Excellent Reuben, says this guy visiting from Chicago, where there are some really good Reubens to be had.

This is our favorite lunch spot in Bloomington. They have great sandwiches and soups. Try the Gino’s sub or the muffuletta sub — both are excellent! The chilly is also delicious. The people are incredibly friendly and go above and beyond to take good care of you. For example, they always give my son the chunkiest bowl of chili possible and even put it into the freezer for a bit because they saw that he usually adds ice to cool it. To top it all off they give out free Italian ice for the perfect end to a great lunch!

I’m even more disappointed now that I see all the great reviews this place has gotten. Everything looks and sounds so delicious, but that’s the complete opposite of what I just choked down.
I had a delivery order for the Italian Combo sandwich. It had an option to have onions and peppers added, which I did, because I love them both. The onions were flat and flavorless. And the «peppers» were not added to the sandwich at all. Rather, a large pepperoncini, not even sliced, was served on the side in a drippy, oozing baggie. It’s kind of like what Papa Johns tosses into the box with your pizza, except it was larger and tastier. I was expecting grilled peppers and onions with the sandwich, and was disappointed by what was received.
The sausage on the sandwich… there’s just no polite way to say it. The sausage was absolutely disgusting. I’ve never had anything like it, and I hope I never do again. It was simultaneously disintegrating and oily, yet somehow dry and crumbly. A paradox of yuck. The other meat on the sandwich had a very poor flavor to it as well. The only way I muddled through the sandwich was by soaking it in the sauce that is served with it, which, to its credit, was pretty good.
Their cole slaw is amazing. I ate the slaw first, and was absolutely thrilled to get to the sammich. I figured if the slaw was this great, the sandwich would surely blow me away. But no.
I feel gross after having eaten this meal. Price was reasonable, portions were meh, and taste was terrible. I’m now eating a NutriGrain bar to supplement, because I am still hungry. I don’t think I’ll be revisiting the ol’ BSC any time soon.

Stopped in the Bloomington Sandwich Company for some lunch. They have quite a choice in sandwiches as you could guess from the name. I stood there examining the menu for what seemed like forever. I just couldn’t decide. Finally, the Bloomington Sandwich Company sub began to call my name. It may have been the ½ pound of meat and cheese that was called my name. This sandwich comes filled with honey ham, smoked turkey, salami and pepperoni. Then add the swiss and mozzarella topped with lettuce, onion, and tomato. It was a pretty solid sandwich and filled me up quite nicely.
They had a Unilocal deal for free chips or soda with a check-​in so I took full advantage of this. Though the guy at the register who I think may have been the owner seemed a bit confused when I showed it to him. Guess he doesn’t get a lot of them. He was very friendly though and gave me a free sample of the lemon ice while I was waiting. This was quite tasty.

All you need to know is this is the spot for sandwiches. Forget the soup, fries are good but nothing special. But this is the Sandwhich spot. Best in town hands town. Bc sub, is my favorite right now

Very good! Service was great (they call you by name when ringing you up. Bring your food out to you, similar to Penn Station and keep your drinks filled). Sandwiches and sides are very yummy too! No complaints here.

Good food customer service lacking. I had to ask if my order was ready. Since I noticed a few customers who had ordered after me got their food. I asked twice because the first server never went and checked to confirm my food was ready. The next server I asked who took my order gave me my food that was sitting there for over 10 minutes, she never apologize for the mishap. I guess customer service is not important when the food is good. They won’t get my business ever again!

Turkey Reuben was on point. Wish I ordered a whole in stead of a half. Ordered a combo meal to get the most variety. Great service too!

The inside has a very clean feel to it. I ordered a ham & Swiss and was blown away! The ham is deliciously sweet and the multigrain bread was so fresh! I will definitely be back.

I thought this was one of the best sandwiches I had ever had. That was last week and a Small Gino. So, I am thinking, «Really!?? Perhaps it was the weather or I missed breakfast or ate late. Can’t be.» I went back today and had a full size Gino. I was right! It was wonderful, grilled just right to open up the flavors; I was transported. I was told years ago by an employee that the owner was super serious about superb ingredients for top flavor. I do not know why it took me so long to go get one, I often waste money on subs because I need a lunch. This was no waste. I am getting Bloomington Sandwich Co. on my regular rotation so I can try other sandwiches.

Our family knows what a good sandwich. We’ve been to deil up and down the east coast. This shop makes a great sandwich, enjoy!

With a place like Bloomington Sandwich around, it would be a crime to go to either Jimmy Johns or Subway. Yes, you can get your sandwich in 30 seconds and Jimmy Johns and yes, you can customize your subway sandwich down to a tee, but you will not get as good quality or taste at those two than at Bloomington Sandwich. Also the owner and his staff are super friendly! Everything this good but my favorites are the breaded chicken sandwich and turkey melt (add 1000 island!). It’s really too bad that I didn’t start going there until my Senior year of college. I would have been a regular for all four years.

Tried this place with my wife when we came back to tour around IU.
Great service. We both did the half-​sandwich combos (which were big) and came with two sides. We had coleslaw, fries, and pasta salad, all of which were solid. Really reasonably priced, too. Bathrooms and dining area were super-​clean — I know that’s important to just about everybody.
Nice place. Will be back again!

Today is the 10 year anniversary of this awesome sandwich Mecca and they never ever disappoint.
The Reuben is the gold standard here.
Tender thin cut beef piled high, mild kraut, Perfect 1000 island, crunchy pan toasted marble rye.
Coke just right and homemade kettle chips are amazing. Good service, good price (10 $ for a combo)

I went with a group of six people. We were warmly greeted and quickly served. Everyone enjoyed what they ordered. I had the Turkey Reuben which was delicious. The owner was a sweet heart and got us refills and free Italian ice after our meal. I will definitely return next time I’m in Bloomington. Highly recommend!

Sandwiches were great. Owner was incredibly nice and helpful. Premium meats and cheeses to the max. Highly recommended if you like food that involves bread, meat, cheese and veggies combined together.

The man running this restaurant is so awesome! Fast, efficient, and very personable. The shoestring fries were so fresh and delicious. I just wanted to eat twenty at a time.

I found this restaurant from Unilocal and loved the pictures and reviews and then googled the menu. There’s an extensive menu of sandwich, soup, salad, fries, and even more. The staff was friendly and I love the options to customize your lunch. The staff was very friendly and checked on us often, offering to get us refills, take our baskets, and then gave us a complimentary tasting of Italian ice. Will definitely return when in the area again.

I had the Italian Combo sandwich and it was the best sandwich I’ve ever had. I added onions and cheese and giardinara. The beef was flavorful and tender. The Italian sausage was snappy and bright. The aux jus was salty and spicy. I had to take one home to Ohio to prove its awesomeness to my girlfriend.
The Italian wedding soup was good, but I’m pretty sure it was frozen concentrate.
The other people I was with had BLTs and they were thick with smoky crispy bacon. The tomatoes were thick and bright red and the lettuce looked fresh and crisp. The bread was fresh and tasty.
The order taking process was a little jarring as it wasn’t what i am used to, but friendly. The sandwiches were delivered to the table in a friendly fast courteous manner.

Really amazing customer service. I’m not sure how the owner, Mike, remembers every single guests name, but he does.
The sandwiches are great and meat-​heavy, similar to what you’d expect from a deli in a larger city. Lots of options for sides, including 3 varieties of fries, decent soups and salads too.
The Reuben is my favorite!
