This review is specifically for their coin-operated showers, which are located on the other side of the building, facing the motel. They actually require tokens, not coins, and you get the tokens and the door key from the counter in the gas station. The showers seem to give you an honest 10 minutes of water for your token. However, when I visited the place needed attention, such as cleaning, restocking the toilet paper, etc. I mention this because I informed them after one shower, then when I came back again the next day nothing had changed. Be aware that when your time runs out, it doesn’t just shut off the hot water, it shuts off ALL the water! So don’t push your luck and end up covered in soap. I had all my own stuff so I don’t know if they can provide towels, soap, etc. Also, their little store does have an amazing array of stuff packed into it. :)

Great place to pick up your fishing license on the way up to the June Lake loop! The folks here are really great! They have beer, wine and spirits. They also have a nice varieties of things one might need for fishing or even hardware and small projects. Loads of food and snacks to chose from.

Great little store. I bought some groceries and local honey. The lady who rung us up was very friendly and kind, like everyone we ran into at Big Pine! There is also a big, fluffy, lovey dovey blonde lab in there who is adorable! Located at the intersection of 395& Crocker, which is where you want to turn to get to the glacier area campgrounds. Crocker turns into the road that leads up to the Big Pine Creek campgrounds and the trailhead to the 7 lakes. Did I mention it is absolutely breathtakingly beautiful up here? Miss it already!

When you think«build» what’s the next thing you think? Alcohol! Am I right? Well, even if I’m not, and the next thing you think is hot dogs, lotto tickets, or coin operated shower, the super handy and friendly Bristlecone Hi-Country Market will surely have it in stock. Let me just list some of the incredible supplies they carry: –Diet peach juice(YES diet juice, and it’s pretty good) –Those canned alcoholic cocktails with the alcohol mixed in already(all flavors!) –Diet gingerale(this is so effing hard to find) –Diet rootbeer, diet cream soda, and diet orange soda –Popcorn –Fresh pinenuts(I didn’t even know this was a thing. It is.) Okay, back to building. The hardware section is really nice and full up and is basically an entire separate store. They don’t have lumber, it’s not that big, but hammers, nails, wrenches, and they even make keys here. They also do copies and faxes and you can get your fishing license while you’re at it. Make sure to let Sofie sniff you! She likes some and not others. If she likes you, give her a good, long ear scratching. She will love you for it! She’s a yellow lab/golden retriever, btw. Sophie’s human folk are also pretty cool, retrieving some Nutty Buddies or something for a confused customer. Oh, right… and one more thing… the bathroom is SOSOSO nice. They have paper towels, everything is fully stocked, no offensive smells, and very clean. I am pretty confident in saying this is probably the best liquor/hardware store I’ve ever been to.
