Guy is a hair GENIUS AND GURU. He has rebirthed my hair and nursed it back to health. He goes above and beyond for his clients. The first time he met me my hair was beyond damaged and he told me the cause and gave me a step by step diagnosis for how to repair my hair. He also cancelled his next appointment in order to make sure he allotted enough time to care for my hair. Since my time going to him my hair has never been healthier, thicker, or stronger. I used to be allergic to getting hair cuts or going to hair salons because everyone was scissor happy and didn’t know how to style and shape my curly hair. With Guy he specifically told me what he was doing to my hair, how he was going to cut it, how I can style it curly or straight and I have never been happier. I look forward to going and getting my hair cuts because he is such a pleasure to be around. He even had the salon call me to let me know about a new hair serum for my hair! He is beyond thoughtful. I seriously recommend Guy and ONLY Guy. I guess there is a reason why all roads have finally led me to him, and I am so upset I hadn’t found him sooner. I now go ever 4 – 6 weeks for a trim, and swear by his blow drys. He makes my hair look so volumiZed, full, and edgy. He has regained my confidence and I am seriously indebted to him. Hair is very important to me, and because it’s important to me it’s important to Guy too and that’s what I love about him!!!

Just got my hair done yesterday with Kazumi for color and Guy for cut and together, they’re a DREAM TEAM! I have very thick, coarse, dry, dark, and straight hair and they completely transformed my look! See the before and after pictures for yourself!
Kazumi is extremely detail-​oriented, honest, perceptive, and a great listener. In addition to spending time with me during the consult, she went over the color she recommended for my skin tone and told me exactly what she was going to do on the day of the appointment. Considering I used black box dyes in the past, I didn’t think my hair was going to lighten up… BUT, thanks to Kazumi’s talents and great vision, my hair turned out so much better than I had imagined and expected!
Guy is just as great and so talented when it comes to haircuts! I let him know that I didn’t want a blunt cut and he suggested something more bohemian, airy, light, and chic! I never thought I can «pull off» the look he gave me, but I must say… he’s called the «King of Bobs» for good reason.
Kazumi’s assistant, Jasmine, was also so sweet and helpful throughout my appointment. She checked-​up on my hair frequently to make sure the color was developing well and I definitely appreciated that!
It’s only my first day at work with my new do and I’ve been receiving compliments left and right! My friends saw photos and are now inspired to get their hair done as well. I recommend Kazumi and Guy with no hesitation!

Judy is the absolute best hair colorist (specialist) in the city! She is an expert at balayaging but can so any sort of style of coloring requested. She has been my colorists for years and has done everything from blonde ombré to the perfect ash brown that is soo hard to get. She can do all sorts of hair but if you are Asian and worried about going to a non-​asian salon due to having a bad experience (Blond hair turn green or orange in the past??? happened to al of us!) do not worry she knows what she is doing. (pst… She is Asian and knows how to deal with it).
Judy is also the sweetest person, so easy to talk to. I hate having awkward half conversations with hair stylists that are hard to talk to but judy is not one of them.
If in doubt go to her! Trust me you won’t regret!

Allie Paronelli is a miracle worker. She has transformed my hair. The best haircuts I’ve ever had, and seriously the BEST blowdry/​styling. She’s a master. So grateful that I’ve found her.

A few years ago I moved to LA from Orange County and was driving to Orange County each time I needed to get my hair done. I tried a different salon in LA and they totally ruined my hair so I was very uneasy about trying someone new. I was referred to Meaghan at J&G and am SO glad that I found her– she’s transformed my whole head. My hair is not easy to work with and she has made it gorgeous. She does a great job of giving me a very natural looking blonde without being brassy, listens to what I want, and gives great suggestions without being pushy. Also very easy to talk to and not annoying or awkward at my appointments. I always look forward to seeing her and getting pampered at the salon.
After a while of going to her for color I decided I wanted to get extensions. My hair is naturally very fine and thin and I’ve always had trouble styling it so this has been a god send for me. I had always been very skeptical about extensions– I was worried they would look fake or break my hair or give me headaches or all the other things you hear but I am in no way inconvenienced by them. I’ve had them for 1.5 years now (replaced my first ones after a year) and love them. People are constantly shocked when they hear I have extensions, they look very natural. I have no plans to take them out :)

