Agave Towing & Recovery

Speeding truck flying down central almost hitting my 8 months pregnant friend and then their dispatch hung up on her. What a piece of garbage company. DONT use them.

I have used Agave a few times through AAA and I have been noting but pleased. They are always very prompt to get to me. Duane and Adam have always been very helpful. They have helped me when I locked my keys in the truck running; couldnt get the car out of the driveway; had a dead battery and had a tire blow out. I would recommend them to friends, family, employees, clients, etc. They are awesome. Maybe someone else had a bad experience, but I was very pleased!

I got a chance to use Agave Towing services earlier this month since my car broke down in the middle of nowhere in Montana while moving across the country from the midwest to Oregon. Luckily, our AAA agent suggested Agave for towing. I worked with Mr. Duane, the co-​owner of this company. He was my life saver! He agreed to tow my car from MT all the way to OR, with very reasonable rate even though he could have ripped me off easily. My cousin and I ended up riding with him in his tow truck for two days. He was very professional and kind the whole time. I have nothing to say more than just a simple appreciation, his professionalism, and his honesty for his clients.

This is the most unprofessional business I have ever dealt with in my entire life. I had an awesome experience when they did my lockout service, but then things turned into a nightmare. I had cash to pay the driver, but he didn’t carry any change (not even the $ 5 I would’ve needed); also wouldn’t accept a check. Therefore, I had to pay with my credit card, which I wasn’t comfortable doing anyway. Fast forward a few days, and I find a suspicious charge on my card for a business name I had NEVER DEALT WITH (showed up as maximuma). Called my bank and filed a fraud claim. A few days later, I received a phone call at 6:25 AM (seriously?) from the business owner basically accusing me of attempting to defraud him. I explained the situation (that he used a completely different business name to charge my account); he acted like he kind of understood, but only slightly. I informed him that I would submit the paperwork to the bank to get it straightened out. Fast forward 10 days to Saturday (I’d already submitted the appropriate paperwork), and I get a TEXT MESSAGE (I never authorized him to contact me via text) saying if I didn’t call the bank that day to authorize a charge for the original charge plus the fee, he would send it to collections on Monday. I called my bank on Monday to ensure they’d received everything required, and they confirmed that they had; they offered to expedite closing the case so the funds could be released sooner. Tuesday afternoon, business owner (Mick) called me again to demand I authorize him to charge my card for service cost plus fees or he would send it to collections; informed him that everything was done on my side with the bank to get the funds released. Told him that his behavior was extremely unprofessional and that he should let customers know that he uses a different business name to charge cards; in keeping with his unprofessionalism, he interrupted me and said that maybe I should get a check register to track my charges and then HUNG UP ON ME. As a business owner myself, I would NEVER treat my customers the way I have been treated. This was all due to the business not informing customers of its charging practices which led to an honest mix-​up happening. This could happen to literally anyone. I am filing complaints with every entity I can find, and also will be bringing it to the attention of the Secretary of State that this business is operating under a business name that was involuntarily dissolved as of 12/​03/​2012. Would give zero stars if I could.
