Favorite Italian restaurant in the area! Huge menu with a wide array of choices. Can be pretty crowded at times and they don’t take reservations so call ahead to check the wait time. Food is worth the wait, especially the chicken Francese

First the waitress Jen was fantastic… Traveling through to Geneva and looked up and alas the #1 restaurant in area. Well I am pretty picky but this place had it all for the tri state area Italian foodie. The food as my son said was the best Alfredo he ever had. I had eggplant rollitini which was pretty good. The sauce was good not the best but good for up here in the proverbial boonies. You will enjoy your meal guaranteed and that’s all I can ask for. Thanks Jen

I can’t say anything bad about there food, but we had a Bday party with 13 coming tried to make reservations. They won’t take a reservation for less than 8, but won’t go higher than 10 people… So we moved the party to Tony’s… who gladly accepted the party.

Visiting from Chicago. Offered a variety of meat, fish, and pasta dishes. Huge portions. Casual, friendly service. Owner came out to greet our group and thank us. Felt sincere and we appreciated it. Michelangelo’s is the type of restaurant where you go to eat your food, not snap pictures of it. An old fashioned gem!

Hands down the best restaurant in town! Great selection for take out or dine in. The pizza is perfect, thin crust, great sauce to cheese ratio and just under 12 bucks including tax for a large 8 slice. For take out the steak special is really good, the antipasto is probably the best I’ve had, the wings are good but I’d order them well done. For dine in the chicken saltimbocca might be the best thing I’ve eaten, the braciole is amazing, and the chicken parm is MASSIVE!!! Pricing is on par and the service is always good, doesn’t seem to be a lot of turnover in the wait staff. Always full and happy leaving this place, highly recommended!!!

Garlic knots are the best in the area. Hands down. Bar none. Pizza sauce is sweet. A nice change. Highly recommend.

My favorite neighborhood place. The food is so good and the portions are HUGE. Great value as you almost always have lunch and /or dinner for another day of the week. I visit here about 3 times a month and am never disappointed. They do get very busy by 6:00pm so you should plan ahead since they only take reservations for parties of 8 or more. A few of my favorites: white garlic pizza, penne alarm vodka, spaghetti and meatballs. A must try…

Had lunch at Michaelangelo’ today with three of my favorite co-workers. The food was awesome! Everyone was happy with their choices. I had soft-shell crab that was outstanding. However, the fried Haddock looked so good that I returned after work and got the dinner to take home to surprise my husband. He loved it. Haddock is one of his favorites! I would also like to mention that their French fries are fantastic! Well seasoned, crispy and not greasy. You also cannot leave Michaelangelos without trying their garlic knots! Yummy!!! The buffalo chicken sandwich also got rave reviews, in fact, the nurse who had this said«I’m going to have to start eating here everyday!!» Now as far as pizza goes, theirs cannot be beat. My personal favorite is white pizza with spinach and garlic, yummy! However, all their pizzas are fabulous as are their Strombolis and I can’t forget to mention the eggplant rollatini. On a healthy note, they make the best Caeser’s salad with grilled chicken. You will need a doggy bag since it is huge! On a final note, the wait staff at Michaelangelo’s must be applauded for their hard work and courteous care of all their patrons. You guys are the best!

Don’t understand the raves. Mediocre pizza at best. Very outdated décor doesn’t help.

I’m not a food critic, and I only ate here a few times. I have no complaints. The chicken parm is good, pasta is good, and so is the pizza(especially the white garlic). Also, the staff has always been friendly. Keep up the fine job!

I like a place that knows what it is and doesn’t try to distract away from the food. Michaelangelo’s is that place. It took a while to go there because it doesn’t look like much from the outside and its not in a particularly«trendy» part of town. Looks, however, are often deceiving. Once I had their food, there was no going back. Michaelangelo’s is about as solid as Italian food gets in Binghamton. Their pizza is good, their Garlic Knots are better, and their fettuccine alfredo is out of this world good! I mean, it might be the best I’ve ever had kinda good. And the portions… lets just say I’ve always had leftovers. The service is usually between acceptable and great. It’s never been bad. The place is often packed, but I’ve never had to wait too long. Its the right amount of people for an Italian place. Now, some of the non-Italian items I have ordered(I’m looking at you chicken wings!) have been pedestrian at best. But who goes to an Italian restaurant and gets wings? I know — my bad. There are the places you go for a night out on the town with your friends, the places you go out with your buddies, and the places you go to really«eat», Although it it clearly the latter of these, it can be all three as well. Definitely worth it.

