History

Established in 2015.

Dorite G. Nizzanis’ talents were discovered in New York years ago by master make up artist Way Bandy.

She then traveled the world with enthusiasm;

In Italy she worked with the top Italian photographers, leading European fashion magazines, television and film stars.

In Israel, Dorit was second to none in the business, working not only in the industry but also traveling with the leading politicians: Israel’s President Shimon Peres and late Y. Rabin Israel’s prime Minister for over a decade.

She is hired as a beauty consultant to renowned cosmetics companies, and private clients.

Dorit is meticulous and wild, classic and current. Her ingenuity seems to be untamed, and still, her final product is a dream for any retoucher.

Dorite G Nizzani means precision, experience, class, and an infectious love for the work.

Residing in Beverly Hills, she is available locally and internationally for large campaigns and private events.

For me the calling of beauty and transformation has been a life time of love affair that I have warmly embraced. My passion is helping people look their best on the outside so that what I see on their inside can truly radiate.

My work as a hair and makeup artist has taken me all over the world, traveling with leading politicians and TV personalities. I have been lucky to work with some of the best high fashion photographers in Italy, Israel and the USA.

Now having my own space where I can reach so many of you, I am excited for the opportunity to share the knowledge I have accumulated all these years.

I am continuing my work with existing clients and welcoming the opportunity to build relationships with new ones according to their visions and desires for their look.

Not only is Dorite an amazing, visionary hair stylist, she is also a lovely, wise, insightful person. My sister and I love getting our haircut at her private studio inside Salon Republic. It gives us the peaceful, serene setting we seek while getting Dorite’s undivided attention as we engage in delightful, inspiring conversation with her. Dorit herself and her studio are just so amazing I had to write a review which I rarely do. My hair had been long for a while and it was starting to feel unhealthy, super dry, and dead on the ends. I came to Dorit through a referral from a close friend and fell in love instantly! I am no joke going to go to her for anything hair related for the rest of my life, it’s like she literally makes love to your hair! Like I said I wasn’t sure I wanted to go short but Dorit was so knowledgable about how to cut my hair (I have thin hair so it needs a lot of texture) and made me feel so comfortable that I instantly trusted her and let her do her thing! Which ended up being like magic! I was so pleased with not only how my hair felt and looked but how much healthier it became and continued to become as my hair began to grow out! I used to have SO many split ends that would drive me crazy and the way she cut my hair reduced the split ends drastically! I would HIGHLY recommend her to annnnny of my family or friends in a heartbeat. For the first time I really am looking forward to my next hair cut and am excited to see the magic she cooks up in her adorable studio space!!! What an amazingly beautiful experience I had with Dorite! I am particular about my hair and very rarely allow anyone to touch it. My hair also seems to have a mind of it’s own and does what it wants to. She explained to me her vision and principles of beauty and I immediately felt comfortable. And then she got to work! If you have curly hair — look no further. It takes one to know one, and Dorite knows. I hate having my hair cut and I hate hair salons. This is the result of 25 years of having my hair done by people with straight hair (no offense). They simply don’t get it.
Not only does Dorite know exactly what she’s doing with your curls, she’s also an expert in creating a warm, friendly, stress-​less atmosphere — almost like getting your hair done at home. On top of that, she uses hair products that are organic and without any ammonia, so in the long run, and I speak from personal experience — your hair will actually look much healthier even if you get it dyed or highlighted.
She knows, she listens and she smiles. I’m never getting my hair done anywhere else for as long as I live in LA.
