Detroit Skating Club

Wonderful skate club for figure skating. Coaches do not compare to other local locations. They are superb, friendly, professional and are world class coaches. This is our third club to belong to and they are the best. My daughter loves the café too! Best ice club food ever. Healthy choices and homemade food too! pricing is fair too! They have it all, Fred’s skate sharpening, Mrs. Jones skate shop, café, strength and conditioning classes, rehab, dress making… Best Club ever!

I am so proud to have a venue like this in our community! Watching the Olympics makes me glad to be a Michigander and a (suburban) Detroiter. I hope facilities like the DSC and all local skating clubs are not taken for granted and receive the support needed to continue to attract and train world class talent.
I’ve been here many, many times because I used to play tennis close by when I was little. I’ve known people of various skill levels who have trained here and I also have been here for open skates. Admittedly, we used to go to the Birmingham Ice Arena more when I was little, but I still have been here a lot.
It’s a great skating club with well maintained facilities and a courteous and professional staff. From those who have trained here recently, I have heard that the coaches are amazing teachers and very accomplished/​recognized in competitive skating themselves.
I could walk here (or skate here in this weather!) from home. I need to get back here for an open skate… as soon as I learn how to put my skates on again lol!

World class coaches, supportive & friendly management, on site dance studio & weight training as well as Beaumont physical therapists. We felt very welcome here right from the start!
