History

Established in 2011.

Bismarck Motor Company was purchased in July 2011 by Kupper Automotive. It joins the family of Kupper Chevrolet and Kupper Subaru. We offer the newest Honda’s, Nissan’s, Volkswagen’s and Hyundai’s in Bismarck/​Mandan.

Bob Kupper is originally from Ray, North Dakota. He enjoys camping, drag racing, and fishing. His first car was a 1972 Dodge Polara. Bob’s favorite thing about the dealership is watching his employees grow at their positions & be successful. Bob started at the Chevrolet dealership as a sales consultant, moved into finance and was asked to purchase the store in 1986. He purchased the Honda, Nissan, Hyundai store summer of 2011. In 2014, he brought the Volkswagen franchise to the group. Kupper Automotive makes up Kupper Chevrolet, Kupper Subaru, Bismarck Motor Company and ABRA Auto Body and Glass.