I’ve been seeing Dani for my hair color for maybe 5 – 6 years now. He’s literally the best! Although I’m an LA native, I’ve lived in DC for the past 3 years and I almost always wait until I’m back in town to get my hair colored. On the rare occasion I do get my hair done in DC because I just can’t make it back home and I need my roots touched up, I always instantly regret it. Then poor Dani has to fix the damage done by another salon.
I have long Asian hair, and he does a beautiful job balayaging it. I hate when Asian hair turns a brassy orange from highlights and this has been a constant problem at other salons. Not the case here. My highlights are always beautiful and natural, and last enough that I don’t need to touch them up in the in-​between months I’m on the east coast. I totally trust Dani with my hair to a point where I just sit down in a chair and ask him to do what he feels like with my color. He never disappoints! I highly recommend! (:

I hate to have anything bad to say about this salon but to be 100% truthful I was disappointed with my color by Dani H. The ombré effect that I asked for wasn’t at all apparent, he even acknowledged this by saying i could come back to have it lightened up (before i even said anything). When it was all said and done and I went home to have a better look I wasn’t happy with how it turned out, I figured if any salon had a chance in hell at executing what i want it would be this one. Too upset with the amount of money i spent I called the salon back and they were very good at getting me back in to have the color corrected. Dani didn’t seem to pleased to be seeing me again but he knew he didn’t execute it properly. Even after the second time he could tell it still wasn’t quite right so he rushed me to another chair with his assistant as they but both kept pulling through my dried out tangled hair to try and dry it quickly to see how it turned out, he then rushed me back to his chair to add more color (third time). Finally started to resemble the picture I originally showed him but it was a long and tedious journey that left my locks dry as hay.
Guy R. on the other hand did a phenomenal job with my cut (best cut I ever had) and styled it to perfection. This guy knows what he’s doing, very talented, highly recommend him.
Their in house makeup guy (sorry forget his name) also very talented.
Tip: you can only tip cash so make sure you bring some with you or you’ll be forced to use the ATM in the bathroom.

Jonathan and George Salon is an amazing escape for me every few weeks with its gorgeous décor, comfortable atmosphere, friendly staff and constant flow of bubbly water — but what truly makes the experience unique for me is my stylist/​colorist Mina Kwok.
I entered into the salon a year ago needing help with color correcting my hair — she was able to identify the problem immediately and explain what needed to be done and together we set out to undo the damage. I now have a full head of gorgeous colored hair. Mina changed my life! I am now in love with my hair and my Mina days are the best days.
I cannot recommend Mina Kwok highly enough. Thank you Mina!!!

