Description

Specialties

This is the gallery for the fine artist Howard Kline, established in 1972. Howard specializes in bold, brilliant watercolors and classical figure drawing. In an effort to make art available to everybody, Howard has giclee reproductions of his work available in several sizes and formats. He manages all aspects of the gallery, including art consultation and framing for his work. Howard also is available for lectures and art demonstrations pertaining to his work.

History

Established in 1972.

Howard started his gallery in his native New England, and after thirty years, moved his studio and gallery to Cambria, one of California’s art colonies by the sea to reach a wider audience. Howard was always interested in living in a city that had history, and found a larger building on the sunny side of Main Street in Bisbee, Arizona. It reminded him of his hometown in New England, and was perfect for expanding his studio and gallery space.

Meet the Business Owner

Howard K.

Business Owner

I began my career as a fine artist in 1972. I am a graduate of Montserrat College of Art and my paintings are inspired by my experiences as a 60’s rock n’ roll jazz drummer, lobster fisherman, and art educator. My painting style is borne from the highly emotional Abstract Expressionist movement of the 1940′s. All of my art is full of color and emotion and my paintings are my personal mythology. A large part of what drives me to painting is a passion to create a place where I want to be, a place full of kindness and consideration.
