My new kitchen by Barneybilt is incredible! I am thankful for Casey and his brother. I hired Barneybilt after I was left high and dry by another contractor and Casey was so sympathetic to that fact. He went above and beyond to assist me in our kitchen renovation. Casey was always keeping me informed of their progress, timeline, and completion times. The original estimated completion time was 2 to 3 weeks and they finished in 2 weeks. My house was left very clean everyday and they were very respectful of my home and belongings. When the fridge I ordered arrived they noticed the box was a bit banged up and they immediately sent pictures to me showing the damage so I could call Home Depot and have it replaced. They asked if they wanted me to install it or wait for the new one and I asked them to install it as is which they did.
Barneybilt did such a great job I have recommended them to another Unilocal!user and I will be using them for all my future improvements on this home. There are a lot of improvements still to be made.

Barney Built Construction has designed, engineered and built some of the more noteworthy projects in Big Bear Lake over the years (7 – 11, numerous houses of varying size and appointments, retaining walls of various complexity, custom sheds, etc). They are a family owned business serving the Big Bear Lake region for many years. We had them design/​engineer/​build us a 100′ retaining wall with footing and 2 custom sheds including underground power that have so far exceeded our expectations for fit/​finish, build and value for the project budget. They got the work done on time and on budget, adjusted the job at our request during the project, absorbed overages on the survey portion and shed foundations (stuck to their bid regardless) and continue to be invaluable consultants to us as we improve our new property in the Moonridge area of Big Bear. I can’t say enough about how pleased we were with these folks … seems everyone in town has the same experience with their dedication, quality, work ethic and commitment to delivering what was promised.
It’s all too easy — particularly for second home owners — to get a wonderful looking bid on a project only to later find that the work is being done by less skilled/​experienced, ill-​equipped folks than you had expected. It is the opposite case with Barney Built; you get the highest level experienced, skilled and equipped company on the mountain (I think they got another job one street over from me based on the quality of their equipment alone!) They are also bonded sufficiently to do Government work which is not something you will find with most contractors in Big Bear Lake. I am just glad we managed to find them. Not one corner was cut, they even added items to their bid (like paint quality and stinging the concrete) that we were not even aware of.
I would not hesitate to have them work on my property again, or refer them to others (which I have done 4 times now in the last year) … we were in excellent hands the entire time.
