Office Max Bloomingdale, doesn’t even deserve a single star rating. All I can say Connor(store manager), FALSEADVERTISING is one thing, but when you promise to PRICEMATCH, and you won’t honor a price if the difference is more than $ 20, that’s just poor business, especially since I had my 10 day old receipt in hand. You’ve lost my business.

Do not expect any sort of customer service follow up should you happen to run into any challenges with this store — They charged my account 3 times for $ 123 and told me card was declined 3 times — after contacting my bank and being told they had actually taken $ 369 from my account i couldn’t seem to get anyone at Officemax including their managers to explain to me what was happening or even help. Thank goodness for PNC Bank having my back — now they are fighting with Office Max to get this straightened out — Good Luck!

I was just in here earlier today picking up some supplies for the classroom. Not one person asked me if I needed help finding anything, a middle age balding man saw me drop some stuff I was holding, just walked away — never asked if he could get that for me. Then while checking out the girl cashier(had dark hair and glasses — I looked for a name tag) did not say, «Hello, how are you doing… did you find everything ok?» or anything of that sort. I have now witnessed how horribly run this store is and I now see why they are rated so low. I worked in retail before and I could understand if the store was swamped with people but there were about 5 other people walking through the store. I will be going elsewhere from now on.

I’ve long had problems with this store. Employees refuse to help anyone and most of them don’t speak English anyway. I’ve worked at a different OfficeMax and it’s always baffled me the way this store is run. Stay away!

Store review: Eh I would have to agree that Officemax is a slightly below average store. Prices are way higher than what you can get online. It is nice to window shop at these stores. Staff is friendly and are willing to help. They have a large selection of office furniture which can be bought at a nice price when they are being clearanced. There is a nice clearance section by the bathroom in the back of the store by the bathrooms. You can find some nice deals here i.e. a targus ipad case for only 10 dollars when it was retailing for double online, but this was for the ipad 2. Pros: large office selection for when you can’t wait, clearance deals Cons: over priced compared to online Hidden deals: Sign up for the officemax reward card to earn % back from your purchase to be used for future purchases. Use coupons to decrease cost which they send you. One downside is that the coupons usually cannot be used for tech items.

Read carefully for the reason for the 2-star review: — Neat and clean — Nice selection — Tons of stuff But: — Very very pricey. UNLESS you go there with special coupons or via a school you work for(like my dad and I) where supply expenses are picked up, this place is very expensive on many things that you can find much cheaper at half a dozen other stores. For example, a small selection of your basic yellow«post it» notes — something your common sense would tell you should be priced at about $ 1-$ 2 at most — is about $ 8.99 here! You can find these anywhere else — from Wal-Mart to Menard’s to Walgreens to even the ‘Dollar General’, for yep — about $ 1.00-$ 2.00. This«pattern» is the same on MANY of their items. Just know your prices.

This place sucks. Not only did they not have what I needed but they ignored me, all the while bitching and complaining about coworkers. Plus they were dicking around at the back of the store, so I had to hunt them down. I rarely find a reason to go to an office supply store, but if the need arises… next time I WON’T be going here.

Worst Manager ever! We shop a lot at office max but at a different location. We ended up going to this one because this store had the furniture we wanted. 20% coupon didn’t work and the manager pointed out it cannot be used on furnitures… fair enough… so we placed the order. Came home and went to and the same furniture was 20% off, added everything to the cart and then called the store hoping that they will be able to match the price(like other stores would since its their website). Talked to the manager Pete(who needs some serious customer service skills) and he said that the 20% coupon doesnt work on furnitures. Told him to go online and check it out himself… his response, i checked the coupon online before I showed up to work this morning lol. I said, can you atleast go online to your website and look it up, he said, i cant do anything so we ended up cancelling the order. I am in retail and my manager would go backwards to increase store sales. Stay away from this store if you can.

Jerks. First they advertise something that none of the stores have in stock. One store said limited availablity. So I ordered from there for store pickup. And to their credit they called me and told me that they really didn’t have it, this is good. BUT…they charged my card, and have not released the funds, now three days later.

I just don’t like going here. I work nearby and occasionally have to go here for supplies or to make copies. The copy center sucks. Office Depot has a great area with people nearby to help as well as paper clips and other supplies. Here you got nothing. No clips, no people and then you have to walk across the store to pay. Then you have to wait in line because there’s only one person working the register. So there’s no zipping in, making copies and zipping out. Figure at least 15 minutes. The copy machine is always in standby mode, so it takes a few minutes for it to warm up and the copy machines are pretty basic and very slow. The staff is spread out throughout the store and I have no idea why. They have lots of people working there, but I’m not sure what they are doing! I will have to keep returning here due to my job and the location of this place, but I really don’t like it.

This place is very unorganized and the staff is very rude. I bet they have a high turnover rate, everyone looks like they hate their job. Next time i’ll just order on Amazon, they may hate their job too, but at least i don’t have to stand there and listen to them whine about it while waiting to be rung up.

I went here this year, as well as last year for school supplies that were ONSALEINTHEAD. I went on the day the ad came out… Sunday, both times. Both times, they did not have the product advertised… and both times, they were rude and treating me like I was an imbecile. Marco in particular either hates his job or he just is rude as heck, or needs to find another line of work. I won’t be back. Guaranteed!

We went to this OfficeMax over the weekend to make a simple return. That simple return ended up taking a good 15+ minutes. The store’s layout is sloppy, with bins of school supplies and other misc. items all over the place. I didn’t have any interaction with the staff so I can’t comment there. It also appears OfficeMax is trying to lure customers in to sit down and maybe get some work done. They call it OfficeMax Café. It’s anything but a café. They basically threw down 2 tables and a handful of chairs at the front of the store. That’s it. I didn’t even see any coffee or anything. If you’re looking for a place to sit and maybe surf, find a nearby Starbucks. On the basis of the return alone, I’d give this store 1 star. However, because they generally have what we’re looking for, I’ll go for 2 stars. We frequent this store often because it’s located in an area that we always find ourselves in. My goal at this store is to go in, buy what I need, and get out. In other words, I’m not impressed.

Because this location isn’t exactly swarmed with customers, the staff is very attentive. I mainly come for the large inventory and wide variety of ordinary office supplies, which enables me to pick out a pretty pink stapler, clipboard, binder…(I could go on).
