We are fun, friendly and professional. We also shape brows, provide make up applications. We rock and rule at Throne On Rodeo. Our makeup line is Rouge Bunny Rouge from London, an incredible line we are one of the first in Los Angeles to carry.

History

Established in 2015.

The owner of Throne was formerly the manager of Beverly Hills top lash salon «Lashfully» located in Rodeo Collection as well. When that salon was put up for sale because the Northern Ca owners no longer wanted to have the So Cal location, Shelby was offered her own salon by the property management because of the success she had with bringing «Life» to the location.

Working at Lashfully, Shelby learned the in’s and out’s of the beauty industry, and more importantly the eyelash extension business. When she opened Throne, the best lash artists were invited to join her there and chose to do so. Bella Hogan, Emily Phelps and Makalia «Kai» Adams have a «cult» following now here at Throne.

With a music industry background as well, Throne comes with a Rock N Roll attitude and energy!

I come from a rock music promotion background. I have always had a passion for fitness and beauty as well. I built a successful personal training business in the Bay Area but recently moved back to LA. The opportunity to open a salon on Rodeo Drive was presented to me and I came up with the concept for Throne On Rodeo to represent what I love and stand for which is beauty, fitness and rock n roll! Throne On Rodeo is not your typical salon. We created a different «feel» and environment here that represents the talent and creativity of the top beauty specialists who came with me to work for Throne from other very popular salons in Los Angeles. Throne is home to the best of the best at makeup, lashes, skin care and waxing. There is more to come… stay tuned.

I read about Kai in InStyle Magazine and she did not disappoint. LOVE. It’s close to a public parking garage with FREE parking (which is basically unheard of in L.A.), and all of the women who work there were so friendly, welcoming and everyone seemed to be having fun. Great vibe going on around you while you pay someone to rip hair off your face :) I’ll be going back for sure! Thanks Kai!

I absolutely love being at Throne! Such a fun rocker chic little boudoir of beauty! They have the best products and accessories and by the way, they also do some amazing makeup, lashes and as painless as can be waxing! Everyone is super friendly and knowledgeable. It’s a great place to get ready for a night out or any event! They have amazing jewelry and gift, I love that every time I’m in they have new fun products that I can’t find anywhere else! I very much recommend you check this place out!

The only place I trust! Kai is amazing! I’ve been to at least three other places and they either never last or they are not applied properly and therefore cause my own lashes to fall off. Idk what Kai does but my lashes last forever and they look so full and natural.

I went to throne back in June for the first time to get eyelash extensions for my Europe trip, no complaints, the lashes were amazing and lasted beautifully for about a month. With such a great experience the first time, I decided to go back and get a set of extensions for my Thailand trip. (I am so upset, I’m writing my review from Thailand) I expected way more, I always raved about this place and have sent many, many clients here. Unfortunately, literally, two days after receiving my extensions, my left eyelashes were falling out uncontrollably. Within a few days, all lashes on my left eye were gone. So disappointed. Also, first time took the girl 1.5−2hours for a full set, this time she was done in 50minutes. My lashes were so bad, I had to find a store in Thailand that sold strip lashes so I could match my left eye to my right. Will not be going back.

I had a great time getting ready for Holiday parties at Throne. First, I got my glam on with fun eyelash extensions and the best brow shaping ever. Next, the xmas gifts were unique, amazing and perfect. I saved a ton of time, had fun and came out looking party perfect.

