History

Established in 2009.

Assurance Pet and Home Sitters, LLC began its operations in January of 2009. Although the company itself is quite young, its members have many years of experience in pet and home sitting services. APHS was formed in order to bring the same reliable, experienced, and trustworthy service provided to friends and family for many years, to the greater Birmingham pet owning community. Our core missions are to provide professional and attentive care to our pet clients, and assurance and peace of mind for their owners, allowing them to relax and not to worry about the care of their pets while they are away. We offer this same professional home care to our home sitting clients as well.

APHS is a privately owned company started by life-​long friends who discovered along life’s journey their passion for pets, pet care, and the personal joys gained from providing superior customer experiences to pets and their owners.

Meet the Business Owner

Shawn F.

Business Owner

Shawn began his life as a pet sitter several years ago when he was asked by co-​workers if he could stay with their two dogs and cat while they went away on vacation. He enjoyed that so much that he began pet sitting for other friends and some family members. Since that first night, he has gained much wisdom from the cats, dogs, rabbits, ferrets, and parrots along the way.

Over the years he has lived with a couple of Tabby cats, a couple of Siamese cats, a guinea pig, a sweet Heinz 57 named Lady, an Australian Sheppard, another Shih Tzu and a Collie.
