Established in 1994.

Kari Whitman founded KWI — Kari Whitman Interiors — in 1994 as a full service design firm specializing in residential and commercial projects. Projects range from condominiums to estate homes, boutique hotels to large-​scale residential developments.

Known for her stylish, eco– and pet-​friendly designs, Whitman’s clientele includes Jessica Alba, Virginia Madsen, Emilio Estevez, Don Henley, Kristen Bell and Don Johnson.

Selected as a member of the prestigious American Society for Interior Design (ASID), Whitman has showcased many prominent projects in California, New York, Aspen and San Francisco.

Business Owner

Kari Whitman, celebrity interior designer and television personality, is one of Hollywood’s most sought-​after talents. The elegant and inviting spaces she’s created have been featured in In Style, Home and Décor and US Weekly, among others. Kari hosted her own show Designer to the Stars on the WE Network and was a featured designer on The Dude Room on The Discovery Channel. She has been a special correspondent for Extra and has appeared on E, The Today Show, Entertainment Tonight, Access Hollywood, Inside Edition and Hollywood Green. Whitman’s true passion is animals and she is the founder of Ace of Hearts Dog Rescue (www​.ace​of​hearts​dogs​.com). This non-​profit organization is dedicated to rescuing dogs from Los Angeles County shelters the day they are scheduled for euthanasia and finding them loving homes. Whitman also created Greener Pup (www​.green​er​pup​.com) eco dog beds with recycled designer covers and 100% recycled plastic bed fillers. 100% of profits benefit Ace of Hearts!
