Dr. Alexander Waldman, a Harvard trained orthodontist, specializes in Invisalign, clear braces, lingual (invisible, behind the teeth) braces, children of all ages including children with special needs, TMJ problems, and specialty braces such as Damon. Our philosophy is to deliver the highest quality, most technologically advanced orthodontic treatment with a friendly and caring touch.

History

Established in 2003.

In 2003, Dr. Waldman established his Beverly Hills office with the goal of bringing the best in orthodontics to his local community. As a local parent and active community member, Dr. Waldman truly understands the needs of his patients and is constantly striving to provide them with the most comfortable, esthetic, and advanced types of braces and techniques, as well as technological advancements that simply make life easier, such as email and text message appointment reminders.

Dr. Waldman is a published author, teaches in a dental residency program, and is a leader in dental education as the co-​founder of the Multi-​Disciplinary Study Group of Beverly Hills, CA.

In July of 2014, Dr. Waldman re-​located to a new, state-​of-​the-​art orthodontic office on Wilshire.

Business Owner

Dr. Alexander Waldman completed his fellowship in orthodontics at Harvard University, where he also received his Master of Medical Science degree in the field of Oral Biology. Upon completion of his studies, Dr. Waldman was the recipient of the prestigious Dr. Joseph L. Henry Award for Overall Achievement in Clinical and Research Training and Contribution to the Harvard School of Dental Medicine.

Dr. Waldman received both his Bachelor of Arts and Doctor of Dental Medicine degrees from the University of Pennsylvania. While at the dental school, Dr. Waldman received an award from the Academy of Dentistry for Persons with Disabilities for his research at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. He also received the National Board Achievement Award, as well as the Crest Award for Dentistry for the elderly. Upon graduation from dental school, Dr. Waldman was elected into Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the National Dental Honor Society.

Dr. Waldman and his staff did a wonderful job with our daughter during her orthodontic treatment. They were fun, understanding (our daughter has special needs) and reasonable. Whenever there was a minor problem (loose wire, etc), they always made time to see her. The have a very high tech office which appeals to both kids & adults! We would recommend Waldman orthodontics to anyone.

Back in September I had my braces put on. I had what I felt was really crooked teeth and a bad cross over bite. It’s been 2 months and already I see the changes. My cross over bite is gone and my teeth are adjusting well to the braces. Dr. Waldman and team are amazing and so happy I went with there group.
BTW they were awesome and able to squeeze me in for an emergency same day appointment when my wire came out from eating something I shouldn’t have. Great to know they are really there when I need them.

I presented to Dr. Waldman with a complicated dental plan that involved a cosmetic dentist, oral surgeon and an orthodontist. This required coordinating with all of the doctors involved to figure out what to do. I just finished this 2 year dental plan and I can say with out a doubt that Dr. Waldman is professional, friendly and exceptionally knowledgable– I knew I was in good hands the minute I met him. The staff is so friendly and bend over backwards to work with your schedule. Lastly, the office is the most beautiful medical office I have ever been in. The design and architecture makes coming in a real treat. Not to mention the coffee bar! For a second time ortho patient like me, kids or anyone that needs orthodontics Dr. Waldman and staff are the folks you should choose hands down.

Dr Waldman did a wonderful job with my 16 year old son. He had a major overbite and didn’t want to extract any of his teeth like I was told by other Orthodontics. 2 years later the braces were removed with amazing results with all his teeth! Very happy with the results. Dr Waldman also put braces on my older son 5 years ago. We are very pleased with his teeth as well.

The Waldman office is super clean, friendly staff and very professional. He is very reasonable with his prices and live his personality.

I have been going to Dr Waldman since 2005 my oldest son was in 2nd grade when he started treatment after was my daughter’s treatment and finally my youngest, all three of my children have been treated by Dr Waldman for having a crossbite their service is great, his staff is wonderful and always happy to see you. I would recommend his office to anyone who needs orthodontist treatment. The office is always cIean. I can honestly say I have nothing negative to say about his office and I have seen his staff change through out many years and their are always smiling and being courteous to everyone. I am very happy with all the treatment I received from his office.

Dr. Waldman and his team are extraordinary! My son had train wreck teeth and after working with Dr. Waldman, he now has a beautiful smile! If you are looking for a quality Orthodontist who care, goes the extra mile, is truly your partner in creating a terrific smile, is available to you & takes your calls when you need him as well as creates opportunity where others see obstacles — this is where you need to go! (and they take insurance!) woo hoo!
What started as an impacted Canine tooth ended up being a great journey! Dr. Waldman does incredible work! He had a bracket placed on the impacted canine tooth before the tooth erupted from the gum! Pulled the tooth back to the proper position saving three adult teeth in the process. WOW! WOW!
He is now working on my youngest son who has Hypo-​calcified teeth and must have the utmost care taken due to the fragility of his teeth.
Dr. Waldman and his team have been wonderful to our family and we cannot be more thankful!

This is the best office I’ve ever been to, and not just compared to other orthodontist offices; out of ANY office. It’s beautiful and clean, but not sterile feeling like some medical offices can be. The people are super nice and, most importantly, genuine. None of that fakey Hollywood nice here. Dr. Waldman was thorough, professional, friendly, knowledgable, and made me excited about coming back. I didn’t feel rushed, and I wasn’t made to feel like just another appointment on the schedule. I’ll have to wait a month or two until I can afford to start treatment, but there’s no question that I’ll be doing it at Waldman Ortho. I can’t say enough about my amazing experience here.
My advice to you: stop shopping around for other orthos right this second

Dr. Waldman did my Invisalign and I am extremely happy. I had consults with 4 other orthos before choosing him. He was not the cheapest, not the most expensive; but definitely the best choice.
See — when you get Invisalign, it seems like any dentist can take your impressions and mail them off to the lab and get your aligners and voila — straight teeth. Dr. Waldman explained that for my case, he needed to make adjustments to each tray, to make sure the aligners did not tip my teeth too far backward (as Invisalign can do).
This might seem a little too much detail, but that is essentially what Dr. W is about — the details. He is a real ‘nerd for teeth’ in the best way, and it shows. His staff is attentive, kind and helpful. Appointments are quick and easy to make, and you never wait long.
One other comment — Waldman is not one of these ‘celebrity’ dentists who lists all his clients as part of his marketing. Instead, he makes all his patients feel like celebrities. The offices are like a spa, and he always seems to have contests going on with his child patients to encourage them to keep up their treatment and make it fun. I’m a grown-​up, but it’s cool to see that he does stuff like that.

Had my consultation with Dr. Alex Waldman. He epitomizes what you would expect from a business professional. The appointment started as it was scheduled. I first meet with the orthodontist coordinator to take pictures and get documents prepared before meeting the doctor shortly thereafter.
During consultation, the doctor explained everything about the process and expectations without ever feeling I was being rushed so that he can move onto the next patient. Another thing that was different from by previous provider is that Dr. Waldman does the work as agreed. He doesn’t charge for refinement (especially since Invisalign doesn’t charge extra for them). He also, will do whatever is necessary to complete treatment. Even if it mean changing to another orthodontic solution to get the desired results for no additional charge.

I LOOOOVE this office!!! The Staff is just as wonderful as the Doctor.
I love the personable service this office has. Even though we have to wait til my son gets older before he can start working on his teeth, Dr. Waldman and his staff made us feel like family.
I love the emails and the paperwork you complete right at home and then you just email it over!!! It eliminated SO MUCH TIME. Stacey is a Charm. I actually am looking for reasons to go back to the dentist! Lol, this is crazy!!! lol. Thank you Dr. Robbins for the referral.
