I was just put on hold for 7 minutes. I hung up and called back again and was placed on another endless hold. I give up. Never again.

Omg I can see… amazing!!! I just had cataract surgery by dr Cornell. I cannot tell you how happy I am. Dr. Cornell is very meticulous and staff are wonderful.

I had worn contact lens for more than 30 years and have always had an annual ophthalmological examination. I was told that I was developing cataracts and as they began to worsen, I was advised by Dr. Cornell that I would know when it was time to have them removed. That time came and I scheduled my cataract removaal surgery for January 2015 for one eye and February 2015 for the other eye. Additionally, I was advised by Dr. Cornell of my other vision options. I chose to have Toric lens replacement with each surgery.
I formerly worked in the medical field and cannot speak more highly of this medical practice. Beginning with the coordination of the surgeries with the front office and the preoperative instructions, measurements and examinations through the coordination with the surgical center to the post-​operative follow up, there was a wonderful flow. The staff was so efficient and caring only exceeded by Dr. Cornell’s preciseness and wonderful manner.
I cannot say enough about this revelation — seeing perfectly (²⁰⁄₂₀) is like a whole new world. I would like to thank all who were involved in my extraordinary care and would highly recommend this office to anyone wanting to see their world again.

Dr. Cornell and his office staff are incredible, so efficient, so caring and above all
so competent. I had the Lasik surgery, and can see without glasses or contacts. It is
so comforting to meet a doctor without an inflated ego but Dr. Cornell is surely
worthy of having one. He is kind, concerned and ever so capable.

I woke up with a red eye which was very painful. I knew it wasn’t pink eye and so I called to see if the office could fit me in. The front desk was very helpful in getting me in right away, even though I was a new patient. They did inform me that I might have a long wait due to the doctor’s work schedule. However, they got my paperwork and initial report right away. I was seen by the associate Doctor, who was simply great! Everyone was professional and very, very thorough. I am very grateful I found this practice!

I can’t express my gratitude for Dr. Cornell enough. He literally SAVED MY LIFE. When I awoke with failing vision in my left eye, his office took me in immediately and he diagnosed my problem as «this is not just your eye, you have something in your system» and sent me immediately to an internist. I had a raging virus that destroyed my eye. Thanks to Dr. Cornell, that is all I lost. I now trust him, only him, with my remaining eye and sight, including recent cataract surgery. Had he not acted immediately and diagnosed me properly. .. I would not be here to write this.
He is my hero.

I was lucky enough to be seen by Dr Cornell in consultation and he performed cataract surgery for me on both of my eyes. Dr Cornell is an A+++++ physician: brilliant, personable, consciousious, thoughtful and a talented, magnificent surgeon. He was very thorough in his evaluation of my complex eye problems and explained everything to me in a concise and thoughtful manner. He made me very comfortable during the surgeries and they were over before I knew it! His staff is professional and caring. My outcome could not be better and i could not be happier with my results. Thank you Dr Cornell and staff! You are more than worth the wait! If your primary criteria in picking a DR is that you don’t have to wait, you can see a Dr who has nothing better to do than wait for you!

The doctors were quite pleasant and great to work with, but the front office staff is totally incompetent. My calls typically aren’t returned and I’m put on hold an average of 2 times when I do get someone. I won’t return just because it’s nearly impossible to actually get service.

I am a patient of Dr. Cornell’s since the 1990s. From the beginning, I have been extraordinarily impressed with the efficiency, excellence and high standard of care patients receive from Drs. Cornell and Stoll and their staff. They are the best of the best. In 2013, I had cataract surgery on both my left and right eyes. From the start, the office informed me of everything that was to happen from the surgical preparation and procedure and what options I had to insurance charges. The surgeries went extremely well. The surgical center was excellent and Dr. Cornell’s work was first-​rate. After the surgery, any needs I had were met immediately. I now have better than 20 – 20 vision and am loving my new eyesight. I highly recommend Dr. Cornell. You are in great hands with him and his team.

The best! I had LASIK Friday evening and woke up seeing perfectly. No dry eyes, blurry vision, etc. This was the easiest thing ever. I wish I didn’t wait so long. Perfect seamless experience.

I had my eyes lasik’d with him. It was ouchy, but Dr Cornell followed up with me and even went out of his way to come in on a Saturday when my eyes were being weird.
He was very informative and answered all my questions.

I gave only 4 stars because you are going to have to wait. Make no other plans around this appointment because this is just the way this office runs. Accept that and you will be in amazing hands!

