History
Established in 1975.
The Maple Theater has had many monikers and owners over the last 37 years. In February of 2012, Cloud Nine Theater Partners purchased the cinema with the intention of updating all the facilities and turning it into a modern movie destination. We re-opened in November 2012 and our new facilities include a Great Lakes Coffeehouse, full bar, state of the art sound and visuals (featuring both digital and film presentations) and generally the best ambiance you’ll find at a movie theater in all of Michigan.
We predominantly feature independent, foreign, documentary, and art film. With the new facilities we will be broadening our programming to include «upscale» major releases, classic and cult film, special events featuring kids movies, opera, ballet, select sporting events, and even primetime television shows on the big screen.
