I haven’t had a bad experience at any of the locations I have been to. I have had a good variety of the food and it’s all very good. I especially love the weekend pasta dish! Service is also very fast and usually very friendly

I am a fan of Taziki’s. Great Mediterranean food at a good price. As a chain, It’s not going to beat out a true Mediterranean hole-in-the-wall restaurant, but it’s not trying to do so. Taziki’s has a lot of things on their menu, and even someone as picky as me can find something they love. My favorites are the specials on Monday and Friday. The Monday special is a grilled chicken sandwich with portobello mushrooms. As good as it is though, it doesn’t beat the Friday Special(good all weekend) is probably their most famous meal, and for good reason. I keep coming back for it, though I do make some changes on mind(which they graciously accommodate). I highly recommend giving any of the Taziki’s locations a try.

Here’s what I like about Taziki’s…there’s something for everyone. I’ve always been a fan of the grilled chicken roll-ups. The serving size is more than enough because you also get a healthy side. I usually get the roasted new potatoes OR the basmati rice as my side. You can’t go wrong with either; you can taste the lemon in both sides, but not overpowering. There’s also fresh pasta salad, fresh cut fruit and tomato-cucumber salad. I’ve had the lemon chicken soup several times and generally I like it. But the last time I had it, it was a little too lemon-y and the soup was a tad oily. But, normally a good choice with small pieces of chicken. Today I tried the daily special… on the weekends it’s Taziki’s Signature Pasta. This dish is a favorite of big groups for catered meals. You’ve got penne pasta, grilled chicken(big chunks), with fresh chopped tomatoes and basil on top of a bed of lettuce. Oh and how can I forget the feta sprinkled generously throughout the dish. It comes with their balsamic vinaigrette, which is not too tart like some vinaigrettes. The Signature Pasta dish is more filling than you would think and it satisfies my tastebuds. There are also several options for meat-less meals, none of which I’ve tried but I heard the grilled veggie plate is really good. I’ve only had chicken here so I can’t speak to the quality of the lamb or beef. I got my food to go and it was in and out in less than 10 minutes. Taziki’s is a much better option than fast food, it’s quick and if you eat in, you can get a full meal without the large restaurant hassle or prices. The majority of their menu options are less than $ 10. I gave Taziki’s five stars because I’ve always gotten quality food at great prices and every location I’ve visited has been consistent in providing good service. I’m really glad they opened this location in Trussville. We needed something like this on this end of town.

I’ll say this before I start… I’m picky when it comes to Greek food, and I’m used to eating in one of the many Greek family-owned establishments within the Birmingham area. Around here, we have chefs like George Sarris who have spoiled us all entirely on the good stuff. I really wish I’d been more aware that this is a chain restaurant, because the food didn’t really meet my expectations. The food is… okay. My main beef is that you don’t simply just dump meet and tzatziki sauce on a pita and call it a gyro.(Do you HEARME, Arby’s!!!) A gyro… a TRUE gryo… draws it’s power from an cone of meat of ungodly proportions that has been slowly crisped to perfection on a vertical rotisserie, and the shavings of that delicious and crispy part are what truly makes a gyro. The grilled lamb«gyro» I ordered was, alas, no such masterpiece. It was okay, authenticity aside, but the lamb was a little tough, and I could only barely taste the tzatziki sauce. I’ll be heading to my usual REAL gyro joint on the other side of town this weekend to rectify that whole situation, because it just left me wanting for an actual gyro. The chips on the side were, well, chips from a bag. There’s really nothing I can compliment the chef on with that. My daughter ate them after picking at the child’s feast she demanded. The basamati rice was good, though. My husband ordered the lamp entrée, and his lamb was also kind of on the tough side, which is a sin at this point, really. He did enjoy the potatoes and Greek salad. The hummus with warm pita bread, however, was a HUGE hit. I just wish I could have taken it home. I walked up to the counter to see about getting a to-go container, but nobody was there at the time. Which brings me to… Service… The food came quickly, which is good. I’d have rather made my own drink, as the service was pretty much limited to plopping our food down onto the table. There was nobody to stop by and refill our drinks, so we took them up to the counter, which I always hate having to do. Location… I really hate this stretch of Highway 11. Everything here is limited on parking, and the traffic is a nightmare if you’re trying to get out. Price… It’s okay. It’s fast casual pricing, which isn’t lousy. I’ve paid more to sit down. Cleanliness… The restaurant is nice and clean. I didn’t notice any major health or hygiene issues. There are just too many other genuine mom and pop Greek places in the area that are both better and cheaper. So it’s hard to justify going here with that in mind. But if you just happen to be driving by or like this particular chain… It’s okay, I guess.

I love Greek food and Taziki’s didn’t let me down. I really like that they have some healthier choices. I travel a lot so I eat out often but I try to eat well on the go. I had a greek salad with grilled chicken. The other people in my group got the lamb platter and a steak salad. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Service was prompt and all staff was polite.

Meh. The lamb is almost invariably tough. Better marketing than food.

I’m here for a conference this week and I love Mediterranean food… so when I saw this place I had to check it out! I got the chicken gyro with roasted potatoes. It was very tasty! The grilled chicken was seasoned very well with lettuce, tomatoes, onions on a soft warm pita roll with the Tzatziki sauce! Yummy in my tummy!!!

Great lunch specials, I had the lamb Gyro with cucumber salad. Lamb was ground and grilled vs sliced off the Spicket and the Taziki sauce was a little runny as I prefer the yogurt base type. Other than this the meal was outstanding. I highly recommend this place prices are great as well

I’ve been many times to the Taziki’s just off the Liberty Pkwy exit, so when the location opened in Trussville, near where I work, I had to try it out. At this location, you don’t get your own drink. You sit down and your drink and refills are gotten for you by a member of their staff. The food was great — Just like the other I’ve visited. Very fresh and tasty. The service is a bit spotty. Once it was difficult to get a refill, the next time there was no issue. I will say one thing… Get there early. The parking around the building is a nightmare and it’s nearly impossible to make a left turn out.
