We provide a permanent placement home for animals that are in need of special medical attention, emotional care or have lost their owners. We are a sanctuary and do NOT adopt out those we take in. We provide 24 hour care, including hospice care when needed. We accept Pet Trusts and Sponsorships.

History

Established in 2014.

With over 30 years of rescue experience, The Greener Side Haven became to big to handle without help, both financially and from volunteers. The corporation was formed and we became a 501 (c)(3) non-​profit organization.

Business Owner

Growing up I could not have any animals because of allergies and asthma. I always loved animals and yearned to have a puppy. I finally got my first one at the age of 20. I chose the runt of the litter. Within a year, he developed mange. Back then they did not know how to treat the disease. I took him to vet after vet and any specialist I could find, but to no avail. At the age of 2, I had to put him to sleep. It took me a few years to get my next dog, but once I did, I never stopped trying to help those that needed me. I still remain allergic to all the animals, but that doesn’t stop me from doing what I know I was meant to do.
