History
Established in 1980.
In the United States, more than 110 years ago, on March 4, 1902, representatives of the then existing 33 Alliance Française chapters in the United States met in New York City and decided to «Fédérer les Alliances»!
In the world, the very first Alliance Française was created in Paris on July 21st 1883 by a group of eminent invididuals including the scientist Louis Pasteur, the diplomat Ferdinand de Lesseps, the writers Jules Verne and the publisher Armand Colin.