Thursday, December 3rd booked a Lash Extension & Brow Tint with Shelby the owner for Tuesday, December 22nd at 6:15pm. I literally RUSHED to be there before my appointment, found a spot right there on Rodeo, walked down the slippery rainy stairs at 6:02pm to see that the shop is closed. I asked the nice guy at the Valet, he stated that Shelby was in the Shop on Monday for a brief moment, looked as if she was preparing to be gone for awhile. Well, that doesn’t do me or the Unilocal Voucher I purchased especially for this appointment.
I waited 45 mins, even asked the super nice lady next door at Eye Candy, she said he had not seen any there in sometime. Eye Candy actually offered to do my lashes however, I had already spent $ 100 on the already purchased voucher and they could not help with that nor was I asking. Just the kindness she had knowing I had been waiting for so long.
I realize people will pounce on this negative review, sorry but when you schedule an appointment 20 days in advance and there is no one in the shop it stinks let alone not even a call to say hey!!! Yes, I had called and left v/​m asking what happened still no call back

I recently got a full lash set at Throne and I could not be more pleased with the results. It was my first time having anything done to my lashes so I was a tad apprehensive but the wonderful artist (Kai Adams) walked me through the entire process and made sure I was super comfortable. Lashes make all the difference!

Wow! My experience at Throne on Rodeo was fantastic! Shelby, the owner, is very welcoming, warm, and friendly. Kai did my lashes and my experience exceeded my expectations. Before she began, Kai consulted with me and gave her opinion of what kind of lashes would suit me best according to my natural lashes, the shape of my eyes, and the contour of my face. I was extremely happy with the results and get compliments on them where ever I go.
The team at Throne is excellent and I would HIGHLY recommend the talented Kai and all of the girls there!

What an amazing experience, had my eyebrows done, along with my make up. Loved my new look. Then had my daughters eyebrows and make up done for her meeting with a modeling agency. She looked so natural and beautiful. Shelby took such good care of us, connecting us with a hairstylist and skincare.

There is not enough space or words to convey how absolutely wonderful Throne on Rodeo is! Thank you Shelby for being wise enough and brave enough to jump into the Sugar Bowl, we needed you so very desperately. Kai, Bella etc etc etc are the BEST ~ for anyone who has not treated themselves to the services here, once you finish your treatment, you will be so thankful that you did! I am irrefutably hooked, my lashes are a mandatory way to honor me and I cannot imagine my life without them. Shelby is a DOLL and who would not want to have WHATEVER it is that she has, she is the personification of all that you will find at Throne on Rodeo!!! Yaaaayyyyy!

Kai is my girl!!! I have been seeing her for the past 4 years. I was actually one of her clients in SF, then we coincidentally moved out the same time to LA. Throne is my favorite place to get glammed up. My eyelashes are done by Bella or Kai, they both do a fantastic job. My eyelashes are looking so good and natural, everyone asks me what mascara I use. Eyelashes mahes a huge difference, no messy mascara make up, it is a way to always look good and fresh…

Love love love Throne! Shelby, the owner, is just about as cool as you can get. All the beautiful ladies that work there are not only skilled, but tons of fun. I regularly see either Bella or Kai, but everyone there is great. I have gone to them for my lashes religiously every 2 – 3 weeks for awhile. I get complimented on my lashes almost daily. Not only are my extensions super glam, but my own lashes are never damaged. They use the best techniques to ensure total perfection. Everyone is passionate at their craft, and it shows. They are all at the top of their game.
There’s nothing better than waking up with wam-bam-thank-you-ma’am lashes. I never wear eye makeup anymore because I don’t need to. Talk about a time saver! The Throne team really is a weapon of mass seduction!

Kai Adams is my go-​to girl. I’ll never let anyone else do my lashes. She’s a real-​deal expert and has passion for her craft. I followed her from my previous salon. She honored my original rate — I didn’t even ask! I swear by this girl. With her help, I wake up not needing an ounce of make-​up to congest my pores or get in my eyes. I look doe-​eyed and flirtatiously alert. She’s got my winged b-​curl down to a science.

Margarita is by far the BEST in the business! I have been going to her for over 10 years! For 8 of those years, I drove 50 miles for a 15 minute appointment because I love her so much! I will not go anywhere else to have my eyelashes done! Kai is the best artist and makes the appointment fun and my lashes always look amazing. The best part is Shelby Blackburn. She will work to get you in and make you comfortable in this beautiful little shop on Rodeo. Before I found them I tried other spots but no need to look again.
