D’Lashes by Dionne Phillips

I don’t know why it has taken me so long to write a few words about D’Lashes. Maybe it’s because I don’t want everyone to know about my secret lash salon. I love Dionnne. She is AMAZING and does such great work. I don’t have lashes without her. When I die people will say one thing about my body laying in the coffin…“WOW! Her lashes look amazing!” This is the place if you don’t want to have those toxic glued on strips from the nail shop that make the sky dark when you look up.

I made a last minute appointment and I canceled last minute and usually she would charge, but she was so understanding and was able to fit me in for another time slot right before my trip.
We discussed about what I wanted, and she asked if I had any pictures to show for inspiration but I told her I just wanted volume, length and to make my eyes bigger — SHE DID THAT AND MORE. Can’t wait to see her in a few weeks for my touch up!
She is very easy to talk to, and we hit it off instantly. I found my eyelash stylist!
PS: This isn’t your typical eyelash extension place where they place any type of last on you. Dionne customizes the lashes to make it look like it’s your real lashes. If you want to look like every other person who gets their lashes done, this place isn’t for you!

Dionne is truly a fabulous lash stylist who knows what she’s doing. Not only is she experienced but she is fast and efficient. My lashes are always in great hands and perfect looking with Dionne. Her work speaks for itself !

Got a $ 50 gift certificate D’Lashes distributed at an event, only to have them not honor it a week later. Dionne just didn’t seem to care about customer service.
The lashes they put on me were very artificial looking, itched like mad (lashes I’ve gotten at other places never have, so no sensitivity issue on my side) and were applied so badly that they blocked my vision and fell off lash by lash in a horrible way. The lashes were also so heavy looking that they aged me.

I love Dionne and I love my lashes! I have had my lashes done by a lot of highly rated lash extension specialists/​Lash bars/​Lash salons etc… all over LA and honestly, Dionne is hands down the best. I was referred to her through one of my sisters friends who got her lashes done for her wedding and they looked GORGEOUS! I emailed Dionne via her site for an appointment and she got back to me right away with an appt. confirmation and again, did I mention I LOVE MY LASHES!!! Dionne was so friendly and so professional and genuinely a lash artist! She pays careful attention to your natural lash and enhances them by using various different sized lashes. By doing this she creates a dramatic yet believable look, needless to say I feel really pretty today. And I needed that… Dionne is also so great to talk to I felt like I left there with not only ridiculously amazing lashes, but also a new friend. She is a joy to be around. I would recommend Dionne beyond HIGHLY and will be a lifetime client. Her studio is clean and beautifully decorated, it smells really nice and Dionne really is the best. Don’t waste your time with anyone else!

I had my lashes done with her back in 2005, when lashes weren’t even popular yet by Kim Kardashian and others.
I received so many compliments it was insane.
What makes Dionne’s lashes a step above the rest is that she’s meticulous in her application. She has an eye for perfection and she is the utmost professional with her business.
I highly recommend her and her staff.
Almost 10 yrs later and I still get my eyelashes done. My eyes just pop with lashes and of course all the guys love it and compliment me:)

I won a free lash appointment at a silent auction for Haiti relief. I paid the most for the item and won the donated appointment. However, when I called to make my appointment, they wouldn’t honor my gift card from their store. How wack is that!

I went here once in 2008, years ago to try the famous Dionne’s lashes. I was told that the glue they used to adhere the lashes were hypoallergenic but when I got home my eyes started itching so badly. I called Dionne to ask her what was going on and she told me that there was no way that the glue could’ve irritated my eyes because she used surgical glue. How could she have known that I wasn’t allergic to surgical glue just as some people can be allergic to common things such as peanut butter?
I paid $ 300 and tipped $ 50, for a total of $ 350 out the door to have lashes that were promised to be hypoallergenic. After a few days, without any way to take off my lashes, they started to fall off, one by one. I was told they could last from 1 – 3 months but they started falling out after several days. It looked so funny with sparse eyelashes here and there that were longer than the rest, along with my puffy, itchy, irritated eyes. It only took two weeks for every single lash to fall out on its own.
Although Dionne does great work and is highly acclaimed by all the top beauty magazines, and her work looks really, really natural, I would not come here again. When I had an allergy to the lashes and called her, she should’ve suggested a remedy for me and not tell me that there was no possible way the medical glue could have been the reason for my irritation. I was so happy when all the lashes fell off and never went for eyelash extensions ever again.
Now with so many places that do extensions, and more affordable lashes available, I wouldn’t spend $ 350 on lashes that irritate and fall out after a few days.

