Robinhood Resort

They are always so good to us when we are here. It’s become a favorite of ours. We have tried others but we always come back here. They treat us like welcomed family no matter how long its been. Ahhh so happy! Thank you Peter and all of the crew!

well first off the stay wasn’t a disney happy experience full of song and dance … but it was full of adventure.
When we checked we were told that the room was being renovated… so we waited and came back later. when we got back to the hotel it was around 90 degrees outside and all the windows were closed in the room so yah miserably hot inside. Only to find that there is no air conditioning. ??? I get it, it’s in the mountains but really? But what happens to a room that’s closed up with new carpet and paint and calking … extreme chemical odors. Then we opened the whole place up … all night to keep cool … the celing fan worked only on low. The tv didn’t work no service and not only our room. All in all not a good time. We explained the experience to the manager and he immediately returned our money. No problem. So that is why i gave them a 3 star rating.

This is in a great location as it is the beginning of Big Bear village where all the restaurants and shops are and I swim in Big Bear Lake which is a football field away. The gentleman checking me in was very nice and I stayed in room 27 which is a suite. This is a very modern room with a kitchen fireplace flat screen TV and a very nice bathroom. Plenty of parking in the front and back.

Stayed here got my birthday! We had a great room with a big, jetted tub in the Sherwood Forest building of the Robinhood Resort. The staff was helpful and attentive when we needed them.
We had several meals at their onsite restaurant, Nottingham’s and they were all delicious, reasonably priced and led us to always want to go back for another meal.
Will definitely be staying here again!

Nice place, good little breakfast snack w coffee or tea for the pre game morning hike… Went to chads place had a couple drinks/​played some pool (right across the street). In the morning went to the discovery center got a gold rush fever map n off road trip to follow the map.
When we got home realized forgot pics from chads place (machine that prints out 3) called Robin Hood inn

My wife and I just made a spur of the moment trip to Big Bear and stopped in to see the rates. The young lady at the desk (I’m sorry I don’t remember her name), was so courteous and helpful. The location was awesome! It was right on the corner of the village walk and easy access to everything. The rooms are a little oldish, but met our needs for an overnight stop and will definitely stay here again.

I have read a lot of really good reviews on this I’m going to say motel. I think the two front buildings must be ten times better than the back 70s building do not stay if they send you back there, the walls are paper thin could hear a whisper from next door and walking upstairs was insane. The beds and décor was dirty 70s with exception of flat screen tv checked every inch for bugs it’s that kind of place. Location is great only moved car for skiing. Some service was great but one older desk man couldn’t care less about 6:30 trash truck after staying up all night from listening to other rooms partying until 3ish. So I’m guessing building across street must be worlds different because the only good thing we had was location. Go elsewhere if they send you to the back places.

We stayed here for valentines weekend. I made the reservations last minute (on the same day we checked in) and honestly was blown away. Good rooms. Great service. Just all the way around really made the vacation.

Stayed here a few weeks ago for a short vacation. We were very excited on our way up to big bear and I was pleasantly surprised when we got to this hotel and walked into the lobby you could smell that comforting smell of a wood burning fire place It’s a nice change considering SoCal barely gets a winter anymore and this was just a real warm welcome. Front desk people were nice and helpful. The room was a little on the older side but it had personality and a fireplace so I don’t have any complaintsWe purchased wood at the front desk for convenience. The hotel was just at the bottom of the street where «The Village» is located. At the village there are a bunch of little shops and restaurants to explore as well as a gas station and a small movie theatre. The hotel is also across the street from part of the lake and a small park if you’re interested in just taking a walk and enjoying the view. Overall, we had an awesome time and enjoyed our stay. We will definitely be back.

Well I got scabies or some other serious skin infection here… I wasn’t going to write a review but when I called today to see if anyone else had called in to try to help my doctors give me the right medications, the guy at the counter didn’t once ask me how I was doing, he didn’t once say ‘I hope you feel better’, he didn’t once actually care about me – all he did was try to protect his ass. Again my call wasn’t intended to be threatening or confrontational, but the truth is I did end up getting a terrible skin infection after my stay here, probably because the sheets weren’t washed, and you wouldn’t be reading about this if the guy who answered the phone had exhibited some degree of human decency…

We stay here EVERY year for our anniversary. The staff is very accommodating and friendly. My favorite place to stay in Big Bear!

