Snaps to Carlos, the MRI tech for putting me at ease and being patient with my crazy claustrophobic questions. He made it easy as pie. A lumbar MRI in the sitting machine is not much different than sitting in a typical airline coach seat. Thanks, Carlos, you rock! The only reason I am giving four stars instead of five is that I am not a medical professional and have no way of knowing whether this type of machine — though great for me – is appropriate for other patients.

My last MRI experience resulted in a terrible claustrophobic experience. When it came time for another my doctor recommended Stand Up MRI.
What a difference! Quick and easy. No claustrophobia. Wide open in front of you, TV to watch if you like, and a pillow in your lap to help you rest easy. Would definitely return here again if I ever needed another MRI.

Very quick and easy. Came in on Saturday morning and was done with everything in about 40 minutes. Tech was a nice guy and there is a tv to watch while you sit.

I came to this MRI location thanks to another Dr. that sent me here. I paid $ 450 cash and after 3 weeks for phone calls, from billing to main office (Dizzett or Elisa at Beverly Hills office just constantly send me back to billing dept.), no one has been able to give me an itemized statement to prove the MRI was done. This is needed for my taxes. What the heck, why is something so simple, so complicated!!!

This place is really piss poor customer service. The girl I spoke to lied and said the machine was as accurate as the closed MRI’s which it is not (according to my Harvard neurosurgeon from Stanford). I made an appointment and then spoke to my neurosurgeon to verify (since I have contrast, I cannot do this test more than once every 1.5 yrs min). He advised against it. I am not clausterphobic however, I thought it would be less germs (more of a germophobe) and an open machine sounds good but they do not hold the same amount of waves. The accuracy is off and there is no reason to do an MRI if you cannot get the best reading possible. I decided to transfer to another surgical center and the girl did not want to put in the new authorization code. She is arguing with me for more than five minutes to call my insurance co. MEANWHILE, I did the same thing to get my appointment there (called the other MRI center and they changed the code in their computer). I was going to visit an MRI that was in Burbank however, they had an addtional fee (unnecessary) so, i called them and they changed the authorization with ZERO hassles… but here… no such luck. Read the reviews: lots of one and two stars. The girl that answered the phone does her company no justice as an employee. She was actually arguing with me when I did the same thing for her just a few days back. Do not go here if you care about your time, an ACCURATE reading, rude staff, answering the phone, and no hassles.

i was just contacted by stand-​up-​mri of b.h. and per my doctors instructions, they booked me for an open mri. the receptionist and the other people in the office could not have been nicer. when they called to confirm my appointment they even answered my silly questions. i found them to be very professional and concerned about their work and patiences. jeanette post

Rudest front staff EVER! It took two calls to schedule an appointment and then they called two times to reschedule. One call to try and schedule an appointment and you will find out within 5 seconds how horrible the front staff is.

If you have an extra 5 hours to kill, this is the perfect place to go. The name «stand up MRI» kind of implies you will be in and out.
Let me explain what will really happen: you will be «greeted» by one of the two rude receptionists, given 500 forms to sign, and then proceed to wait till the sun goes down until they finally call you in.
By the way– this place is not busy. Why are they taking so long!!!
To conclude, go someplace else.

Two days in a row i have called this office during regular business hours to schedule an mri. Both times i was told by the staff my call would be returned shortly thereafter. I am an upstanding person, with great insurance, plenty of cash and a doctor’s prescription for an mri.
I dont know if they’re just lazy or stupid, but I never got a call back either day.
I certainly dont want this level of ineptitude involved with mri let alone the scheduling of it.
Finding a different mri facility now.

I tried to call for the appointment, but the staff is not helpful at all despite the fact I provided all the insurance plan through Anthem Blue cross. The staff called back they dont schedule the appointment on Monday, (March 31), and that is the only day I can go. (I cannot drive there since I need someone to take me there). The staff (Eliza Gallardo) told me they dont have any doctor that can schedule me to do stand up MRI. What kind of service does you provide? I was furious!!! She told me to go around somewhere else or schedule another day.

