BEST WESTERN PLUS Kelly Inn & Suites

Based on the reviews, I was expecting a better place. I’ve never stayed at a Best Western before, but took the chance on this one. It’s old, outdated and dreary. I gave it three stars, because the staff was all very nice and friendly.

We love this hotel, and were so sad to only stay one night! My kids adored the pool, which was more like a water park. The breakfast was pretty good for a hotel continental breakfast, the beds were comfortable enough, there was a great whirlpool in our room which unfortunately I didn’t get to use (although I did pop into the whirlpool downstairs at the pool, it was nice and hot, a rarity in a pool area where children play). The staff was very friendly, the décor perked up our crabby little travelers, and the room was quite clean when we arrived. We will definitely stay There again!

Traveled from Spokane Washington to Billings, got in late and was going to stay at the Motel 6
because we have a dog, till I read the reviews on Unilocal.
As it was late there was only a mini suite available, however, the room was wonderful, very clean with a Jacuzzi tub, great TV and free HBO.
The bed was very comfortable with high quality sheets and pillows.
Also the layout of the room was very comfortable after a very long travel day.
There is also a menu that you can order from instead of eating at one of the fast food places down the road.
The continental breakfast in the morning was excellent hot eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy along with the usual fare.
Yes I paid $ 160 for the night compared to $ 70 but it was well worth the high quality and comfort. j

What a fantastic hotel. We were happy they had a room for us at the last minute when we had to change our plans. The pool area is great for kids. If you are looking for a relaxing soak in the hot tub, this is not the place. But it was fun watching how excited the kids were. The room was very comfortable and clean. They had a business center. The free breakfast was wonderful. Highly recommended.

I had stayed in a hotel owned by the same company (the actual owners, not just another Best Western) in Fargo and while it was acceptable, it wasn’t great. When I saw that I had booked with the same people again, I didn’t have the highest of hopes. This hotel was a very pleasant surprise.
While the hotel is a bit dated, it wasn’t at all run-​down. Everything was in good shape and clean. Everything seemed to work well. The front desk staff was a bit awkward, but it was out of a genuine interest to be friendly. This, like the one in Fargo, is definitely more focused on vacationing families, so I’m sure it can get a bit loud, especially on weekends. However, I don’t think that would be a huge problem in this decently built hotel.
I’ve been trying to stay at Best Western hotels more to get better rewards and to have some idea what I’m going to get. It’s worked out pretty well overall on this trip and this is no exception. I would gladly stay here again if I were to come back to Billings. While it isn’t a five-​star hotel, it is a very strong four-​star.

Very Nice Pet Friendly Hotel !! The Room was very clean, the beds were comfortable, pillows… so soft and an abundance of them. The continental breakfast is one of the better ones out of all the hotels I have stayed at. They actually keep the bacon coming ! Large Variety of choices at Breakfast ! We got a King size bed and a pull out couch for the kids, that was all that was left and we called early the morning of. The Pull out couch for the kids was a bit small but they did ok. I would highly recommend calling early in Billings, the town always fills up fast due to conventions and so on and so far this is the only hotel I would stay at in Billings ! I am a fan ! They also don’t charge extra for your pooch ! which is highly rare !

I was very happy to stay here very clean and pet friendly. The rooms was clean bed was comfy. I. Really like the bear décor they have going on. The only issue I had was their breakfast wasn’t very good seem like I was eating left over. But other then that we will stay again.

Friendly desk clerk. Live the little bear cubs climbing up the outside. Room décor is great!!! Comfortable bed. Pillows could be better. Waterpark is great but noisy. So much so that it throughout the hotel. Free breakfast. Great location. Will stay here if in area again. Thank you for the quick reservation when the other BW at Yellowstone let me down. Glad I came here instead. Very nice and restful stay.

