We love Canine Classic and so do our dogs! We use them for doggie day care and boarding. Lori and her crew understand how to manage dogs and have separate play groups based on size and energy. One of our dogs needs special handling and she has blossomed at Canine. We have recommended Canine to many. We completely trust them with our pups.

Our German Shepherd, Della, has been going to daycare twice a week at Canine Classics for over four years. Lori and her staff are experts who know how to care for Della. We have also used Canine Classics on occasion for boarding as well as daycare. They are as good as it gets in Bloomington, IL! Della loves going there, especially during summer camp and around holidays and birthdays when it’s party time for all the puppies! We wouldn’t think of taking Della anywhere else.

Canine Classics is the only place I will take my dog in Bloomington IL! My dog goes to day care, boarding, and grooming. She gets individualized attention, care, and has tons of fun. Lori and staff are awesome and experts in their field. They have a smaller amount of dogs for daycare compared to other places in the area which is perfect for my dog, who sometimes needs extra attention.
The best part is they are interacting with the dogs — keeping them stimulated with games, puzzles, and exercise. You can tell the staff truly love what they do. And Lori and staff treat us like part of the family — not just customers. We love Canine Classics!

My newest puppy is a Jack Russell mix that is partially blind and deaf. When we first got her at the end of 2014, we were overwhelmed with her energy. We also struggled communicating with her. Canine Classics has been instrumental in her progress. Day care at Canine Classics provides her a safe outlet to release all her energy, and she has thrived from the individual attention during the day. I can’t imagine how miserable she would be and ourselves included if she didn’t go to Canine Classics every week day. She LOVES other dogs thanks to the play environment they have for her, and they were very cautious not to introduce her to too much in the beginning because of her handicaps. Thanks to their experience, she has become a wonderful dog and pet. I also took my first dog their around 1999. Their longevity is proof of their outstanding service.

I feel it my civic duty to share that our little dog Jack was killed by another dog while boarded at Canine Classics on 11/​29/​2013. I feel this was most likely an accident but this is where our nightmare came true. When you trust your loved ones, to someone, this is an accident that is inexcusable. As of 3 days after Jack’s death the owner of the dog responsible had not been notified nor Animal Control notified of the occurrence. The owner of the kennel has been sensitive to our loss and our other dog that was with Jack is fine, but we are heart broken. We will not be boarding our dogs ever again, we will hire someone to come stay with them. I do not write this out of anger or spite. I feel that honest, unbiased reviews are invaluable for us to make informed decisions and I would never want anyone else to have to go through the heart ache my family has this Thanksgiving, if at all preventable.

After looking at the sheer size of some of the other doggie daycare places in town, I settled on Canine Classics, and I’m so happy I did. I like that it’s smaller, because I didn’t want my dog to get overwhelmed. I really like that they wanted to assess him first, to see how he would do there. I love that I can pay in advance for, say, 20 days and get a lower per diem rate, and also pre-​pay for a midday vegetable and fruit snack or stuffed Kong or whatnot. And the staff know him well, and he always runs in to see them.

Great place especially for bathing older Great Pyrenees who have problems with their back legs. Our Louie loved getting his bath there. They also raise money for local rescue groups. Our Lilly will keep going back.
