Yellowstone Cellars & Winery

Beautiful day and great hosts! We decided to enjoy some of their cheese and crackers along with a glass of wine after tasting. So fun seeing the grapes ferment, the labeling process and talking with Clint. Great Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc! We shipped some home to CA! This is a great place to visit if you are in town!

I was really disappointed tonight. I started going here when I belonged to Newcomer’s Club. The service was great at the beginning but went down hill shortly afterwards. Clint, the owner, never acknowledged us until we were leaving at that was after I had to go to the counter go get the bill. When we started going there he talked to us and made us feel at home, now I know he doesn’t need to do that anymore. I had to go up also to get another bottle of wine. Really the thing that is interesting is that the wine grapes aren’t grown here who are they fooling? Also I felt the wait staff was more concentrated on waiting on the family members of the entertainment we had tonight. Sorry to say we won’t be there again in quite a while. I guess the problem is I lived in Sacramento, CA for 24 years — not far from the wine in multiple areas of CA. Who are they fooling in Billings?

Clint and his team are just great people. Passionate about wine, friendly and down to earth. I googled Top Things To Do In Billings and Yellowstone Cellars came up. I asked the Billings locals about it and they did not know. So I was appointed the explorer and loved it. The wine tasting was fun, the tour of the process was fun and the prices are reasonable. The music was festive and I’ll recommend this place and strive to return if ever in Billings

Wine, ambiance, service — all EXCELLENT. Definitely worth the stop to sip good wines made with passion and care.

This place is AMAZiNg! Being from California I have had my share of wineries and I just love the small feel for it the wines are great! They get there grapes from Washington. Clint is so friendly and the whole staff as well.

My mother and I stopped in after a long drive and it was the most delightful stop we made in a week-​long trip. Immediately the owner and his whole family greeted us, chatted with us, and even helped to plan the rest of our trip. The Syrah was incredible, and I bought a bottle of Malbec to take home, which was fantastic. This is a MUST-​STOP for anyone in or traveling to Billings.

I visited here, from LA, while visiting my mother who lives in Billings. It was a lovely summer night and we had a pleasant place to sit on the patio. A flight of five wines was $ 5, which then allows you to determine which wine to drink, for a very economical $ 5. The wines are fantastic. We met Clint, who explained he imports his grapes from the Yakima Valley in WA and produces his wine here in Billings. His Syrah is special, but I really liked the Malbec, which I bought to take back home in my suitcase. There was live entertainment to keep us happy on a Saturday night, and we were encouraged to help ourselves to cheese and salami in the fridge to take the edge off. I will definitely come back on my next trip!

We just wanted a place to have a glass of wine and re-​group, plan our trip. We werent even there a second when Clint, the delightful owner, introduced himself to us. Next thing you knew, we were part of the family. We spent a wonderful couple hours there getting to know him and his daughter Sarah. They gave us GREAT vacation advise, let us watch them bottle the wine, showed us the cellar. The wine was fantastic and the company was even better! They were the friendliest people on earth. This was definitely a highlight for us weary travellers!

Quite simple, go here, meet Clint (the owner/​wine maker) and buy a ton of wine, you will be happy!!!
