It’s not a destination but it’s a worthwhile diversion if you happen to be in Binghamton and can get in on the cheap(for example, if you have a reciprocal membership at another science center). It’s definitely more of a general museum than a «science center», at least at the time we went. One of the major exhibits was closed for renovation, so we were left with the large model train exhibit(which is very cool), the planetarium, the old house, and some misc very small science-related exhibits. We were there for a total of probably 3 hours but that was including 2 planetarium shows. The shows are good, and conducted by a nice knowledgeable gentleman who can tell you anything you want to know about astronomy and the local area stargazing.

Place rating: 4 Ithaca, NY
We got there too late to see the planetarium — with Civil War exhibit and the annexed old mansion, the place felt more like a history museum than a science museum. But all in all, interesting and worth a quick stop with a free admission with membership card of Ithaca’s Sciencenter.
