O-Pass Tea & Crepe

Very yummy. I always get black tea with peach flavoring and added boba, but I find that I like the white peach because it’s not as sweet and overwhelming! Very nice people and a very cute addition to UCM. Their boba are nice and chewy too.

Their bubble tea are watery and they are bought, they are not fresh you have to pay for extra smoothy texture. I don’t think they know what bubble tea are supposed to be like. The owners were nice tho. I would not recommend this place for bubble tea lovers.

Opass is amazing.
My college memories are studded with those times I craved bubble tea and went to this fine establishment. For a tea shop inside a strip mall in South West Virginia, the bubble tea is top notch. They don’t use powders here and it is Asian verified. I would highly recommend the matcha, taro and almond.
Opass is in my heart forever.

In regards to the bubble tea, the Taro Bubble Tea is a definite go-​to, while the other flavors haven’t been quite so reliable for me. The crêpes however are a bit of a disappointment. My cheese crêpe came overcooked after a fairly long delay, with rather crispy edges. Go for the tea, the crêpes not so much.

Their crepes are like a bouquet of dying roses. Their bubble tea is mundane. Their tables are almost always sticky and not properly cleaned.

Every time I’ve craved bubble tea, I have gone to the location and they have not once been opened. They close for entire school breaks when not everyone who lives in Blacksburg «goes home» for the entire winter, spring, or summer break. The bubble tea has been good the one time I was able to make it there, but they should clarify exactly when they will and will not be opened. I’ve gone to oasis and started making my own bubble tea, but the convenience of a bubble tea store would be nice. Even now it says the place is opened (which it is NOT).

I really like this place. I’ve been here a handful of times and the people who work here are pretty nice. I would say of the five or so times I’ve been here, my boba has only been hard once. I haven’t really enjoyed hot milk tea before, but they make it really well here. It’s really nice on a cold rainy/​snowy day. I also like that there’s a ton of seating. I think this place can fit over 30 people in 4-​person tables around the place. There are also some tables outside the place in the «mall.» They’re also open until 11, which is half an hour later than the Starbucks across the street. Free wifi, clean bathrooms.

Cute little place serving bubble tea and crepes. They have lots of flavors that you can get with or without bubbles. I got a warm matcha milk tea with bubbles and it was good! Tea wasn’t too sweet and bubbles were the perfect texture. Definitely will be back to try other flavors and their crepes! Also, this would be a nice place to study if they didn’t play loud club music.

crepes are a little crunchy — boba tea is good, but they lack in the true tea department. also you never know when they will be open or not and what they will be out of.

A little expensive for what it is, especially since it’s Blacksburg. The chicken katsu is weird and mall food-​y, and way too salty. Their crepes are decent, but I’ve found better ones at the Blacksburg farmers market. Their nong shim noodle soup is just packaged noodles you can get at H-​Mart, but they are spicy remind me of home :)
Where O-​Pass really excels is its drinks! I love the fact that they have rose and lavender flavors here, I’ve tried them as a milk tea, black iced tea and black hot tea. I’ve been looking all over NOVA for these flavors with no luck. I once spent a whole day here studying since the Empo was closed, and noticed that almost everyone ordered taro, a flavor that no one at home ever tries so it must be fantastic.
They will only punch a punch card if you spend more than $ 10, and they don’t take Hokie Passport so I usually end up at Yogi Factory, which isn’t nearly as good. Cute atmosphere and a nice splurge for myself before a loooong night at the empo.

YUM. I came here on Saturday and my friend recommended the Chicken Katsu with Rice (and sides of potatoe salad, seaweed, and miso soup). Oh boy, it was good! Chicken Katsu basically crispy chicken, coated with an Asian, spicy seasoning. The dish all together was a good size and the rice was cooked perfectly! Chicken katsu has become my new favorite Japanese dish!
I also ordered the Taro milk tea with lychee and in smoothie form (extra money for the lychee and smoothie conversion). It was much better than the first time I had it, which was just regular milk tea.
This place just keeps getting better with every visit. I love how they’re constantly coming up with new menu items that are taste delicious! I have also noticed that O-​pass has become more generous with the fillings in their crepes! My friend’s banana crêpe with strawberry jelly was filled with banana and gooey goodness! I have a sudden desire to eat through their menu!

My favorite lunch place. A little expensive if you get a drink, too, but the discount punch card helps a bit if you go a lot like I do. Tons of drink variety, though I’ve only tried the matcha, original, and taro bubble milk teas, which are all good. I love their crepes – they are a perfect size for lunch, and are a well-​balanced meal (I usually add extra lettuce or corn for added nutrition.). Nice magazine selection for reading, and free Wifi. Décor is fun and modern – bright orange and white with natural wood. The only downside is no exterior windows due to mall location.

Not the bubble tea that I’m used to from Nova, Richmond or Cali, but not bad either. Very over priced, but they’ve got me hooked only because I like the thai tea with the yummy chewy boba. I like how they make their boba, its not too hard or soft. that’s what she said… but nah, they don’t specialize in slushies, its more of a milk tea place. From what I’m aware of they mostly use powders and mix everything with shakers. I’ve heard their crepes are orgasmic also, but I have yet to try one, hopefully before I graduate. i’ll keep you posted if I do try one (: Free Wi-​Fi is definitely a plus too.

Some people think that we just use powders to make our drinks as other shops do. We do add creamer to our milk-​tea based drinks, since it’s one of the essential ingredient of Taiwanese bubble tea. But we are NOT like most of the tea shops that use 3-​in-​1 milk-​tea powder, slushie powders (that makes their slushie tasted good but it is indeed unhealthy) or flavored tea powder to make their drinks. We do hourly brew fresh black and green tea as base and use syrup that contains concentrated juices for flavoring most of our drinks, except for flavors such as Taro and Matcha that come naturally in powder form. No mention that we even insist to use purified water to make our drinks healthy or just for being tasted good.
