Today i came in for lunch. There weren’t many people just 2 other tables so service was pretty quick. The sushi here is pretty good but nothing to rave about i ordered a shrimp roll, spicy tuna and a dragon roll. Nikko sushi in Arlington hts continues to be my go to sushi spot, no one does it like them around here

Warm sushi got me sick. Messed up the order twice and extremely overpriced. Almost like we were eating downtown Chicago.

This is by far one of my favorite sushi restaurants. I’ve been coming here for over 10 years … Ken is one of the best servers out there! I wish they would start an all you can eat promotion though

Good service, friendly staff. You can sit at the bar and watch then make the rolls. Everything is VERYFRESH. Much better quality for almost the same price as the all u can eat. This is a much nicer, quieter room with great spicy tuna rolls.

Here’s what I think of Sushi Bar: Rip off. Rip off. Rip off… I am so sorry I wasted my money here… $ 47.50 to be exact!!! I was craving sushi and happened to be in the area on Sunday while shopping with a friend. I have been to Sushi Bar twice a few years ago and recall having a good experience… nothing mind blowing, but not bad. I decided to come here since it was nearby shopping and Abashiri was closed(I’ve had that on my list to try. not open on Sun.). We walked into an empty restaurant around 5ish… we were seated by a not-so-enthusiastic server… There was a worker eating at a table… no big deal, I just felt our server was rather abrupt and wasn’t sure why? They definitely weren’t slammed with customers… While I perused the sushi options, my friend was looking for anything but seafood. She is not a fan. I asked our waitress about non-sushi offerings and she wasn’t really helpful… again, just abrupt and hasty, and it didn’t help that we had a hard time understanding her… In the meantime, other patrons started walking in(a good sign)… Suffice it to say, they do not offer a good selection of non seafood items… a few noodle soups, egg rolls and chicken & beef teriyaki… She wasn’t impressed with the selection and I decided it wasn’t fair to her to dine here, so I placed my order to go, since we were already seated and had beverages. I realize this is a sushi place, but its also a Japanese restaurant and I’ve been to many that do offer a much broader selection of options. but my experience here is more about the sushi… I ordered: Nigiri — Super white tuna & Salmon. Rolls — Volcano, Spicy Tuna, & Shrimp Tempura. We waited about 25 min. for my order… Later on, upon opening the styrofoam container, I was only given soy sauce. No ginger. No wasabi. Yes, I was bummed. I also asked for«no sauce» on my rolls and there was sauce… I was so hungry, I didn’t care at that point. What I did care about… the really small rolls I received. The only substantial roll was the Volcano… not only were they small in size, but small in flavor. Bland. I couldn’t really taste the fish, more cucumber if anything… The nigiri was just ok and quality was OK, however, after two pieces, I noticed the rice had a flavor I couldn’t pinpoint. something off about it… I could NOT believe I paid $ 48 for this. In fact, I’m still not over it(I loathe being ripped off). I absolutely love sushi and have been to many restaurants. This is completely over priced and so not worth it… How Sushi Bar could receive anything above 3 stars is beyond me. The sushi and service were mediocre at best. And while I pondered on giving three stars for fresh sushi, I quickly came to my senses. You should ALWAYS be given FRESH fish at a sushi place! That certainly shouldn’t warrant a star… I can guarantee when I am in this area again craving sushi, and this is my only option… I will keep driving…

It’s called Sushi Bar. Plain but descriptive in a very utilitarian way. We tried so many different rolls(wendy, crunchy lobster, eel, salmon skin, baby octopus). Most of them weren’t that notable and were somewhat small. Our favourite was the salmon skin roll. Basic but it was done right. The place seems clean. The staff was attentive & kept my water filled but seemed to want to rush us to pay. It was an ok dining experience with decent sushi. But I wouldn’t rush back here.

A staple when I lived in the area, Sushi Bar is a no-frills sushi bar with great service and fresh sushi. Loads of interesting fried/playful maki rolls for the sushi neophyte. A silly side-note: They play a wide range of music… Kenny G Christmas jazz to boy bands of the 90’s. Great place. Give it a try!

Very attentive staff, nice place. Delicious food too but I’m not a sushi«expert» so who knows, maybe I’m wrong. But I enjoyed everything we ordered and I’ll definitely be back. The Mike’s roll was good.

This is my absolute favorite place to get sushi. The staff is attentive, the sushi is amazing, AND it’s reasonably priced! I get different rolls every time I go and I’ve never had anything I didn’t like. Well maybe the mackerel… but that’s not their fault :) I can’t say much about the rest of their menu because I always stick to sushi with crab rangoons for an appetizer! You would never know what a great place it is from the outside, but I promise it’s worth checking out.