I never had fake lashes put in before, but Dionne was super gentle that i even fell asleep how embarrassing! When I was done I couldn’t believe how natural it looked, she took her time and I was very happy with the results, I would definitely go back but I realized after having them, I am too much of a klutz and not enough diva. I couldn’t resist rubbing my eyes, I had to avoid sleeping on my face, so many no-no’s and I couldn’t handle it anymore ahah! They lasted for quite a long time and they are very resilient even for someone like me. Mine lasted for a month, and sometimes I would forget I had them they are very light!
If you get false lashes regularly, go to Dionne!

Dionne is absolutely a god sent. My eyes have never looked so amazing. For years i would not dare leave my house or feel sexy and confident without dark liner on my upper lids and of course mascara… All that changed the day i met Dionne. I was no longer tied to my 25 minute daily morning routine. I woke up, looked in the mirror and my eyes did all the talking. I did absolutely nothing to them. I am so grateful for her. Now of course i will be tied to Dionne for years to come but with the super sexy flirty eyes she leaves me with, she will be worth it every visit. Cant wait to lay in her bed again soon and let her work her magic on me. Love you D!

My sister and I along with a friend went out to the Hollywood area to get our lashes done before the New years. This was my first time so i didnt know what to expect. But I loved it! They were natural looking! I totally loved Natalia, she took her time and asked us what type of look we wanted the lashes! She was awesome! Im going back to this location again!

I absolutely love my eye lash extensions! I had no idea my lashes could ever look this good. I only wish that I had met Dionne sooner! It just so happens that my husband’s last name is Lash, so for my wedding since I was about to become the future Mrs. Lash I went to a well recommended salon in Beverly Hills but I came out looking like i had tarantula legs coming out of my eyes. It was a disaster so I had to pay to have them removed but Dionne’s lash extensions look so natural that they easily pass for your own!

I’ve been wanting to get my extensions from D’lashes for months now and when I saw the deal on groupon, I had to get it. I had a great experience getting my lash extension with Dionne! Upon meeting her, she was really friendly and outgoing. I felt like I knew her for years. Throughout the 1.5 hours that it took, We talked about our love for designer clothes, shoes and purse to relationships to our online shopping addictions. I felt like she was a long lost girlfriend of mine and we had so much to catch up on.
She’s a pro at what she does and she tailors the lashes to your liking. I can’t believe my lashes lasted for almost a month, longer than expected. I was really happy with the work that she did and I’ll definitely recommend her to all of my friends.

Dionne is super sweet and she knows what she’s doing whithout being arrogant about it. I told her I was getting married the next day and she made sure to pick the right style of lashes I needed to make it look both natural with a slight dramatic kick.
It was my first time ever getting fake lashes and I am super happy with my new look! My friends were all raving about the results! And according to the livingsocial quote ($ 82) she’s not as price as other similar businesses are.

