Tameron Honda

In a life history of approximately 10 new cars buys and around 30 showroom visits with serious intent to buy, this was THE WORST car buying experience ever. Multiple interactions with sales staff revealed them to be obstinate at best, and outright rude and insulting at worst. I will be notifying Honda of North America and Costco (as their local Honda ‘affiliate’) of my experience. My brief interaction with the service department revealed them to be the exception – quick, pleasant, and professional.
Do yourself a favor, take the hour and drive to Jasper. Great staff, they treat you with respect, and they don’t play the nickel-​and-​dime game nor the wait-​while-​I-​check-​on-​that technique. In fact, despite the drive, I’ll bet you get in and out, and save money, in less time than dealing with Tameron.

Bought a used car here over the weekend. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating. They provided me with everything I asked for, including a list of all the things that were repaired/​replaced when the car arrived on their lot. The car was priced fairly and buying was stress-​free. The only thing that concerned me after we drove off the lot was the indicator light came on – the oil level was very low. Everything was closed at that point and we were 100 miles from home. I was NOT happy about that.

I went in on Saturday for my first oil change on my 2015 civic si. I hate when other people touch my vehicle. I will always fix my my own car and change my own oil. I have the free two years of maintenance so I figure I would give it a shot. It took forever just for an oil change. When they were bringing my car around, they were revving the engine like madman! (I have a catback exhaust on it) when the brought it around, they was a coffee stain on the trunk and I just had the car detailed. None of the fluids of topped off, I ran out of wiper fluid and it was not filled. They overfilled my engine oil, I brought it to my house and drained it. I will be doing my own oil changes from now on and it doesn’t bother me if it’s free at the dealership. I would rather pay for my own oil changes before these people touch my car again!
Will be finding another Honda dealership.

I took my car in for service the end of July. The first time a sensor went out on my car and the second time in the same week, I had my oil changed and my airbags repaired due to a Honda recall. After that, I noticed my radio starting going on and off by itself. A few days later my ac/​heater unit stopped working. I took it back to Tameron Honda. Dropped it off on a Saturday at 6:15am. The service adviser gave me a price quote and said it would be no more than that. I called to get an update (to which I have to keep calling to get an update) and he tells me they don’t know what’s wrong with it and to let them keep. I call back on Monday and my car is still not working. They still don’t know what’s wrong with it. He said he takes care of his customers and that he’s going to put me in a rental car. I was very hesitant about the rental car but I decided okay well maybe they will have my car fixed or at least a firm diagnosis by Tuesday. Come Tuesday, I waited until 12pm no word from the service adviser. So I called and left a voicemail. Waited about a 30 minutes to an hour and no return call so I decided to call back. He answers after being transferred by the cashier. He tells me what they think it is but is not sure. I asked him about keeping the rental. He tells me to return the rental car and come pick up my car until they get the part in that will cost about $ 650.00 and then when they get the part in, then bring my car back for them to fix. No, the proper thing to do would have been to let your customer keep the rental car until you get the part in to fix their car. I would have paid for my car to be fixed if I had been treated fairly. Not put me in a vehicle without working air. Mind you, you’ve had my car since Saturday and here it is Tuesday and you give me back my car like no big deal. So in other words, this is how you treat loyal customers who has referred people to your dealership and purchased two brand new cars from you myself. Really! Not another dime of my money will go to Tameron Honda with that kind of treatment. I need another car now but I sure as he! won’t get it from Tameron. I’ll take my business somewhere else. I’ll refer others to go somewhere else too.

Had a VERY easy time just dealing with the service department over the phone. Very helpful and forthcoming about everything I needed and referred me to the appropriate place. Thanks Brad!

Got a call from Rudy the service manager who was great to deal with and he reversed the over charges for the work done to my window. I appreciate his help and willingness to reach out. My concern remains, and I shared this with him on the phone, that there are a lot of moving parts at Tameron and it seems easy to excuse one’s actions by a call from another person in a different department with an apology. I shared the story about the offer we received to buy our car for $ 2500 for a car that Blue Book’s at over $ 5400 in trade and nearly $ 7500 for private party sale so I’m still cautious about doing business with a place like that overall but buyer beware. Rudy is a good guy to deal with though.

