The two stars are for the customer service from the woman who was behind the counter only. Perhaps she is the proprietor of this location? She was great since she remade my latte that tasted off. However, when she made another one, I realized that it is just all Biggby lattes are off. First, the small is 16 ounces and has only two shots of espresso. Typically, most coffee shops have two for 12 ounce cups, so this is one reason it tasted off to me. Second, the milk was simply steamed with not even a whisper of foam. I get this isn’t a gourmet café, but if you are using an espresso machine and steamer, shouldn’t you know how to use it? I actually just wanted to jump behind the counter and make the drink myself. At least then I could have seen why the latte was so diluted — the beans, the grind, the pulling time? Again, my guess is that Biggby is fine if you want to hide the taste of milk and espresso with sugary syrups and whipped cream since this is probably where it excels, but if you want anything else, pass.
