Regions Field

Been to numerous Barons games at the stadium and always had a great experience. The park is modern, great looking and functional. Plenty of space and options for seating. Also lots of food and drink options.
Parking can be a struggle but if you get there early enough then that shouldn’t be a problem.

Regions Field is definitely a jewel in the crown of downtown Birmingham live entertainment venues. Having recently gone to a game at one of America’s most beloved MLB stadiums, I really took in an appreciation for the layout of the stadium, the viewing angles of the seats, and the atmosphere surrounding the stadium. This is one of the best minor league stadiums I have ever been to. Plenty of food options with relatively short waiting times, local options for food and drink at the concession stands, lots of options for kids and adults, and decent prices make the eating and drinking experience pretty darn good. Parking shouldn’t be too much of a problem with lots of reasonably priced parking lots and free street parking all around the stadium. Hey, really do it up and get your company to buy some of those club seats, cause I can tell you that club level is slamming!

I like the new stadium but the parking situation is ridiculous. I was towed last year even though I was parked in a lot that had a sign for event parking. They towed me and dozens of others. If the Barons want to keep people coming they need to address this. It wound up costing me almost $ 200 to get my car out, and I haven’t been back since.

Fantastic field! Before spring 2013, the Birmingham Barons were previously at the Hoover Met which was perfectly fine, but nothing beats being in the heart of Birmingham and not the suburbs.
Parking: There are paid options nearby, or you can also try for free street parking.
Security: I’ve never felt unsafe in the neighborhood after the game, but it’s always smart to be with a buddy. I do see employees in golf carts offering rides which is good.
Tickets: Order online or just go before your game though there are often lines at the box office. Don’t worry though, since all the seats are pretty close. No Major League pricing here.
I took some visitors to this ballpark, and they were suitably impressed, as they should be. Reading on the website, I learned that the designers wanted to pay respects to Birmingham’s steel past and took style elements from Sloss Furnaces and utilized lots of steel when creating Regions Field. Very cool! You can make a loop of the entire stadium while admiring the Birmingham skyline. There are plenty of well-​maintained bathrooms. And don’t forget the Barons store to take home a shirt or cap.
Look up the promotional schedule; there’s sure to be at least one event on your date. I’ve been known to take full advantage of Tuesday’s 50 Cent Hot Dog Night. If nothing else, there’s always the Tool Race during the game. Laughs for all.
Chill out before or after the game at the Good People brewery across the main entrance. Railroad Park is so close, and it seems like new businesses are popping up all over.

Three words Lets play ball .I instantly flashed back to my child hood I have been to some great ball parks also got taken for a lot of money at those same ball parks. Simply put great park great fun at an affordable price go out and catch a game you will thank me for it

Beautiful. Just doesn’t seem like the right word to use for this field. I love it! This was a well thought out addition to our wonderful city. I am not a big baseball fan, but Regions Field is just too nice to pass up. One of my favorite areas is the ballroom/​meeting space upstairs that overlooks the field. I have attended many nonprofit events that used this area. You get the best of both words-​you get to support your charity, and you get to watch the game from either inside with the plush air conditioning, on the private balcony seating, or the stool area outside near the stairs. Either choice is fantastic. Don’t sleep on this venue. You have to experience it even if you don’t like baseball.

Regions field is first class! It gives you a big ballpark feel without a big ball park price. When you enter into the park, you see the beautiful green field open up in front of you. The smells of the ballpark waft into your nostrils. Hot dogs… burgers…little boys and girls running around gleefully. Makes you wanna run around too without a care. Takes you immediately to your childhood. Regions is what you love about baseball… memories of simpler times…

When the weather permits, you got to come out here and catch a ball game. This is one of those events that brings everyone from all areas of Bham to one spot. They may not have a major team, but the spirit is def here. The food is pretty on point for ball food. It’s always great to get outdoors.

Regions Field is so nice and fun to go to. It is exactly the place that downtown Birmingham needed in order to attract young people and families. Barons games are the perfect place to go on Thursday and Friday evenings!

Even when we lose, the fireworks are a winner every time! One thing I love about Regions Field is that you can walk all the way around the field. So you can never have a bad angle of the game. Every seat provides a great view, even from the rocking chairs in the outfield.
The Barons organization seems to work at making every game a special event. So regardless of whether they are finishing the evening with fireworks, there’s something fun for all fans.
I’ve missed having Good People IPA on draft in the Beer Garden this season. And I hope that will change in the days ahead.

A great event space for large events during the off season. Friendly staff, large open event spaces, everything still feels new.

