The Joint... the chiropractic place

I have used chiropractic services my entire life… since a teen. I had a childhood injury, and have always had a lot of back pain. It is so difficult to find someone you trust enough to allow an adjustment, as many times it makes my pain even worse for days. I moved here from Ohio late 2014. I had visited three different chiropractor offices with no success. To me a 30 second pop of a bone is not an adjustment. I was used to a good treatment that takes more than 10 minutes. So I was driving back to Ohio to see my Chiropractor, which was really not working out. Just at that time I found the The Joint in Bloomfield Hills was opening, so I thought I would give it a try. Dr. Clinton and his receptionist, Sharon, made me feel very comfortable and welcome. My needs and concerns were addressed, and he really and truly listened to what I felt I needed and wanted out of my session. He took his time with me, and I love the fact that I can buy a package. I hope that The Joint and Dr. Clinton remain in this area for many years to come. I plan to make no changes in services as long as they are here!

I’ve been using the joint in Atlanta and traveled here and found this one to be the best site yet. The adjustment wasn’t just «crack-​and-​go», full attention to all joints and the body in general.

Do not walk but run your broken, compressed or out of line back, neck, and hips to see Dr. Clinton! HE IS DA MAN!!! He knows his stuff and does not hold back. (no pun intended; cause he can crack it) As a former broadway dance professional who suffered from whip lash from multiple car accidents, Dr. Clinton is highly skilled and was able to loosen up and get movement in places in my hips, back and neck that other chiropractors had not been able to move in years. I went to him twice in 3 days and each time I left felt 2 inches taller and he had a wealth of knowledge and takes time to diagnose, feel out, and doesn’t give up on an adjustment. He is incredible and no offense, puts his fellow JOINT chiropractors in CA to shame. The next time I am in town I will definitely be paying him a visit.

I was in pain, couldn’t walk, sit, stand or lay down. I was in serious need of relief and I found it! The receptionist is amazing, very informative, friendly and enthusiastic about her job. This place is cheaper than my co-​pay and you can actually get an appointment unlike every chiropractor I called in the Birmingham area… that or they didn’t take my insurance anyway. It is a no frills place, I did kind of miss the massage roller after my adjustment. but I will take the more affordable care, walk in same day and great service anyday! Highly recommend it.

This doctor is the best chiropractor I’ve ever used. I couldn’t recommend this more strongly

I’m a 64 year old woman who has been experiencing lower back pain for over 7 months. Through my MD, I tried medications and Physical Therapy. This brought no long term relief. I visited my local Chiropractor twice a week for two months. I felt somewhat better, but not good enough yet. I was on a quest to find someone who could actually help me. Six chiropractors later, I happened to visit Dr. Clinton Chadwell at The Joint in Bloomfield Hills, MI.
There are four things that impressed me:
ONE, he took the time to really listen and understand my problem. Not just crack, pop and you’re done!
TWO, Dr. Chadwell spent more time than anyone else adjusting my spine and addressing pressure points. Always explaining what and why, I felt very confident he knew what he was doing. I’m sure he graduated at the top of his class!
THREE, he asked me how I felt afterwards. Dr. Chadwell had me move and bend to make sure I had no pain. I felt GREAT!
FOUR, most important… I CONTINUE to feel great.
I just returned from an 11 hour road trip. I had a totally pain free trip and am happy to report that I am still pain free.
This should be your first and only stop for Chiropractic care.

This is a service I’ve been waiting years for. The Joint is a Chiropractor that offers subscription services. You can pay by the visit, get on a monthly plan, a longer term plan (cheaper) or buy a set number of adjustments. The Joint is nationwide, and your «package» can travel with you!
The locations do not have any physical rehabilitation equipment other than adjustment tables. That is not their concept. Their concept is to make regular chiropractic care an affordable and accessible part of your everyday routine. No appointments. No insurance required (although I think they do take insurance). For less than the cost of one adjustment at most of the typical chiropractic clinics, you get FOUR.
If you haven’t seen a chiropractor, it is often as painless as possible. When you first walk in you are greeted and made to feel welcomed. The initial consult with the doctor is very informative and thorough. He takes his time and goes over your medical history and the places bothering you. The doctor will tell you about what all he found and what the likely causes are. When it is time for the adjustment, Dr. Chadwell explains what he is doing and why. Then afterwards, you feel AMAZING! You may be a little sore, so drink lots of water… but it’s a good sore!
Depending on the location, and the time you go… I understand that sometimes there is a wait because there is a «no appointment» system in place… so plan your timing accordingly. Of course you can usually call in to see how busy it is. If you haven’t been,
Dr. Chadwell is great! If this is your first time ($ 19.00 introductory fee!!), he will take time to learn about you… where it hurts, why it hurts, what prompted you to come in… how much pressure you prefer? He really took his time getting to know me, and offered several techniques I haven’t seen in a long time.
Personally, I bought the 10 visit package because I travel so much (and I’m not sure I can make all 4 in a month)… but I will be spending almost all of my visits with Dr. Chadwell.
If you have the opportunity, you can do like me and double up… find a massage therapist to get you nice and limber, then get an adjustment… just exactly what the Dr. ordered!

Besides the fabulous, personable service, the ambience and atmosphere are more spa like to create a more relaxed atmosphere.
