Amazing, authentic tacos. Cabeza, Pastor, Asada… Their menu reads like a greatest hits of all the best stuff you can stuff in-between two perfectly toasted corn tortillas… You know the ones, with the pork grease still sizzling on the warm fluffy tortilla. Great prices, real food, friendly service… Come eat here. You’ll love it.

My boyfriend and I are in Big Bear for a mini vacation and we saw that this place had 4 stars so we thought it was a good place to go for dinner. Not only did the food taste like it came from a can but I saw them put my enchiladas in the microwave. I thought I was going to get some decent Mexican food but I was greatly mistaken. The place was small and cute but it looks like it was falling apart. I was extremely disappointed in the food and thought that this place doesn’t deserve the 4 stars that people gave this place.

Food was bland. I ordered a fish burrito and fish was raw. I not sure why this restaurant got a 4star. I don’t recommend this place.

Great food. Fast, friendly service. Stopped in around noon on New Year’s Day. Got a breakfast burrito and a chicken burrito. Both were awesome. Great seasoning on the chicken huge portions with tons of flavor. Just what we needed. Delicious.

My family and I have been going here for years because it’s close to my house. The owners are super sweet and down to earth. A+ service and REAL Mexican food, everything is fresh and made right in front of you!

Not the best mexican food I have ever had… BUT it is pretty dang good. Fermin doesn’t skimp on stuff and is a super friendly dude. I eat there probly 3 times a week on my lunch and it’s consistent and my burritos always look like a fat baby’s leg.

Had a carne asada taco and the meat was moist and tasty. Not too pricey 1.79 for the taco but if you want sour cream, guacamole or cheese it is .50 each for the additions. My friend had the Carne asada burrito and again the meat was moist and tasty. Nice hot salsa, friendly service from the owner. Overall a great place for Mexican when you are in town. The other great thing is they had«Mexican Coke»(coke made with sugar)

My husband and I visited due to the reviews. We were not pleased. The rice was bland with no flavor. Beans tasted canned. The enchiladas were smothered in a tomato based salsa it doesn’t even deserve to be called salsa. My husband ordered a carne asada torta. He said it was ok but the asada needed more flavor-seasoning. His bolillo(bread) was too soft, he would pick it up to take a bite and it would fall apart. We have two stars cause we could tell it was a family owned restaurant and a woman cooked my enchiladas on the spot. But we will not return.

Very friendly. Burrito was a glorified bean burrito(was supposed to be a chile verde) but did taste good. Probably wouldn’t recommend to someone though.

This place is great. They make the food right in front you Chipotle style. The portions are huge and the prices are low. The Al Pastor burrito I ordered was big and only cost $ 6.99 after tax. Most Mexican restaurants in Big Bear charge $ 8 or $ 9 for a burrito. So a good deal on some tasty food.

Not bad. but also not amazing Mexican food in Big Bear. We came here looking for a less trendy dinner after a day of skiing. We ordered the Menudo and a chile verde plate. The Menudo wasn’t bad but tasted better with lime. The Chilie verde was pretty good albeit maybe a tad too salty. homemade tortillas would have been a nicer touch. Prices are a tad high(in my opinion), but I guess Big Bear is a resort area.

Been here many, many times and have not been disappointed yet. Hole in the wall? Yes, but many of the best places are. We’ve usually ordered their street style tacos(carne asada and al pastor yummmmm), but their burritos are also huge and tasty! Its small and they may not speak the best of english, but they understand plenty to get you the food you want, and if you have even a basic knowledge of spanish(taco, burrito, quesadilla, cerveza, etc), you’ll be fine and its worth the possible slight language barrier

All you can eat Menudo on Sundays? What would that look like?!! Instead of the Menudo, we opted for the Cubano Tortas. Everything was in it: carnitas, carne asada, frijoles, queso, and the al pastor with little chunks of pineapple in it. The soft bread barely held it all together. It was freakishly delicious and a lovely lunch, for two.

This is a pretty good hole in the wall joint that was a stones throw from where we were staying. It was Monday when we went, so my daughter and i took advantage of their $ 1 taco special. We tried both the carnitas and al pastor. The carnitas was very well done. Super moist w/great flavor. The al pastor came topped w/pineapple and that’s always appreciated. The meat was sweet and spicy. My son got a carne asada burrito. He wasn’t enamored w/it, but his sister ate what he didn’t and said it was good, but much better when the green salsa was put on it. They don’t have a salsa bar… just some containers of two different salsas in the fridge. Standard red and green. The red is spicy, although slightly bitter. The green is very mild w/a very nice finish. The people are really nice and seem to have a good rapport w/their regulars. Other than the special, the prices are a bit high, but hey, it’s Big Bear. You usually gotta spend a little more up on the mountain, so i wouldn’t complain about it since the food is good. We’ll be back next time we’re in town.

Food was so so, maybe I have high standards for my Mexican food, I love the Los favoritos by my house but this was no Los fav. Skip the fries they really had no idea how to cook them. Their tacos were their only redeeming factor. The beef was sub par the chicken taco I would give a 3.5÷5. The adobada burrito was so so, maybe 2⁄5. Food was just wicked greasy. I would stick to the chicken tacos if i were looking for a quick Mexican fix.