Tonkatsu($ 9.95 w/soup, salad, and 4pc cali roll) — 2 stars. Small and thin. I’ve tried a lot of katsus in my lifetime, and this is the worst. Spring rolls — 3 stars Service was kinda weird in that when I went to pickup, the employee pointed to the bag of food on the table behind him. I thought he would hand me them since he was closer, but he just pointed again. So I had to walk past and behind him to get my carryout order.

Good quality sushi for a decent price. I order take out at least twice a month, they offer decent pieces of protein in their rolls which helps balance out their pricing. Not to mention the rolls are Super Yummy!

The sushi bar with no name! No, seriously, the restaurant is Sushi Bar. The sushi is pretty sharp, too :) Service stands out– my tea wasn’t even close to empty at any point during my lunch. It was a great experience, I really enjoyed the place. The name is silly, everything else about this restaurant is spot on!

The first sign of trouble was the dollar store dishes, the second was that the seafood pieces were some the largest I had seen(and they were not thinly sliced, either)… So, I thought to myself, ‘the prices are high, could this large portioned Sushi be worth the price? If so, than great — I’m willing to pay for quality, generously sized, Sushi!’. Regretfully, both my fiend(an experienced Sushi eater) an I found all the Sushi to be room temperature and without taste… and I mean ALL verities were without taste. Thank goodness it wasn’t ‘fishy’ smelling. I have eaten Sushi for decades and across the nation. Regretfully, I must say that this is the worst Sushi I have ever eaten in a restaurant; but, perhaps they attract people with the large pieces.

The shushi here it is so delicious! We have order a few times to go. The menu is a bit confusing. If there is anything they should do is make the manu more clear and simple. Other than that, they are very quick for very good quality sushi. I’ll definitely come here again and recommend to friends.

This has to be one of my favorite sushi places. The rolls are delicious, prices aren’t bad and the servers pay attention. Spicy tuna and Philadelphia roll are my favorite. Definitely give this place a try!

I went here once before ages ago for sushi and it definitely didn’t stand out in my mind. I just went back this week because my mom had got a groupon or something of the sort, so we figured we’d go check it out since she knows I like sushi. I ordered two plain rolls, salmon avocado and regular tuna — I know, I’m so boring. But I like quality sushi that speaks for itself so it doesn’t need all the sauces and tempura and all that jazz. The salmon and avocado was actually good, I wish I had ordered two of those instead of the tuna. I just don’t think it was great, wouldn’t get it again(and I order tuna sushi all the time). I had wanted to order spicy tuna, but I asked if it was the chopped up tuna or the actual pieces and it was the chopped kind. For some reason I never really like those so I didn’t try it, it might be good — I guess I won’t risk finding out. He probably could have offered to put some spicy mayo on my tuna roll for a bit extra or something but that didn’t happen. My mom ordered teriyaki chicken, which we both thought was good — it came with zucchini mixed in which works for me. The service here… I don’t know how to explain it. They aren’t very friendly, but they aren’t rude. It just feels a bit awkward in a sense. Overall, it was beyond worth it with the online deal. If I was dying for sushi I might stop in to grab a salmon avocado roll since it’s super closeby for me.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Literally just threw out my food bcuz EVERYTHING looked questionable. Tried to eat one piece of sushi and had to spit it out bcuz it was dry and have a funny dirt taste to it. Ugh, I’ll never order from here again. What a waste of money. Disgusted. **ALSO called them to confirm that they received my order and the guy kept hanging up on me bcuz he couldn’t understand anything I was saying.

I’ve been here before for dine in and it was great. Service was good, food came out quick! Really nothing to complain about… Until you order out. I walk in, starving to pick up sushi after a long day. «Oh we don’t have summer roll» oh. Thanks lady it’s now you decide to tell me? After my pick up time?! Aren’t you suppose to call me or something???

Came with here craving sushi… left here still craving sushi :-/ What I like about this place was listening to the staff talking Cantonese to each other… it’s not often I get to here it anymore. Wait… what? Cantonese? I thought sushi was Japanese. The Dragon Roll had waaaaaaaay too much mayo on it. We had to scrape the tops of it before eating em. The roe was delicious and the service was good. BATHROOMREVIEW: Located at the end of the restaurant, the bathroom was somewhat clean. It had a working toilet and everything was in place. Sit or squat? Sit!
