Certified Haircolorists on staff. We specialize in hair color, including corrective color, hi-​lights, lowlights, tone-​on-​tone grey coverage, and multi-​dimensional color. Truth be told, there is simply not a color problem that we cannot fix! Our other hair services include cutting, Japanese straightening, texture perms, and keratin blow-​outs. Don’t forget to ask about adding on a deep conditioning treatment such as caliber or shine treatments to your color! Our formal hair specialists are well known for their glamorous, long-​hair upstyles for proms, weddings, and other special events.

Our Aesthetics Department specializes in customized deep cleansing and anti-​aging facials, chemical peels, extractions, microdermabrasion, acne treatments, and Novalash eyelash extensions. Waxing is another one of our most requested services, with no area that is off limits! We also offer spa manicures and pedicures.

History

Established in 1984.

Hair International Day Spa was originally opened on Bloomington’s west side to partner with Hair Arts Academy School of Cosmetology. As the businesses grew, Hair International relocated to allow for necessary expansion and became the second tenant in Fountain Square Mall downtown, where it enjoyed rapid growth and expansion for the next 13 years. A second location was added on E. 10^th St. to service the student market, which was sold at a later date. Finally, a historic building 4 blocks west of the downtown area located on 608 W Kirkwood Ave. was purchased to give Hair International Day Spa its final home!

Business Owner

As the sole owner of Hair International Day Spa, Kelly Harding has a wealth of experiences to her credit in the industry that she loves with all her heart! She has taught advanced training seminars extensively throughout the United States and Canada, as well as receiving advanced personal training in Paris, London, Scotland, Italy, Switzerland, Canada, as well the US.
