I love this store and what it represents: high quality, integrity, love-​filled products. I learn something new everything I come in. You can tell just from a few visits that everyone truly cares for pets and are advocates for education, awareness, and truth about pet health and wellbeing. The friendliest and highest level of customer service. Good prices for good products.
I personally cannot stand going into a store and finding lots of cheap slave labor sweat shop China-​made products that are probably filled with poison and terrifying filler products just like the mainstream pet food brands do. This shop refuses to carry anything like that. Quality, safe products only here.
I really trust the product decisions they make, and the advice they give, and feel comfortable to purchase anything in store and know I won’t hurt my pup. Thank you for that, Bow Wow & Woofs. You guys are truly a blessing to the community.

Heather, the owner, speaks my language when it comes to advocating for the health and wellbeing of our pets. I always have refreshing and intelligent conversation with her.
Lots of great stuff is stocked here: my go tos are The Honest Kitchen raw dehydrated food, raw tripe, jackets and fleecies.
I just want to comment on the persons review below who had to pay for a toy that your dog peed on… Duh.
Great little store easily accessible to those living on either side of the border.

Have been here a couple of times to buy coats because they are the only ones we’ve found that fit right. Other than that it’s a lot of high priced foo foo stuff.

Heather and her staff have always taken the time to be very helpful and informative. I’ve spent a lot of time staring at pet food, trying to figure out how to feed my aging pets, and they’ve always been helpful. Kudos to them.

As a store owner myself I am appalled at the review before mine. Your pet ruined something, expensive or not, and in my store you would have to have paid at least the cost of the item as it would now be ruined for anyone else. My male frenchie has brain damage and I watch him carefully everytime I bring him in a store as I would be horrified should he pee in someones store, just as if he were a child who ruined something in someones store or home.
When I went to the store the staff was excellent, and very friendly. Answered all my questions, and were very helpful. Even when I mentioned I owned a pet boutique as well (and could have been competition but Im not, Im in Canada just over the border)
I found them very reasonable priced for many things likes coats and collars, and was impressed with the selection. Has some GREAT foods, including raw.
Will be a a stop I go to every time I go shopping in the States, to pick up treats I cant get here in Canada.

I took my dog into this store and unfortunately he urinated on an expensive cat toy… maybe he was expressing his opinion of the high price they placed on this ridiculous toy but I think that he smelled another dog’s pee and attempted to cover it.
I did what I thought was the right thing to do and waited in line to speak with the clerk. She was talking with a customer and didn’t bother acknowledging me for at least 5 minutes.
When it was my turn I confessed to my dog’s mistake and asked for something to clean it up with. Without a word she grabbed a spray bottle and a paper towel and followed me to the cat toy.
When she saw the toy (that was sealed in plastic) her face dropped and she said «you are going to have to pay for this». «This is inexcusable… your dog is never allowed in this store again!»
I was embarrassed and humiliated as she marched me up to the cash register to ring up the cat toy.
She said that I owed over $ 50.00 and that’s when my humility turned to rage and I said that I wasn’t buying the toy. She took down my information for the owner to contact me and I walked out of the store.
I felt the disapproval from this woman the moment I walked into the store because my dog resembles a pit bull. I am certain that is what it was.
I wrote a letter to the owner and she e-​mailed me back saying that she was very concerned but she never followed through with anything. I never heard from her again.
I wouldn’t set foot in that store for that reason!!!

An exceptional locally owned and operated pet store located in the new Birch Bay Square complex. I enjoyed the deep selection of quality dog foods here including the high quality low-​grain and grain-​free Merrick and Orijen brands. Very kind and helpful employees who were engaging and warm.
They had a large selection of treats and toys in very new, clean and modern setting. We found some unique toys that we made sure to purchase because we live almost 1500 miles away. If I was a nearby resident, I would be making this business my primary place of business to procure food for my pets as well as the occasional treat. Prices were competitive and on par with what I would expect for higher quality items.