Ok, let me first start off by saying that the service is superb. From calling in to book a room to the check in process, I had nothing but friendly service. ⁵⁄₅ stars!
Now, as for the room… We had the standard room with a fireplace (which we didn’t even use). The room was pretty bad. I’m not going to lie. I knew it wasn’t going to be amazing because of the pictures on their website and on Unilocal,but I honestly didn’t think it would be this terrible. I try pretty hard not to ever write a negative Unilocal review because I know every experience is situational, but i truly feel like people should be warned and know what they are spending their money on in this case.
The blankets and sheets felt dirty. In fact, I brought my own comforter and blankets — THANK GOD! (Oh, and for some reason our pillow cases didn’t even match each other.)
The carpet was nasty! It was this gross green color with lots of stains from God knows what.
The shower was also pretty awful. The curtain had seen better days and the water pressure was weird and inconsistent!!! The towels are thin and frayed. Seriously? Can you invest in new towels?! They really need to make a trip to Bed, Bath, and Beyond for new towels and bedding haha
And lastly, walls were so thin. I promise you I’m not exaggerating. I could literally hear our neighbors conversations.
I will say, the location is perfect. We were walking distance from everywhere we wanted to be. Close to lots of lunch places and very close to the lake. That was one of the best things about Robinhood Resort!
If you don’t plan on spending much time in your room at all, or don’t necessarily care about having a clean room then this is the place for you! Otherwise, you might want to pay a little extra for a different hotel.

The cabin was very nice inside. One thing that really ticked me off, was everything was so loud people walking down the hall. Kids yelling and running around. Out of a whole weekend I prolly got 7 hours of sleep. Lovely place just everything’s super loud and hard to

We stayed here after Christmas and the whole town was a madhouse! My fiancé booked last minute to surprise me after the proposal and they were able to accommodate him, though it was quite pricey. The location is great — easy to walk to dinner, shops, and the bar so we didn’t have to drive.
The room was a bit outdated, but spacious enough and clean with a large jacuzzi tub. The heat source is from the fireplace, which made it very cozy.
The best part about our stay was after we left. I forgot my fiancé’s new jacket at the hotel and called late that night. The girl at the desk didn’t see it in the lost and found, and she braved the 15 degree weather to go look on the maid’s cart that was in another building. She was able to locate it and it was sent priority mail the next day — free of charge. Very kind staff, we would stay there again.

Ok so I give them a ⁴⁄₅ only because of the late check in… other than that everything else is awesome! We got a basic room which is perfect for two !!
We will definitely be staying here again bc it is located in the most perfect location we have walked everywhere it’s so close and the room is clean and new!

I really enjoyed the attention I received and the suggestions for breakfast by our waiter.
He was very attentive and the food was all to our liking.
If I ever go back to Big Bear again this Would definitely be a must for me!
I like the cozy feel of the restaurant but very Clean and bathroom was very well kept as well!

Clean, good parking, great location. That’s it. Dated rooms, fireplaces cannot be used and the walls are thin. If you want to rest and sleep at night, this may not be the place for you. Really disappointed in the experience. It was an overpriced Motel 6 with a kitchenette and bigger space

This place is sort of a dump. One step above a Motel 6. We came here for a last minute trip and I regret not staying at an AirBNB since the walls are so thin and you can hear everything people around you are doing. This place needs a lot of work, especially since none of the electrical outlets in our suite were in working order and some of the plugs were just hanging from the wall. Seems dangerous? When I called the front desk to let them know about the noise and outlet, was merely disconnected.
Don’t stay here unless you’re Amish and don’t need plugs. 2 star given since they let us check in early.

Shot a wedding over the weekend and we decided to stay in big bear. I chose this place because of the great rates. It’s not the Marriott but it has all the essential things that you need. Fridge, microwave included. If you’re down to earth and not too high maintenance then this is the place for you.

Checked into the resort on 1÷1÷15 for a one night stay because my friends and I wanted to make a mini trip to ring in the new year.
We called the place before we arrived because we were scheduled to arrive after 9pm and just wanted to be reassured that our room wasn’t going to be given away.
We arrived around 10 or 11pm and the man working at the front desk (I can’t seem to remember his name) was so kind and cheerful. He was very welcoming and answered all our questions without hesitation. We asked if there were any two bedroom rooms available since two of my friends wanted to join my boyfriend and I last minute, but unfortunately they were all booked.
We rented a deluxe spa room for $ 208. It was small (not too small, but what I expected) and clean. Most places were sold out since we looked for places so last minute, but for a last minute place, I was content. The room had a king sized bed, sofa bed, fire place, and spa/​jacuzzi tub type thing.
The room could get pretty warm with the fire place on. So I don’t think it would be a good idea to leave the thing on overnight. We definitely didn’t.
But anyway, for a last minute place. This place definitely wasn’t bad. I’d say the best thing about this place would be its location. It’s near all the main attractions and places to visit. Took us about 5 minutes to drive to snow summit.
