I have to say that I am pleased with this journey! When I move to LA it was hard for me to find good hair stylist, back home I used to go very often and to have the best service. Finally I have found it with lady Rrena and mr. Tom. Rrena is very passionate about her work, what you can feel after just once. She heard what I had in my mind and I heard her suggestion and result is amazing.
I have to say that all other stylists are very nice too. You will fill like home. Enjoy!

I love going here! The team at this salon will ensure that you feel pampered, and yet the prices are very reasonable for such a beautiful salon in Beverly Hills.
I recently decided to take about 5 inches of length off of my hair (embarrassingly enough because I fell in love with the look of Khloe Kardashian’s new cut) and Rex did an amazing job. He made it work for my face. I highly recommend you pay them a visit.

I first want to say THANK YOU again to Zoe for transforming my look and taking my hair to an entire new level. I had long hair down to my mid-​back when I came in and while it was beautiful, I was looking to take a daring risk towards something more modern and edgy. Zoe absolutely helped me take the leap! When I walked in, the only thing that I was clear on was that I wanted it drastically shorter than it was. Her vision totally made this possible! I walked out with a cut that fit my face shape, desired statement, and I felt free of my long hair! She definitely knows hair — her talent, expertise, and creativity all make her more than trustworthy.
Another thing is that she is super gracious and helping me make use of new styles while I endure the growing-​out process. I am going back to her soon to amp it up again! I’m actually super interested in this «hair solution» that was posted on ⁰¹⁄₂₁ (see review below). Just FYI, I called the salon and she’s no longer there but they provided me her number at 213−265−4385 :)

Talk about a hair cut that keeps on giving! Zoe was in charge of taking a mane of hair that went down to my mid-​back, frizzed out and looked plain sloppy, and transforming it into a ‘do that would speak louder than words.
The Before: I’ve gotten great cuts before, but my main criticism has always been that the hair I walk out of the salon with is never what happens when I try to style it myself. I don’t want to curl my hair or blow dry for 45 minutes every day. The cuts have been conventional, haven’t fit my long, rectangular face shape. I was wearing pony tails ALL the time. The hair situation was giving me despair, to be frank.
What I told her: I gave her a range of celebrity photos, and we actually discussed what would work and what wouldn’t. I explained to her that I wanted something interesting but still on the cusp of conservative, something that would draw attention on a stage without inspiring fear into the hearts of parents at a religious school. I was not very specific. I trusted the good reviews on Unilocal and crossed my fingers.
The After: Zoe came up with THE. BEST. HAIRSTYLE. I’ve ever worn. It’s a hair solution! Sleek, modern, subtly asymmetrical for a bit of spice (that was Zoe’s idea — brilliant), she gave me a long bob with layers that suited the texture of my hair and the shape of my face, neck and shoulders. I only need to flip my hair over after the shower and blowdry for 15 minutes and the result is adorable, professional, but interesting. The best part? It cost me $ 80. I was paying the same amount before to much less qualified hair professionals. The cut has paid off — I have gotten so much unexpected positive feedback for this cut. The length has made it easier to do interesting styles, but above all, the specific shape that Zoe styled seems to complement my features no matter how much effort I put into it.

This place works miracles! I went in with my hair completely ruined from bleach, to a point where it chemically burned from waist length hair to something I can’t even name (a choppy mullet looking thing). Rex (cut) and Brian (color) did my hair. They truly did an AMAZING job, they worked magic!

I discovered my hair colorist soulmate Bryan via Unilocal almost a year ago, and have been going to him ever since! He deserves way more than 5 stars for his technique and knowledge about color, and it doesn’t hurt that he’s adorbs and so fun to talk to. He’s from Chicago so he knows what blonde is supposed to look like and gives me the exact look I want. Besides the actual color, he is very talented with his foil technique, so my highlights look natural and not stripey at all. I never have sections where I can see my roots or anything, which has happened to me with previous colorists. The entire salon uses Goldwell color, which is apparently less harsh on your hair. The salon is also really reasonably priced and the people are very down to earth, which surprised me since it’s in Beverly Hills. I’m so grateful I found Bryan & highly recommend him to anyone, especially blondes! ;)

Last year, my hair fell into the wrong hands and I was left with disastrous result. I decided to get it fixed at Tom Brophy with Zoe. I’m the type of client who gives the hair stylist enough space and freedom to do what they want (which gets me into trouble). As much as I give them my trust, I expect them to be highly skilled artists. Before Zoe, I’ve gone great lengths to find the right person to trust but many have failed me over the years.
Zoe saw my train wreck of a hair and somehow, she magically fixed it. I left feeling beautiful again. She understands hair. She understands what works for me and what doesn’t. It’s quite impressive how she intuitively creates the most perfect style for my face, body type, and personality. I can go to her with hardly any instructions and I leave feeling beautiful and happy. This is a rare gift. She gives me the best hair cut, she gives me the best blowouts, making me feel like a goddess. Not many people can satisfy me with my hair.
The salon is modern and clean, staff is super friendly, making clients feel right at home. I haven’t found someone I can trust the way I trust Zoe. She’s amazing!

Thank goodness I was referred to Tom Brophy salon after my horrendous experience at AT Tramp. Shayna, who is amazing and sweet, fixed my hair and really likes what she does. Perfect base and highlights! Tom, himself is also such a sweet man. After 3 – 4 visits, this review is long overdue but so happy with Shayna’s work and will continue to be a client. Thank you!

