Valery is a wonderful teacher. Both my daughter (6 yrs old) and I have enjoyed learning piano with him. Val is a very talented musician without doubt. With all his professional qualifications, he is also very passionate about teaching music and loves helping others. As to teaching kids, he knows how to balance fun and discipline, and has a good interaction with them. I am very glad that my daughter has such a great teacher who will continue to influence her musical development and understanding.

Val is such a great teacher! He has helped me push past years of frustration around music theory and piano! I’ve improved so much since working with Val! Highly recommend this school!

This is my first review on Unilocal ever and I use Unilocal on a daily basis so this means something! I’m a 23 year old who had basically no previous experience playing the piano before learning with Val. Val is a professional who made me feel comfortable since day 1 even though I was relatively new to music and the piano. In a couple of months I can now sight read basic songs and have a solid framework for understanding music theory. I learned Fur Elise in less than a month. I leave every lesson feeling challenged, encouraged and with a deeper appreciation for all music. Strangely, I also leave feeling very zen like. Not only is Val a gifted and experienced musician, he is also an excellent teacher that has the ability to bring out the best in his students. I can’t wait to see where I’m at in the following months and years!

We are so lucky to have Val as our children’s piano teacher. He has a mellow and seemingly relaxed approach, but has brought out an enthusiasm and love of learning music in each of our children, as well as remarkable progress in a short amount of time. He is able to read each child’s strengths in order to figure out the best approach for that child, and adapts his lessons accordingly. He also brings a breadth to the lessons that is refreshing, as the kids learn music appreciation, theory, composition and of course playing. I sometimes like to sit in on the lessons and learn things that I was never taught in my 5 years of lessons as a child. Do not hesitate to try out Val. He is a gem.

V is a very talented individual who hold a strong command of music theory and techniques. I can’t think of anyone who is a better teacher than him. He is also very, kind and understanding.
His establishment is very clean, professional and locates in central Los Angeles. Really recommend him to anyone who is interested in pursuing music.

I was looking a piano teacher for my daughter (Sayan) when I moved to LA and really glad I reached out Val!. Val is totally amazing, nice and respectful teacher with a lot of patient. Like other little kids, Sayan is easily frustrated and discouraged. But Val inspires her, makes class a fun for her with ear training, voice training activities. After working with Val for 2 months, Sayan has shown speed up improvement. The most importantly, she started understanding and loving music.

Our family is very happy and lucky that we have found Val as our kids’ piano teacher. He is fun, patient and encouraging with my children. He own music education background is extensive and impressive, and he carries that global, world-​stage perspective into his lessons. He plays some of his own compositions and also improvises melodies to demonstrate musical concept to my kids during lessons. These impromptu demos are superb and give the kids a living example of how beautiful music can be (with talent and a lot of practice).
Val’s own extensive musical education, both at the Julliard in the U.S. and Hochschule für Musik in Germany with their internationally renown musician teachers and world-​wide students) means that Val brings some of the best teaching techniques that he has learned from his teachers and peers into his lessons.
Our 6-y.o. son, who had about 6 months of lessons and 8-y.o. daughter who had 2 years of lessons prior to lesson with Val, had been slow to progress with their previous teachers, despite daily practice. Since switching to Val in the summer of 2015, both children are showing remarkable improvements in their techniques and increased interest in music.
Val works on all aspects of music education, from ear training, sight reading, rhythm, performance artistry (musicality), and musical terminology. I appreciate Val’s approach in not limiting his teachings to what is covered in lesson books. He has shared his philosophy that he is teaching his students the fundamentals and understanding of music, so that whether they continue with piano or move on to other instruments, the key skills will be transferable.
My kids are now making comments that they might like to try some different instruments in the future (drums were mentioned — heaven help us, or at least our eardrums). Now that Val and his contacts have started a music school, our family is excited to have the future option to continue our exploration of music with a group of top-​caliber music educators sharing Val’s teaching passion.

V is an awesome teacher who really cares and tries to motivates his students to achieve their best. i would highly recommend him!

Val is the very best music/​piano teacher that we could have found for our boys who are 5 and 10 yo. They both think he’s great. He is very professional and passionate about teaching. While he sets high standards for them they still enjoy their lessons because he knows how to talk to kids.

I’ve had Val as a piano teacher for the last couple of months and I’m really impressed with my progress! I always thought he and the school staff were specialized in teaching kids and I couldn’t believe what I learned as an adult beginner. Not only Val is amazing, he is Juilliard trained piano player with years of experience under his belt. He also has an amazing team of instructors at the school with degrees from Berklee and Juilliard and honestly I have never seen such high quality music education especially in California where not only the teachers go to your home but their professionalism and experience is something you don’t see every day. Wish you all the luck Val with the Music Globe I believe the school is going to be a phenomenal success.

I have been playing piano for a while and have went through several different teachers in the past, but this is the first time that I have the privilege to work with a teacher as great as Valery. He’s a great musician/​pianist and not to mention an even better teacher. He’s professional, hard working, patient and always brings something new to the table in every lesson. He also listens to my suggestions yet at the same time focuses on the area where I need to work on to improve my performing skill. He’s also amazing at improvising and composing. He usually plays a few of his own compositions during the lesson and then just improvises on the spot and somehow blends it flawlessly with other pieces to create a new masterpiece. And the best part is at first glance no one would probably even realizes he was improvising. That alone tells you how talented he is. On top of that, he’s also flexible with rescheduling as long as you give a 24 hours notice in advance. And as a full time student and part time worker, that is something I really appreciate. So bottom line, Val is a great teacher and I would highly recommend anyone who wants to improve their piano skills (at any level) or is interested in trying out different instruments to give him and his new music school a chance. He’s a perfectionist in what he does so I’m sure he expects the same standard for every single instrument teacher that will be working under his company, so rest assured that you will be getting your money worth experience. I’m definitely looking forward to taking more instrument lessons that his new school is offering ;-)!!

Valery is the best teacher to go to. I am also his student. He became like a family to me, he is very kind and a hard worker. He will NEVER give up on any of his students until they reach their goals. Whether it’s just playing piano, or singing AND playing it is your choice, he will help with anything you want and also teach more and more for examples; reading notes, etc. Every Time you have lessons with him, he teaches something new. And He can make up any amazing song at the same moment in his head and play it for you as he was woking on the composed song for a while, but he didnt even think from where should he start playing and how, he just plays. And writes a song in his head. Isn’t it AMAZING? Just playing a song from your head which you composed YOURSELF? You CAN learn to play like him too, and even better… So, He just opened a Music School, & i would definitely recommend you to go to him. I’ve been playing piano for several MONTH now, and i just had a performance a while ago, and the audience thought that I’ve been playing the piano for years. So Valery taught me everything detailed and helped me reach my Highest goals. He also helped me to be confident in myself and made me just go for it. I was very nervous because it was my first performance playing the piano but he still made me go there and TRY my BEST So, please check him out, he is a cool dude, who can be pretty fun, and also very strict when is needed. And i promise you that you will also reach your HIGHEST goals and be a professional someday like Valery and even better.