I am so happy with my hair and with my experience here, it is startling.
I hate to try new salons, and I always approach a costly, popular salon with anxiety & trepidation. I make my judgment as soon as I walk in the door and up to the reception desk-​attitude is key here. The handsome, super-​nice & friendly guy at the front desk was sweet as pie to me… welcoming and sincerely kind and helpful. The salon is just gorgeous… very large, very bright & airy, interesting architecture & high ceilings. Everything was ultra-​clean and ultra-modern…very up-​to-​date with all the latest. Beautiful details.
But my hair… is so, so good.
And in truth, there does not exist in the world an individual more neurotic, anxiety-​ridden, paranoid and particular about their hair than I. I speak the truth here. I’m a long-​haired girl who takes great care of it, has had 8 million haircolor (and cut) disasters and treats an appointment at the salon the way most people approach an appointment to have a root canal. I may appear cool on the surface in the chair, but underneath I am FREAKING OUT. You would, too, if you’d had the brassy, chunky orange highlights, green tinges, stripey applications and frizzed-​out hair debacles that I’ve cried my way through.
Haircolor is getting better and better out there-​knowledge is at an all-​time high, and so are ultra-​sophisticated, professional techniques such as gradient, colormelt, smudging, sombre, ecaille, babylights… simple foiling or even basic balayage is just not going to do the trick anymore. And if you haven’t heard of Olaplex-​please don’t touch my hair! The best colorists are at the very top of their game right now, and Jonathan & George are clearly doing an amazing job at cultivating talent with true street cred. I’m so grateful to have been booked with Katrina.
I walked in with a damn good set of highlights+ balayage from another salon-​they were wonderful when done, just 7 months grown out. My stylist moved to Japan (!) so I was once again at loose ends. I wanted to go much brighter & blonder, very model-​esque, but still wanted to be a definite brunette. That can be very hard to achieve if you don’t have tremendous skill, and with a combination of foiling and tipping, Katrina made my hair turn out exactly how I wanted it. Better, even. It’s not too warm or orange-​y, it’s not cool and greenish-gray-it’s golden brown with highlights and dimension and it’s just perfect. I have bright blonde pieces that pop in front, around the periphery of the haircut and at certain tips throughout my hair, but my dark, natural brunette still shines through, giving beautiful shimmer and texture. I wear my hair up all the time, and the light pieces fall out giving a really pretty effect against the darkness of the bun. No matter which way you part it-​left, right, center or pulled straight back, everything blends together and looks incredible. It was also finished with a gloss, so it’s bright, shiny and sleek. Dare I say… it is perfect.
I didn’t get the greatest indication of what the owners were like, as Katrina & I were the last ones left in the salon & had the place to ourselves-​but she was spectacular and I would highly recommend her to anyone! She is a drop-​dead gorgeous redhead with skin like an Irish milkmaid, and her personality is so down-​to-​earth and welcoming that you’ll feel totally comfortable right away. Her station is tucked around the corner from the noise & traffic of the salon floor, too, so it’s especially nice for privacy & quiet.
Update: I’ve been back again, and if possible, my hair is even more magnificent than the first time. I’m not a conceited person, but my hair looks INCREDIBLE! Katrina actually makes me feel beautiful… and that’s a damn rarity.

Lindsay and Eleazar… the ultimate hair dream team! I wanted to have blonde ombré/​balayage and Lindsay was very honest about the length of time it would take to achieve the color I wanted. You can’t expect to go blonde in one visit when you’re naturally dark. With every visit, I left the salon happy with the color and tone. Lindsay definitely cares about the integrity of your hair. As for Eleazar, he’s an artist with the shears! Although he recommends a trim every 3 months. He’s so good at what he does that I’ve gone 6 – 8 months without a cut and the shape is still amazing. If u want quality work, definitely go to Lindsay and Eleazar!

Once again, I’m so happy after seeing Kacey at Jonathan & George Salon. She is absolutely the most talented colorist and I will never let anyone else touch my hair. I drive all the way from Dana Point to see her and it is well worth the drive. Go see Kacey. You won’t regret it, you will be hooked!!! Thank you Kacey!!!

I wish I could have given this salon five stars, but I had to drop one based upon my check out experience. The older woman at the reception desk is a problem for this salon. She didn’t smile once. She didn’t ask how my services had been despite being a first time customer who had just been there for 6 hours. And perhaps most importantly, there was a misunderstanding about what services I was paying for and instead of addressing this issue, she just ignored me and rang up my credit card. This woman needs to be let go or trained in customer service because she is definitely NOT the personality you want interacting with customers or representing this salon.
Moving on to the good stuff! I was there for a color correction and was absolutely floored by the result which Kasey was able to achieve. She did a beautiful job. Didn’t mind my questions and throughout the process, discussed expectations and direction with me. Her assistant Megan is a complete doll that also took very good care of me. This operation is a well oiled machine. Kasey had multiple clients at once and she and her team never made anyone feel like they weren’t completely on top of each process. Extremely professional which I really appreciate particularly at this price point.
After mentioning that I wasn’t particularly thrilled with my haircut either, Kasey asked a favor from one of the stylists to squeeze me in for a consultation and blow out with Ali. Not only did Ali do that, but she was so understanding about my frustrations with my cut, that she offered to fix it right then even though she was very busy. Customer service at its very best! And like Megan, Ali’s assistant Eric was also extremely professional and helpful.
I am not sure its in my budget to go here regularly, but if you can, it is worth every penny.

