Listen, if you want a nice beer and some munchies, go here. But the deli closes shortly after 5 pm on weekdays. And the wine is hit or miss; most of it is stored standing up, drying the cork. The people are nice. But I have found mold on bread on the shelf. I wish it were my go to store. And it was. But I do most of my shopping elsewhere now.

I am always impressed with their selection of wine and beer! Better prices than other places. They also have a decent amount of organic produce. Their Ethnic selection is also very impressive specifically the Arabic and Mexican items. I am so happy this supermarket is in my neighborhood! One of the best Pigs in town!

Great store. Courteous employees. Good steam table. Great beer selection. Unfortunately I will no longer shop there because they have posted«No Weapons Permitted Inside Store».

I can always count on the Pig to have something I need! For example, I was making Chex Mix and Publix and Winn Dixie were out of Wheat Chex. I called this location and the manager answered, went to go check the shelf himself. He then said that they didn’t have it on the shelf because it had to be reordered but it had just come in. He went to the back and got a box out of the crate and had it waiting for me to pick it up at the store! If that’s not great customer service I don’t know what it! Another time, there was a wine my boyfriend and I had at a wine bar and we had been looking all over the city at wine shops to find it. What do you know this Pig had it!

I can’t say that I was at all impressed with this smaller footprint supermarket, which did not have at least three of the things on my very small shopping list. The checker was polite and friendly though.

Just can’t quite bestow 4 stars but it garners points for the handy location. If I’m unable to get to my favorite food purveyor Publix, the Pig will do all right. It just feels smallish and old and not as bright, big, and cheery as Publix. And the produce section doesn’t exactly blow me away. The employees are all pretty nice though. In case you were wondering about the craft beer selection, it doesn’t seem too bad, but the PW in Homewood can’t be beat. Apparently this location has free wine tastings though!
