My FAVORITE item from these stores was their house brand tank tops. Stretchy, snug, thick-so they were super flattering, and just the right cut-wide enough straps to not ever show bra straps and good & long. I haven’t lived in LA for over 10 years now. I have no reason to go to LA(except a frivolous wish for these tank tops and a Phillipe’s French dip, sigh!) …My tank tips are threadbare, and I have looked up this company every few months for the last ten years in hopes they would sell online. Laziness? I think they must have gone bust because they were so stubborn about not having a website. And PS: this stubborn girl still has no reason to go to LA, and STILL wants more Theodore tank tops, dag-nab-it!

Theodores has been a go to place for me as long ago as I can remember. I still have clothes I bought there in the 80’s and they are still just as cool. What I love about this store they had the whole artistic relaxed vibe handled. And I know how difficult it is to find as I do the same look but in interiors. I really miss this place and all the people there. If you girls ever get a chance to read this I want to thank you for all the amazing cool artistic clothing you curated. It’s hard to get it right Edgy but not too edgy sensual and feminine relaxed timeless still contemporary. Sophisticated yet real. Creating all that is an art form and unfortunately too often under appreciated. So thank you for all the years you gave us amazing choices all the work you put into finding the cool vibe ! You are TRULY missed.

Great chain of stores! This is a type of stores you either love it or you don’t. We obviously love their stores. Sad to see them go. I am sure they will think of a way and REVIVE! Thank you for providing great clothing and accessories for many years(decades) in some of the best cities in So Cal(or maybe the world!!!). In retail, you can’t please everyone. Theodore has done a fabulous job over the decades!

I’m so sad to see this amazing store close its doors. Leslie, the store manager has been dressing my for years. She has a great sense of style and always lets me know when new things come in that I wouldn’t want to miss. I don’t know what I’ll do without her guidance! LA won’t be the same without Theodore!

Leslie Letelier, daughter of the owner has got to be the rudest, anti customer service person in retail. This has been evident over many years of being a Theodore customer. Its probably one of the reasons they are going out of business. She should never be in a position of dealing with customers.

I am so sorry to see Theodore closing its doors. My family and I shopped with the family since the 70s. The blending of sporty and elegant, chic, sophisticated and edgy– Theodore has been a one stop shop. I don’t understand the woman who criticized Leslie. Leslie is wonderful, accommodating, has a great sense of fashion and the other sale ladies and gentlemen have always been well trained and wonderful. I wish the funk family luck in future adventure and hope they may be able to reconsider and keep one itsy bitsy store open!