Visited late Friday night– 45 min before closing. Staff were pleasant. Waitress good. Who was I to order steak at an average Italian Restaurant? Despite my daughter’s advice on that, I asked the waitress about the«Black and Blue» steak. We chuckled together about her response, «We haven’t had complaints about it.» It was probably the worst cut of meat I’ve had in years, but shame on me for taking that shot. I just was in the mood for a good steak. My daughter got the Chicken Marsala. Both of those dishes were strangely sweet. The chef probably has a sweet tooth. The only ‘normal’ Italian tasting dish was the Eggplant Rollatini. Pretty good. I did enjoy the fresh Caesar Salad and side dish of ziti. So — lesson learned. Stick with Italian at Italian. I WOULD go back with confidence to get a good Italian dish. I will just simply avoid steak.

My only complaint is they won’t take reservations for anything less than eight people. Its such a busy place because the food is so good but sometimes you don’t want to wait a half hr or more and the waiting area is very small.

Excellent! Garlic knots — very good size, crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. Meatball Parm Sub — huge meatballs! A little dense but excellent flavor. Perfect bread to ball ratio. Calzone — big and cheesy. All in all very good. Will definitely go back!

Easily the best vodka sauce in the area. I’ve never been a huge fan of their pizza the dough is never cooked long enough for my standard. But on the contrary people love their pizza and love it. I prefer the Italian dishes they are always fresh and homemade. Atmosphere is a little bit dated cheesey plastic dusty flowers ugly carpet in the dining room but it gets the job done. Overall great place for penne Ala vodka try it!

Michelangelo’s is fairly well known for their pizza, and for good reason. It’s definitely one of my favorites. My latest order the crust was a little more done than I’d like, but other than that it’s always been spot on. The wings here are also good. I’d prefer the wings were a little more crispy, and I also wish they were a dozen as opposed to an order of 10, but it is what it is. You can get a large pie with 1 topping and an order of wings for just over $ 20, so it’s not terribly expensive for the quality. So what you’re missing in the wings, you kinda make up for with the pizza. We always end up with leftovers. We have also got the antipasto salad and that’s always delicious, although I guess how do you mess that up? Regardless, highly recommended. The one thing I wish they could change is the take-out area. There always seems to be a back-up there, and the poor wait staff has to navigate through the crowd. I’ve also had people(either knowingly or not) cut ahead of me in line. Definitely not the end of the world, and if that’s the biggest complaint I think it says something.

We moved to town a couple of months ago and there is a reason people say«Oh, you live near Michaelangelo’s!» We ate here three times in the first week we lived here: pizza, cheese steaks, and chicken parm sandwiches. All delicious! This is the type of pizza and cheesesteak that I grew up with in Jersey, and have missed since I lived out West for 14 years. I actually prefer the 3⁄8 inch fries that come with their sandwiches. The first pizza we ordered, the white garlic, was under twelve dollars. I was sure they had made a mistake — but no, it was a giant and delicious pizza for TWELVEDOLLARS. It will take about half an hour for your food, and I would not recommend the italian cold cut sub there. The deli meat is not the best quality. But their hot subs and pizzas are great.

Last few visits here seem to have been less than stellar. Can’t really give it 5 or 4 stars anymore. One of my favorite things was their french fries and for some unknown reason they changed their fries to standard larger cut fries(not steak but not string) and they are just average. For what it is worth the service has been faster though but that doesn’t make up for the drop in food quality or the loss of their fantastic fries.

Great pizza and garlic knots but everything else is fairly average. Be warned that nothing here is homemade. That’s why you will find that most of the food is fairly average. The prices reflect this which makes it a reasonable stop for dinner. The garlic knots will have you coming back for more even if your entrée is not memorable. Service has always been good here and have no complaints in that regard. Overall, I think that they should step it up and make a few homemade«specialty» dishes in order to shine against the other great italian restaurants in the area.