Dani is the very best, do yourself and your hair a favor and see him for color!

What a great surprise to find this amazing hair salon. I was really terrified to have my hair colored since my last experience was not so good. My hair was burned and over processed. I really believed that I was doomed till I got to meet my «Hair Angel «Kazumi Morton. She is a true miracle producer. She healed my hair and I was really pleasantly surprised how beautiful and healthy my hair looked after the treatment and coloring. I would highly, highly recommend her. She is more then hair colorist she is a «Hair Angel «and my miracle worker.

Hands down the best salon, ever.
After a completely awful ‘ombré’ job, I was frantic on finding someone in LA that could fix the mess without accidentally botching it more. I called on a Monday and had an appointment the very next morning at 8am with Evelyn. I came in and while there was a slight miscommunication on needing a stylist as well as she only does color (me or them, who knows and don’t care), they were more than welcome to accommodate me and bring in a stylist. They were more than willing to make sure that I had a team to help with the damage control and while I was probably beyond frustrating, you would never know it from them!
Within 20 minutes, Guy came in and rescued the day. He chopped off a decent amount of hair and off to Evelyn I went to fix the dip-​dye ombré. I felt so comfortable and she was absolutely amazing. Needless to say, I didn’t know what I wanted because I was so scared to do anything in fear of worse happening to my hair which wasn’t really possible. We ended up coming up with the game plan of dying my hair back to original color and it turned out absolutely perfect! She nailed it after just seeing an inch or two of my natural at the root. The color was just beyond perfect!
Then, back to Guy I went after the color was over. He was amazing. He knew exactly what he was doing and did just the most amazing job! I wasn’t quite sure what I wanted (again) but he made it happen! I have thick and coarse hair and he did a shoulder length cut with body that I absolutely love! He is truly a hair god. They both are!
Be ready to spend quite some money here but know you are in the best of hands with these two! I can’t wait to go back for something new already!

I love this salon. I fly in from Chicago and won’t let anyone else but Jonathan cut my hair. He is the best there is! Dan does my eye brows. …amazing. it is like a facelift. Danny glosses up my hair. making it brighter and shinier… thanks team!

Let me start by saying I love Allie she is an amazing person and she does fabulous hair cuts, she cut all of my death ends making my hair feel amazing, if it was solely for her I will give the salon 5 stars, but I had various issues with the front desk staff as well as some pictures being taken and being made public without my consent.
My first issue came when I went to pay, I know it was going to be several hundred dollars so I was prepare for this, but what really bother me is that I was charged for highlights that I never got done, all I got was a gloss to make my bleached hair darker. I confronted the front stuff lady and she said even though I did not got highlights done that was the right price. I payed but was really upset because a gloss not even in the most famous salon in Europe will cost you 400 dollars.
Fast forward couple days and I see in Instagram and their webpage my picture titled «NOW THIS IS A MAKEOVER» I was upset because when I allowed them to take pictures I never authorized the salon to make them public. I got extremely upset not only because of the pictures where put over the Internet without my consent but also because I got scrutinized over their Instagram but people I didn’t even know, they said the meanest things!!! I called the salon and told them to remove them, who ever picked up the phone said ok I will contact our media person have a great day… That was it ! At least have the courtesy to apologize, you are a high end salon and it expect a lot more than that!
I wish Allie work somewhere else because I have issues with their front stuff not the stylist themselves and I wish somebody would have apologize for the emotional damage that I had from those pictures being made public! It is illegal to post them online without a sign waiver.

the worse first experience ever.
I don’t write bad reviews but i’m really disappointed with my first experience. I had one of the best hair colorist (Kacey welch) of this salon to do color and highlights on my hair. the result is nothing like the pictures I showed her and my hair was fried that I had to cut 5 inches of it. I wanna cry every time I look in the mirror. I’m out of 400 dollars and my hair is short and darker. worse thing is that I don’t know If I remove the color my hair will be lighter or not.