The stadium is great and is really bringing life into the area. It’s so nice to have the Barons back in Birmingham. Regions Field and Railroad Park are wonderful additions to this city and I’m so lucky to have had opportunities to frequent them both!

I’m so glad that Birmingham has Regions Field. Parking is well regulated during game days and every time I have gone to watch a baseball game I’ve had the best time. There are lots of food and drink options and a few different places to get them at the park so you are not waiting too long. I’m glad the park is next to Good People and Railroad Park. I particularly enjoy the rocking chairs and food trucks during games!

Great location! Just to give you a little history lesson on this team. Two years ago, this the Birmingham Barons was location in Hoover Alabama, a quaint little city south of town when the Birmingham City leaders decided to help bring the Birmingham Barons to Birmingham. At first many people couldn’t understand the movement and the location of were they are now at was really run down. Prior to their move, the Good People Brewery decided to relocate and much to their surprise so did the Barons. Since then, many other business have begun to relocate in the once crime ridden area and collectively have help revitalize the city. The Birmingham Barons has also tried to extend their reach to the historic Rickwood field which happens the be the oldest ballpark in the country. Read up on it, and you’ll be impressed. In all, they built a new stadium with the capability to accommodate many and have kept their «Thirsty Thursday» session. For those of you who don’t know, every Thursday game, the stadium offers $ 2 beers until the 7^th inning. The only negative is their parking situation, but hey, the positive far outweigh the negatives. The Birmingham Barons is a must stop for anyone new to the city. Go Barons!
PS: this team is the minor league team for the Chicago white socks, the same team Michel Jordan played for. :)

This is truly a wonderful place to be on any given night during the summer. Doesn’t it just take you back instantly to your childhood sitting in that seat behind home plate.
My husband is an umpire and he loves to comment on the games and critique the other umpires. They have a great place for the kids to run around and a place to play. Truly fun for people of all ages. If you get there early enough you can sit in the wooden rockers necar the field. Good food and good drinks.~

Take me out to the ball game, take me out to the crowd. Buy me some peanuts & cracker jack… I don’t care if I ever get back, so it’s root-​root-​root for the home team. If they dont win its a shame. For its 1,2,3 strikes you’re out at the ol ball game.
Really great venue in Birmingham! The field is a beautiful addition to the city. Love when we have club level seats.
Only downside-​the food is NOT the best, definitely not worth the price.

This place is magnificent. The staff are always kind and abundantly helpful. The food/​drinks are stellar quality and fairly priced. The views of downtown can’t be beat. Simply put, if you haven’t been here for a ballgame then you are missing out big time.

Wow! I’ve not been to a lot of ballparks lately to compare but I can tell you that Regions Field is awesome. It doesn’t matter where you’re sitting, you’re close to action. I nabbed a front row seat (yep, Row A!) along the third base line and nearly got clobbered by two foul balls. You have to pay attention here, it doesn’t matter where you’re sitting. Even the folks behind home plate (where there is *some* netting) got a ricochet that was over the net and then dropped back down into the stands.
Concessions are expensive, as you would expect at any baseball park. $ 4.50 for a hotdog or $ 5 for a beer. Hey, that’s how these things work. Not a tremendous list of options for food. Hot dogs, nachos, pizza, peanuts. I don’t recall seeing anything else. What was neat that there was a long counter along the concessions level where you could stand and eat while still being able to see the game.
I found my seat to be comfortable, as long as I wanted to look directly ahead. But the action was off to the side, so I was constantly turned and it gave me a bit of a neck ache after a while. All seats except the front row have cupholders.
There is a lot of fan engagement going on here. From the marriage proposal (she turned him down and went with the mascot instead) to the gals with t-​shirt cannons and the taco/​hot dog race from right field to first base. Fun!
Parking isn’t terrible, if you arrive early enough you can find street parking within a block or three. Flag down one of the golf carts if you want a lif. Kill the time before the game across the street at Good People Brewing!
Tip: There is only one scoreboard showing replays and statistics. It’s in left field. I would really recommend sitting over in the first base side of the park.

I take back everything I ever muttered about Birmingham not being to spend money on a downtown stadium. This facility is top-​notch. One of my favorite summer hang-​out spots. Thirsty Thursday has improved by leaps and bounds. The first one I attended, I saw a total of 2−½ innings of baseball; the rest of the time was spent waiting in line for either a ticket or food– not even an adult beverage. Now they’ve got plenty of beer stands and a beer garden/​biergarten to meet those needs so you ain’t cussing that all you really want is some nachos.
There’s not a bad seat in the house for rooting for the home team. The view of the skyline is city-​pride inducing. And don’t forget to stop by Good People and one of the food trucks.
