We reserved a room online for $ 50/​night…
Check-​in was easy, but the room was pretty awful. The security bar was hanging by a couple of screws, the room smelled completely funky (smoke? mold?), the bedsheets had a stain of indeterminate origin, the headboard had fingernail scratches, and the sink was dirty.
We didn’t feel safe, and it was completely unpleasant.
We ended up staying at my brother-in-law’s place on an air mattress. One nice thing I’ll say for them, they let me check out via cell phone.
