This gas station has the nicest gas station bathroom I have ever seen. The world needs to know this.

I always stop here on the way and returning from visiting Yosemite. Easy access and egress to the road, gas is priced high but what’s ya gunna do? The restrooms are clean and there is a shady spot just to the west where one can park their awesome Harley and prepare for the trip ahead.

I have a mixed feeling about this place. Although it’s at the convenient location, and I’m thinking they are banking lots of money selling usual stuff at much higher prices to loads of visitors, it doesn’t enlighten the whole experience of trip to/from Yosemite at all. We interacted with two service staff since we had to wait there till our car is towed, and the first lady was nice and friendly, the second lady was so grumpy and b itchy — she doesn’t really care at all if you are one of those visitors dropping loads of cash to support her living. The second lady we interacted was cold and confrontational, and we were quite offended by her.(to give clue, this lady worked on Sat late afternoon.) There are tons of people stopping by this place to get gas /buy soda /pee. The bathroom is unkept and they don’t even have a synthetic oil(critical for recently made cars). They should really understand that places like this can exist based on visitors from all over the world(yes, world). Giving the visitors the good impression of the store is crucial to stay on top of just being the really-need-to-go status. Yup, they don’t have any competition on this particular area of 120, but if you look the whole trip to yosemite experience, this place definitely takes points away. SO you are essentially competing against Lake Tahoe, Yellowstone, etc. They should consider appreciating and welcoming visitors stopping by dropping cash into this hillbilly town — that’s the part of the job, and building the better impression in the holistic Yosemite trip. I’m only gonna stop here next time when I really have to take a dump or something. If I had a hybrid with a restroom, I’d be definitely passing . Also, you won’t believe how many people are coming here with their tricked-out trucks with really annoying rap bass blasting the entire village. Kinda ghetto, if you ask me.

This is probably the closest gas station outside of Yosemite on the west side. The prices are reasonable… The 16 oz. sodas are $ 0.99…They take credit cards… The gas pump works… That’s pretty much all I expect from a gas station.

Claim Jumper Outpost is no ordinary gas station/convenience store, it is THEE gas station/convenience store to go to off of hwy 120 before entering Groveland, towards Yosemite. The gas was the cheapest in the area, the pumps actually worked, and the 44 oz. sodas are only 89 cents. Too much good stuff? Perhaps. I purchased enough non-essential junk to feed this bear for under $ 10. The lighters are shaped like hand guns, the jerky come in an array of sizes and flavors, and the service and facility was not too shabby.
