New update that these owners have changed the name from Moose Lodge to BEAR CLAW LODGE on Airbnb and Adventurepad in order to hide from the negative reviews and associate with bedbugs:
They might currently have good reviews, on this new site and hopefully their bedbug problem has gone away, but this still doesn’t mean that they aren’t crooks. They misrepresented their house, and knowingly rented the place while it was infested with bedbugs and rats. I have spoken to several people who were also swindled by Don Orphey and Mary Power. Several families received bedbug bites and taken to the hospital. They were all promised a refund and payment of their bills, but the owners lied and never paid.
The fact that they require a check and use a P.O. Box address (to avoid lawsuits) are a few of the reasons in which you know they are not legit.
