History

Established in 1994.

Impact Gallery was started by entrepreneurs Lynn Prouty and Wayne Pruse on the corner of 4th and Broadway in Downtown Bismarck. In the beginning we were Impact «Gallery and Gifts». Wayne Pruse used to paint in the window on Broadway Avenue. That was definitely unusual and ahead of it’s time. He was limited to paint on a 30″ X 40″ piece of illustration board. Starting small, Impact eventually grew to take over the former Hoskins– Meyer Flower Shop space. Wayne’s work became much larger without the restriction of the window. In 2001 Impact ran a worldwide catalog business with the artist and writer SARK. Three catalogs were produced. Lynn worked in Interior Design with Feng Shui. Her largest project was an 8,000 square foot space for The St. Alexius Center for Integrated Medicine at Gateway Mall in Bismarck, ND. Prouty teaches calligraphy lessons and conducts workshops. She also is a writer, watercolor and oil painter who runs the business of Impact. Wayne is happiest when he is painting
