There’s probably not much I can tell you about The Home Depot that you don’t already know. But what about this… It is a pretty darn good place to find a good, inexpensive Christmas tree. For real. While Christmas tree shopping, we continued to run into $ 65 and up trees. Surely there were other options, right? We’d been to some great farms in the past, but just didn’t have time this year. That’s when we decided to stop by Home Depot on a whim. Turns out, they’ve got great 6′ Frazier Furs for only $ 29.99! We ended up getting a great 7′ for only $ 39. The two guys working in the outdoor department were very helpful and courteous. After I picked out the tree, they did all the dirty work. I usually don’t review the big box stores, but I was pretty impressed with this one(and their trees).

You see professional contractors in here all of the time for a reason… this place has what is needed for home renovations! Look for sales and if you see a sale somewhere else, they will price match it. Also, they have a pretty good return policy. The staff knows what is up. I have been given good advice on grill parts, lawn equipment, light switches, light fixtures, and material to make shelves to be mounted to the wall and a freestanding shoe shelf. When I was making my shoe shelf an employee told me a much less expensive way to make what I was trying to make than the plan I went in there with. He cut my project cost by more than half!

Galleria location is just minutes from my house and has everything you could ever need and helpful staff. Picked up a new lawnmower blade for $ 20.

If you need help, Saturday night is not the time to go, I quickly found out. It was a real trial trying to snag someone to help me with my drilling crisis since the hardware section was ghostly deserted, but at least it was resolved(i.e. by going to the info desk to have a lady page Larry). Fun times.