I did not buy a car here but, I had a bad customer service experience from the mechanic center receptionists. The Lady on the phone was rude and acted like she was doing me a favor by talking to me on the phone.
I know she has nothing to do with the other people that work there but, if you can’t find someone that can help people over the phone then I’ll just go with a friendly local business.

After buying two cars, both Honda Civics from this dealership, we are finally done. Our first car sold to us at a reasonable price and we were treated well by a gentleman who is now in used car department. That is what we were told. On our second car we came back, because we had such a good experience. the second time, they overcharged us and slipped in a tire warranty for $ 995 as part of the «gap insurance». This on top of the roughly $ 2000 they charge on every new civic on the lot for frivolous stuff like pin stripping, sun roof wind blocker. This stuff is clearly an overcharge to jack up the price of the car. Once we discovered the errant charge for the «tire warranty», they offered to pay down the loan the $ 995 since they couldn’t take it off. This was suppose to take 6 weeks, but took nearly 4 months and constant begging from us. They were clearly hoping to wear us down until we gave up or just forgot about this charge.
This Honda Civic 2012 EX cost us nearly $ 3000 more than the MSRP on the car window after telling my wife she would pay $ 21,500 for the car.
We stopped in recently just to see the newer models and inquire on price. The sales person had to keep going to their sales manager, during the hour we were there. We also talked to these two sales managers during the time. We told them we couldn’t afford a larger payment than we already had, which was $ 371. They took our current car for appraisal while we waited 25mins alone, with no explanation. When they finally returned, they offered us a payment of $ 1000+ per month, IF we put down $ 4000 and our current 2012 honda civic EX. The same Honda Civic they overcharged her originally. They took a $ 25 000 civic SI 2013 and added charges to the price until it was $ 30 000+.
I know they were starting high to help their negotiating position, but this was insulting and not in good faith.
The fact that we spent 6 hours each time we bought our previous two cars there was clearly a tactic to wear you down. This dealership practices con artist tactics to try to sell you a car.
Although we originally were recommending our friends after our first purchase, it’s clear something has changed and we will not recommend these dealership to our worst enemies, nor our friends and we will campaign against anyone who is interested in buying a car from this terrible dealership.
Tameron Honda should be ashamed of these practices. rip off.

Aw, Tameron Honda is all right. I did not buy a car here so I can’t comment on that but I have gotten my car’s regularly scheduled maintenance performed here and didn’t have any issues with that.
Last year I tried to make an appointment online using their online form, and someone e-​mailed me back to confirm, but this year, my online form request must’ve gotten tossed into an internet black hole. Better call to make an appointment. Though I’m not even sure you need an appointment. But make one just to be sure.
The people working here are nice and don’t try to force you to get the most expensive tune-​up package. Plus the waiting area has been remodeled, so it’s all white, bright, and gleaming. Free wifi! That sold me on the place. That and free drinks like coffee, soda, water, and snacks like cookies. My car seems happy enough!

They are the biggest Scam artists. I bought a brand new Civic from there and have had nothing but problems ever since. My a/​c quit working at 20,000 miles. I paid $ 300 to fix it, only to have it quit working again. After taking it to Tameron a second time, I decided to take it somewhere else. Tameron had put Duct tape on the loose wires (that were the real problem) but kept telling me it was something else! They were so rude

Today I went into Tameron Honda ready to buy a new Honda CRV.
My trade-​in was ready and I knew what a fair price was. They made me wait around for nearly 2 hours before giving me an offer one thousand dollars higher than what I offered on arrival.
There is no reason why they couldn’t have told me up front that my offer was not acceptable! Plus the sales manager was rude!
Even though I have bought a car there in the past, I won’t be going back.