Excellent service… the technician was very nice and eased my grandma’s worries. We received the films right away. Great job!

I love this place, the Mri was so much better than the other guys, love the open machine and the tv they have for you, + the staff is GREAT, only had to wait 5min after filling out the paper work… Keep up thr good work. thanks :)

Waited with a friend for almost an hour before they called her. No magazines in waiting room. If you’re going to make someone wait that long, you need to provide magazines but, really… no one should have to wait that long — ever.
The MRI’s (with /​without contrast) lasted over 2 ½ hours. I’m not an expert but, from what I read (everywhere) an MRI should take between 20 and 45 minutes so… it should not have taken 2 ½ hours for the procedure. Maybe the fact they take so long to perform the procedure is the reason we had to wait so long before they ever called her in.
OH and to top it all off, there is a Unilocal sign in the waiting room stating they strive for 5 star reviews. Well, now you have to start working for 5 star reviews. They are given for excellence, not mediocrity and long waits.

This is an AMAZING facility! I am the biggest chicken when it comes to having MRI’s, but the staff made the experience tolerable. If you have fear of being enclosed, go see HD. I almost forgot I was in that claustrophobic chair… You guys are awesome!

I’m soooooo happy that I could use this machine instead of the noisy coffin that the hospital passes for an MRI. Staff was really nice, and very patient. I would recommend this place to anyone!

THANK GOD for this machine. I am crazy claustrophobic, I recently went on that stupid Finding Nemo submarine ride at Disneyland and almost had a panic attack. A few years ago I had some neck problems and did an «open MRI» thinking it would better than the tube, and it was just as bad. The stand up MRI is great, you sit in a chair and watch the TV in front of you, there is nothing in your face to give you a sense of claustrophobia, the two large walls enclose you on both sides as it sinks you about four feet back. HOWEVER they put a Hannibal Lector type open plastic cage thing around my head, this made me feel a little uncomfortable but NOTHING as bad as an open or regular MRI. The only problem I had with this procedure is the seat dropped two inches after I sat down, so I had to extend my neck up into the Hannibal thing which ended up hurting my lower back. But besides that this is a great option for anyone with claustrophobia.
Friendly staff, very nice technician and pleasant waiting room.

A big thank you to Sheena and the staff at Stand Up MRI Of Beverly Hills for making my first time experience taking an MRI an amazing one.
The staff was so professional and made me feel so comfortable that they helped me lose any and all apprehensions I had about the process. They reassured me that the process would be quick and easy.
They explained everything to me step by step and despite my fear and inability to move, the 20 minute process passed surprising quick. I was able to watch T.V. on a big screen while the MRI was in progress which helped time pass amazingly quick.
I would highly recommend Stand Up MRI of Beverly Hills for anyone who wants a medical office with a good professional caring staff.

My father has dealt with various back pains over the years and has seen numerous doctors. He has done over a dozen MRIs without much discovery or relief.
So when a friend of mine recommended Stand-​Up MRI, I was interested. The majority of MRI centers have their patients lying down and this physical restriction doesn’t allow the imaging to see the stress and pressure that occurs when a person is living their normal, upright, day-​to-​day life — nobody lives lying down!
All of the people (front desk staff, technicians, etc.) were all very friendly and the process was very smooth. With the new MRI and the unique perspective that the images will provide, we hope to find a solution to some of my father’s ailments.

I was recently involved in an accident where I had horrible whiplash and I literally couldn’t move my neck. I needed to get an x-​ray asap and I wasn’t able to get an appointment anywhere. I called Stand-​Up MRI and they were able to see me immediately.
They have a large parking garage located next to their office and as I walked in, I was taken right away to get my x-​ray. The staff was very helpful and accommodating to my needs. My x-​ray was reviewed by the radiologist and sent off to my doctor while I was still at the center. I have never in my life been in and out of a medical center as fast as I was at Stand-​Up MRI.
I would recommend to anyone and I will definitely be going back there again if I ever need an x-​ray or MRI!