You must not understand alot about having your own small business but yet very busy and successful.
If your lashes did ever bother you, as you mentioned strangers even noticed that something was wrong with your eyes. Did you bother calling D’Lashes to discuss the problem? Did you give D’Lashes/Dionne an opportunity to rectify the problem or your mangled lashes? (If there was one) If your experience was soo bad from Dionne checking her business emails BEFORE you walked into the studio. did you mention anything? And I’m quite sure I would have checked all of my „important emails“ BEFORE you’ve arrived (after a long awaited 15 minutes… whew!) into the room. Just to ensure that I was not checking them rudely in front of you. I apologize that I had to be your insecurity to make you feel unimportant. No one EVER makes you feel that way except for your self. Your feelings are only controlled by you. In any case, my What ever would have bothered you on any day. However, You didnt complain about the lashes, service on the first day you came in. You did like them. You wrote a great review and you were compensated for it… Remember? So, you had to of like everything if you came back for great lashes.
My great customer service cannot please everyone. With every attempt to. I just cant please every single nu-​ounces that people have. Went to D’Lashes because I got the Groupon for combo extensions and flares.
Dionne has a very cute and comfy studio. To get to it you go up the stairs at the front of the building and enter a salon that has many different studios. My boyfriend found street parking, but I believe there is also a validated parking garage.
Dionne was very friendly and explained the lash extension process. She made sure I was comfortable during the process and it was not painful at all. I did tear up a little at the beginning b/​c my eyes are a little sensitive, but it was not a problem at all.
Before I knew it, my eyelashes were full, long, and beautiful. The extensions looked very natural and really complimented my eyes and face. (Not fake looking at all… so if that is the look you like, you probably won’t like these extensions.)
My extensions looked good and lasted for about 3 weeks. During this time, I wore oil-​free mascara (Tarte) and gently cleaned them everyday. I kept extensions that were coming loose in place by gently arranging them with a tweezer. The extensions eventually fell out, but were never painful or bothersome.
If I had the money, I would have refilled the extensions. But right now, it would be a habit that is too expensive to maintain. I would definitely go back to Dionne and pay the full price for extensions if I had a very special event coming up.

I went to D’Lashes after purchasing one of her «Party Flare Lash» specials from
. I’ve had lash extensions done before from other salons, so I was totally stoked when I found her $ 42 special. I love love love getting my lashes done, but the «Party Flare Lashes» are NOT the same as your typical lash extensions. Normally, lash extension is ONE synthetic lash glued to one of your natural lashes, but the «party flare lashes», advertised as 3 lashes to one, is one of those «bundle» lashes (6 – 7 lashes) glued on one or more of your natural lashes (I say one or more because they’re too big/​heavy to go on just one of your natural lashes). Dionne explains all of this to you during your visit, that it’s not one lash per lash, but rather 6 or more lashes per lash.
The lashes looked really great for a night out on the town and she did a wonderful job putting them on, but I was disappointed because I was expecting something more natural looking. You can tell that the lashes were fake and not very appropriate (i.e., too heavy) for daytime. Usually, when you go to a store and buy fake lashes that you apply on your own, you can get the ones that come on a long strip, or the individual lashes that come 6 – 7 lashes clumped together on a knot (which is what the party lashes pretty much are). When I had the Party Flare Lashes on, you could see the little knot where the lashes are glued, and so you could tell they weren’t «mine».
My rating is pretty much based on the product, and the fact that it’s misleading. The photo on her website of the Party Flare LAsh is, in my opinion, pretty inaccurate, and does NOT actually look natural like it does in the photo (because you don’t see the little knots/​base of the fake lashes in the pic like you do when she puts them on). As I mentioned earlier, I’ve had lash extensions done before from other salons and they’re supposed to look natural, so just be informed that the Party Flare Lashes are NOT the same thing and do not achieve the natural look that you get from typical lash extensions.
Dionne, herself, is very friendly, professional, and a likable person. She clearly has a lot of experience and has been doing this for as long as lash extensions have been around. She is also very accommodating and really wants to make sure you’re happy. I liked her a lot, just not the product. If you’re willing to spend more money, she offers «one lash per lash» extensions also, but they’re pretty pricey.
So, just to be clear, I’m only disappointed in the product and how misleading it was (prior to purchasing)
My review is, of course, just that: MY review. As you can see, she has many satisfied customers also, who have had only positive things to say about her products. I just wish I had known beforehand what I was getting, bc I probably wouldn’t have purchased it then.

I just can’t live without them! Dionne tailors the style of the lashes according to your eye shape and your personal preference. I got the party flare lashes and they’re amazing. I’m really surprised how long they’re lasting. The procedure only look 40 mins. for me.
The number one reason why I love these lashes so much is that you don’t need any make up! Thanks for making me a diva, Dionne, i’ll be coming in very soon for my retouch! :)
Her studio is a bit hard to find. Make sure you park in the same structure as 24hr fitness. Follow the signs to the lobby, make sure you exit the building and walk up the hill until you see a separate entrance for a sign that reads something «salon». Her studio is located to the far left corner, it’s super cute! I hope everyone can have a positive experience as I did :)