While Dr. Cornell and Dr. Stoll are both wonderfully brilliant doctors, the experience of going to see them is less than perfect. I don’t know of any other dr’s who take up 2+ hours of time. They run like a factory, so if someone runs late, or there is an unexpected glitch, it backs up the system and the patients suffer. Dr. Cornell is ALWAYS apologizing for the long wait and it gets really tiresome hearing this. I’ve been going here for over 15 years and the problem only seems to be getting worse. The doctor deserves more stars but the overall experience leaves a lot to be desired.

I have just finished all my treatments with the one and only Dr. Cornell. What a pleasure! Honest, No BS and a truly caring doctor.
My cataract journey began with another high profile doctor who could have cared less about me (other than my money) and I was introduced to Dr. Cornell. Thank God!
His staff is caring and wonderful and I would highly recommend them to anyone who needs eye help.

Wonderful

I used to have a deep fear of touching my eyes or having someone touch my eyes. I have even had other optometrists get angry with me for being uncooperative. For the last decade, this is the only office I will go to for my eye check-​ups. Everyone here is very patient with me. A few years back I decided to start using contacts and the woman who helped teach me how to use them spent two one-​hour sessions coaching me through it. I still can’t believe how genuine she was.

Before I saw Dr. Cornell, I visited a famous local surgical ophthalmologist here in the San Jose Bay Area. He has performed LASIK on local professional athletes most notably Barry Bonds. I was with his staff for most of the hour for the eye exams and what not and probably spent no more than 10 min. with Dr. K himself. He looked at my eyes, made me read some letters off the charts, looked at my eyes again, gave me a CD to watch at home, asked if I had any questions and sent me to another staff member to discuss my financial options. I felt like I was patient # 12 973 583 and not Van, the patient. He was very business-​like and had no personality whatsoever.
And then there is Dr. Cornell :) Wow! What a huge difference! I did some research on Dr. Cornell before I made my appointment and you will see that he has an extensive background. I spent equal amounts of time if not more with Dr. Cornell as I did with his staff. His exams were EXTREMELY thorough. In fact, he performed more eye exams than Dr. K. He double checked his results with his staff to ensure everything is aligned. He explained the operation/​procedure down to a ‘T’ and was very personable. I’m glad my friend Cindee referred me to Dr. Cornell and his wonderful staff.
I now see ²⁰⁄₂₀!!! Hooray!!! I was pretty nearsighted about 6.50 in both eyes and had a slight astigmatism. But no more with LASIK! It has been over a month since the procedure and I no longer have the infamous «halo» effect and my vision has been wonderful! No more contacts and no more glasses! Yippee!!!
My only regret is that I didn’t have LASIK sooner!!! It’s truly the best gift to yourself!!!

I’m ecstatic with the results!

I recently came in for a post-​op follow up with Dr. Cornell. Everything went great! My eyes feel great and my vision even got better! I had a halo effect after the procedure, but halo no more! The halo side effect went away within a few weeks after the procedure. Dr. Cornell was great! I can’t be happier with the service and result!

Dr. Cornell did an EXCELLENT job on my lasik procedure. What I like about Dr. Cornell is that he is very professional, courteous and easy to talk to. He is very sincere and I can tell that he really cares about his patients. The best part about Dr. Cornell is that he is very personable and does not make you feel like just another patient.
Dr. Cornell was very thorough during my pre-​op consultation. He had his staff give me a full exam as well as other tests to make sure I was suitable for the procedure, which I was. Dr. Cornell was honest with me about what kind of results I can expect from my procedure, as well as what sort typical short/​long term side affects I may experience after the procedure (such as dryness and the halo effect). He would stop every so often to ask me if I had any questions or concerns.
Dr. Cornell verbally walked me through each step during the lasik procedure while he was performing the procedure so I would know what he was doing in each step. I was extremely comfortable during the procedure and knew I was in good hands with Dr. Cornell performing the procedure.
It has been about a month since my procedure and my eyes are great! Prior to the procedure, I couldn’t even see the TV guide on TV, or people’s faces when they are just few feet away from me. Its nice not having to worry about having my glasses for daily life activities.
Dr. Cornell and his staff are very professional. They are the best! I highly recommend anyone thinking about getting lasik done to go talk to him.

Dr. Cornell is an excellent surgeon, and a kind, concerned doctor. Very thorough eye exam.

I have been going to the Optical Dispensary located in the offices of Dr Peter Cornell. Daryl, who runs the Optical Dispensary is a really great guy. I have tried to schedule eye exams three different times with Dr. Cornell’s office staff and each time I had to wait 45 minutes, an hour and the last time, after 30 minutes past the appointment time, I advised Daryl that I would leave my old frames and fax him a script. Dr. Cornell’s office have exhibited disrespect for my time and there is no reason for me to reinforce it. I spoke to a friend who also goes there and he said he had the same experience. Dr. Cornell’s service are inexpensive, so continuing to be treated shabbily is not in my future.
