History

Established in 2002.

Dynamic Martial Arts of Bloomington-​Normal grew out of our schools in the Chicago area that have been going since 1988.

Born and raised in Central Illinois, Sifu Mike Adams and his wife moved back home to raise their kids, and Sifu Adams opened Dynamic Martial Arts of Bloomington-​Normal.

This is a unique opportunity. All of our instructors are certified by Great Grandmaster Leung Ting and the International WingTsun Association and most classes are taught directly by Sifu Mike Adams.

Sifu Mike Adams has been training in Leung Ting WingTsun Kung Fu since the spring of 1980, when he became one of the first American students of Great Grandmaster Leung Ting.

In 1988, Sifu Adams established the first Leung Ting WingTsun school in the state in Lisle, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago, and one of the first corporate WingTsun clubs at AT&T Bell Labs in Naperville. He began bringing Great Grandmaster Leung Ting to Chicago from Hong Kong regularly.

A few years later, Sifu Adams established the Leung Ting WingTsun school in Wheeling, Illinois and also began traveling home occasionally to Central Illinois to teach martial arts.

After Sifu Adams moved home to Central Illinois, Sifu Adams passed his Chicago schools to his students and opened Dynamic Martial Arts of Bloomington-​Normal in 2002. In March 2011, Great Grandmaster Leung Ting promoted Sifu Mike Adams to 5^th Level Practician, making him only the third American to be promoted to Master.
