Never mind, this rental company is not worth your time!!! They will not notify you before they drop in for a house showing! In addition to that you can kiss your deposit good-bye(as is the case for most landlords in Bloomington), but not only that: THEYWILLCHARGEYOUADDITIONALMONEY so they can make updates to the house and improve things that were already broken problematic when you moved in. I never even got the chance to rent from this company, because of their incredible disorganization. To begin with, when I called ask questions about an available property, each of my questions was relayed from the person speaking to someone in the background. If you don’t know the answers to my questions, let me speak with the person who does! When I asked about their pet policy, she responded with«What kind of dog do you have?» That isn’t a pet policy. Despite all this, and perhaps against my better judgement, I scheduled a time to see the house. They do not show properties on weekends, so my husband and I had to clear time from work to see the home. The day rolls around to see the house and just a little over an hour from the appointment time I receive a phone call canceling our appointment because someone went home sick and they aren’t staffed to make it work. Unbelievable. If this is what its like for a prospective tenant, what must it be like to be a tenant? I wouldn’t risk renting from this company.

Had a one year lease with them and was not happy. They responded quickly to issues like mice and a leaky roof — but their«fixes» were pretty slap dash. It was an old house that needed some actual updating and fixing, not just some patchwork. However, anytime there was a problem I was treated as if I was somehow responsible even though the house was clearly very old and it was just regular wear and tear. I stored some winter clothing and other items in boxes in the basement for a few weeks during the summer and found that some kind of mold had grown all over all of them in that short time. Apparently something(A/C?) was leaking into the basement and left standing water allowing the mold to grow at an alarmingly rapid rate. I had to throw out pretty much everything that was in the basement. When my roommate and I moved out we spent days and recruited multiple friends to help make the house look great. We scrubbed all the mold out of the basement and cleaned everything floor to ceiling. During our walk through the landlord told us the place looked great and we’d only have to pay minimal cleaning fees from our deposit. But a month later we were mailed a check for only $ 165 of our $ 800 deposit!!! They decided to install new carpet and charged us for most of the expense, including installation fees. They also charged us about $ 80 to replace a standard light bulb, a window screen, and drip pans all of which cost less than $ 20 and require no tools to install. Overall I’d say that I did not like living in our house because the company never solved any problems, only offered quick fixes, and they often would say one thing and do another. They ripped us off by taking $ 600 extra from our deposit than what other landlords would do and plainly lied to us during the walk through. THEREAREMUCHBETTERPLACESTORENTFROMINBLOOMINGTON. I currently am paying the same rent for a bigger house that is in much better condition and is in the same area.