We have stayed multiple times over the last 4 years, my son even has a nickname for this hotel, he calls it the «Three Bears». Every time we have stayed there the staff has been accommodating, the rooms have been cleaned with care and everything went off without a hitch. This time, things were very different. On our 2^nd to last day, our son crawled under the bed to get his toy airplane he had dropped. When he emerged he had multiple bites on his face, arm & torso. They began to swell and I promptly put him in the bathtub to rinse it off. I covered the bites with baking soda and called the front desk. They offered to immediately put us into another room on the 3^rd floor as we were staying on the first. At this point I inquired if we had been placed in a pet friendly room, which we were unaware of. She said that we had been. The room we had stayed in all week was quite a bit lower quality than the ones on the 2^nd & 3^rd floor we had reserved previously. The beds were lumpy (both adults had backaches by the 3^rd night) & the rooms much smaller though they are billed for the same price. Quickly packing up 6 days worth of belongings, we headed up to the 3^rd floor with an upset & itchy child. The General Manager decided this was a good time to talk to me about it while in the hallway attempting to get my kiddo in. She let me know that she has people with allergies in her family and that it is my job to make sure it is pet-​free when I’m booking. I explained we had booked last minute for a memorial service of a dear family member. She remained unphased. She did not apologize, seem concerned or show any remorse for our situation. To be honest, it was bizarre. My husband also went to speak with her and showed her the pictures of red marks all over our son. She never offered to discount our room, checked in on us or followed up on it. My husband also made her aware that a janitor had thrown chemicals into the pool while we were swimming in it with no warning. I quickly got my son out as I had no idea what it was. She explained that they were allowed to do that otherwise they would have to close the pool for an hour. Comforting. We will no longer be using this hotel and will tell our family & friends who frequently visit Billings to not do so either. Also, as we left we saw that they had completely pulled apart the room, mattresses, linens, etc. Not sure if they found the culprit or not, but I will never go there again to find out.

Wow! This is by far the nicest BW I’ve ever visited. It is really, truly dog friendly. The front desk staff was quick, extremely pleasant — and appeared to enjoy what they were doing! They even offer fresh baked cookies to their guests. My room had an inside and outside door — allowing me to park right outside my room and walk the dog without traipsing through the lobby. Now the real bonus — the room was very nice. Clean, lights everywhere, great AC (even placed a vent on the unit to direct the air into the room rather than behind the curtains). The linens and furnishings were very well maintained and as nice (maybe better!) than any Marriott I’ve stayed in. If you are ever doing the long drive through Montana — or, visiting Yellowstone, stay here. You won’t regret it.

If you are spending the night in Billings, this is where you want to spend it. Great staff, snacks, decent breakfast, handy location. This is the ONLY place I stay in Billings because it is also clean, great décor, and has airport shuttle service. Why would you need to look around?

I love this motel and the employees! I stayed at the BW Kelly Inn back in 2009. My apartment was getting ready for me to move into, so I decided I’d stay at Best Western.
I walked in around 1PM and I was told that check-​in time was at 3. Since I took a taxi there, I really didn’t have anywhere to go with luggage. Thankfully the front desk clerk sent a maid to the room that I had reserved. They cleaned it quickly, and they were ready to check me in. For some reason they had complications running my card. They called some people, I called my bank, and finally after a half hour the problem was solved. Because of the problems at check-​in they gave a me handsome discount.
I was very impressed and surprised. The front desk employees and the maids went above and beyond to accommodate me.
The room was spacious and clean. The décor was charming and «log cabinish». The beds were crazy comfortable and the pillow and pillowcases didn’t smell. The bathrooms were squeaky clean and I loved the shower. Also, they have these comforters on the ends of the beds that are amazing. They’re warm, soft, and plush.
Like I said, I love this motel. I would totally recommend the BW Kelly Inn to travelers with kids.
Oh, this BW has a great little swimming pool play area for the kids. It’s free for guests! I didn’t use it, but it looked fun!

Comfortable rooms, and very friendly staff. Breakfast with eggs and pancakes, with fresh coffee most of the day. Fairly fast free wifi all over the hotel.