Go to Tom for the best haircut in LA. I don’t trust anyone else! I had long hair for most of my life. He was a pro at styling it in a textured, layered way to give me the most volume possible. Last week I decided to chop it all off, and I absolutely love my short, angled bob — so much that I’m wishing I’d gone short a long time ago! The cut is modern, and makes me look stylish and edgy even if I’m dressed down. I couldn’t be happier. On top of that, Tom is one of my favorite people, it’s always a pleasure to see him and catch up during a cut. And the whole staff is wonderful. Stop reading reviews and book your appointment :).

I have had my hair cut by Jennifer for 30 years and not once have i ever been disappointed. The greatest part of Jennifer’s haircuts, besides precision is that the cut grows out beautifully as well. I live in Texas mostly now but never get my haircut until i can return to California just for a Jennifer haircut!

Love love love this place. Brian did a great job with my high and low lights and Rex is not only a talented hair stylist but he is fun and sweet. Everyone is always so nice and helpful here. Also, place is very clean and well run.

I have never been so pleased with the outcome of my hair after leaving a salon. First of all, Tom Brophy has the biggest heart-​he loves what he does and shows extreme care to all the people who walk in through the doors. After checking in with the receptionist I was immediately offered a drink & taken to a changing room. I was so desperate for some change and I knew I came to the right place to transform my look the day before my college graduation (ballsy). Rena cut my hair and she was so much fun! I had no idea what I wanted but she had such an eye for the style and look she thought I would be happy with. She was right. Rena was very gentle and thoughtful as she took care of me from washing my hair to styling it. Rena also raved about Shayna and told me she does the best job with color. I will honestly say this: I have seen my friends who have gone to cheaper places to get their hair done and it is just not up to the quality and standard of the products used at this salon. I can totally see the difference in the products used at the salon. My color looks GREAT and you can tell it was done by professionals that use the best of the best to do your hair. Not to mention they all have great backgrounds and are extremely knowledgeable :)

I recently brought my girlfriend here after my sister had a good experience and raved about one of the stylists — Zoe.
Anyway — skeptical as I was — the results speak for themselves. Zoe took what was a bad haircut from a competitor who will remain nameless (it wasn’t Vidal — put it that way)…and transformed it into… um…hey…I don’t know hair talk but she looks super hot. And since it was MY idea… I figured I would write the review and give thanks to Zoe for being an exceptional stylist… and also so that I don’t have to hear my girlfriend complain anymore.

I just moved to LA recently and everyone knows finding a new salon in a new city is always tough. However, I really lucked out with Tom Brophy Salon! I got my first balayage highlights done by Shayna and a cut by Rena and both did a phenomenal job.
I’m extremely picky when it comes to my hair and both stylists listened carefully to what I wanted and were very sweet. Unlike some other salons, Shayna was the one to apply all of my color, not the assistants, and she checked on me often during the process. My hair can be difficult to color and a few days after the appointment, the color started turning brassy, which was not Shayna’s fault at all. However, I emailed her and she responded immediately and got me in the next day to tone it at no additional cost. Now it’s perfect! So I really appreciate her taking the extra step to make sure I’m happy.
As for Rena, she is a freaking haircut rockstar. I’m very low maintenance with my hair and she created a cut for me that is wash-​and-​go while still looking fun and fresh. I’ve gotten so many compliments on it and I love that it’s so different from other cuts I’ve had in the past.
Everyone at the salon was very nice and professional. Even though it’s located in the heart of Beverly Hills, it wasn’t pretentious at all. So happy I found Tom Brophy Salon, thanks Unilocal and thanks Shayna and Rena!

I recently had a Brazilian Blowout done by Rena. I really wasn’t sure what to expect since I never had one before. My hair is pretty fine and frizzy so I usually tame it by blow drying, then finish it off with a straightener and some product. After Rena did the Brazilian Blowout treatment, I don’t have to do ANYTHING to my hair! I let my hair air dry and that’s it! My hair looks perfect every time, not to mention feels amazing and is so soft and healthy. Best part is, it last for months! Rena did a great job and I cannot thank her enough!

This salon is awesome! I’ve been coming here for a couple months now and always get my hair cut by Zoe! She gives great service and strives to make her clients happy. Next time you need to get your hair cut call and book and appointment with Zoe

Let me just start by saying that I’m one of those mixed breeds whose hair is the suboptimal combination of fine but frizzy, curly but uncute, and somewhere between a mop and Mozart frock.
That said, I went in without knowing this was the day my hair would meet its match in the form of a very fun and friendly Miss Zoe :) Zoe is like Sherlock Holmes for hair — you’ve got a mystery case, she’s got the mind-​palace answer. Thanks to her, I now have a pretty, easy-​to-​manage Amelie-​like overgrown pixie, that complements my can-​opener head like frosting on a cupcake. Enough said.

The best experience I’ve ever had in my life by a long shot! Complete strangers have complimented me on my hairstyle… as sculpted by the master artist ZOE!!! The owner and all staff were also super friendly and professional. Highly recommend if you want to look and feel like a million bucks!!!

Was looking for a place to take my sister to get her hair cut for her birthday and took a chance on Tom Brophy based on the Unilocal reviews– they did not disappoint!
I was very nervous because my sister was going from long hair to trying a new short hair style. From the moment we walked in we were warmly greeting. I was very impressed that they greeted my sister and called her by her first name. Her appointment was with Rex and he right away made her feel comfortable. Even Tom the owner came over to check in on my sister as they could all tell she was really nervous.
Rex was amazing! He started by cutting the 12+ inches off my sisters hair and placed in a bag as she intended to donate it to Locks of Love. He cut and styled her so flawlessly and showed her multiple ways to style her hair. I was actually was a bit jealous! LOL I’m definitely going to book an appointment with Rex soon. My sister is extremely happy with her new hair and says she won’t go anywhere else!
