For his undergraduate degree, Dr. Ramin attended California State University Northridge. He pursued his medical degree at the Wayne State University School of Medicine. Dr. Ramin continued his medical education at the University of California, Los Angeles. Here, he received his internal medicine residency training through the San Fernando Valley Program.

Dr. Ramin is an assistant Professor of Medicine at KECK USC School of Medicine. He has been Co Chairman of Joint Practice Committe at Cedars Sinai Medical Center. Patients visiting Dr. Ramin can receive a full range of medical services. He provides annual physical examinations, prescriptions and refills, flu shots, disease screenings, general consultations, and evaluations for worker’s compensation and disability. Treatment is available for issues including arthritis, migraine, sore throat, and allergy problems. In addition to his practice, Dr. Ramin has delivered lectures on subjects including pancreatitis and congestive heart failure

The Dr. and his staff are OK but the billing department is totally incompetent. They keep billing me over and over for something that has been paid months ago. These people are idiots.

Dr. Ramin is a fantastic physician. Spends time in the room, and answers all questions, Cares for his patients and follows up throughly with every single one including updating the referring physicians such as my office. I refer all my patients that need an internist to Dr. Ramin and he makes sure to get them in ASAP, and updates our office as to patients status/​health.

I entered the door on my first visit, they were so welcoming and polite, friendly. The one that referred me to Dr. Ramin told me that I will be in good hands. She was right. The staff and assistant show how much they care about their work and I appreciate for been on time!

From the moment I entered the door on my first visit, Rita (front desk), was so welcoming. She was, and is, so polite, friendly, nice, and really sweet. I knew from that point forward, I was in good hands. As well, I can always count on her for my referrals being processed; timely; thank you!
Dr. Ramin’s assistant (Marisela) possesses a very warm and nurturing persona. On every visit, I look forward to her kind, considerate and friendly demeanor. She truly cares about her work, and getting her patient’s back on track.
On my most recent visit, I met a new addition (Jennifer) who will add nicely to the team already assembled by Dr. Ramin.
Overall, Dr. Ramin’s office has been extremely efficient, polite, and very professional. They are always very diligent about their duties, and also, they have exemplified a thorough and dedicated knowledge, attitude, and behavior, to be successful in handling my care.

My experience with Dr. Ramin started out pretty good. He’s a nice guy. As time has gone on though I’ve become increasingly frustrated with his practice and the medical group. I’ve gotten random bills for copays and then had to call (not his office but the medical group billing department) who I could barely understand. He’s become busier and frankly the quality has gone down. I almost always waited an hour or more to see him, he would often be late to the office and then all the patients were backed up etc. He’s also very reluctant to do anything past as another reviewer put it «the regular stuff, colds, flu, diabetes» anything remotely advanced and he wants you to see a specialist. The medical group doesn’t have every specialty and is very disorganized, as is his office. Oh and parking and traffic can be a pain (on Wilshire in Beverly Hills). After the last appointment I just decided to move on.

I wanted to give my sincerest thanks to Dr. Ramin for helping my dad multiple times. When my dad had a heart attack a couple of years ago, Dr. Ramin who is my dad’s physician made sure he received the best treatment. He went over and beyond to get my dad transfered from a hospital that did not specialize in heart attacks to one that could actually give him the care he needed. Then a few months ago my dad became addicted to depression pills which were stupiditly prescribed to him by another physician. Since the pills completely changed my dad’s personality and my dad wouldn’t quit taking the pills, I called Dr. Ramin who met with me and my dad to talk him out of taking the pills. Now my dad is back to normal. Dr. Ramin is one of those rare doctors that in my opinion actually cares about the patient, not just to prescribe you something just to get you out of the door to see the next patient. I highly recommend Dr. Ramin and bless him for his work.

I truly appreciate Dr. Ramin timely response to my phone calls. During this humid and hot weather my flares up are more painful. Therefore, I have to call the doctor after business hours, but he kindly respond. I greatly appreciate it. When suffering pain you want a response right away. Dr. Ramin has been there for me. My mother was referred to dr ramin for a pre op physical. We showed up at 8:55 for a 9:00 appointment. Dr ramin entered the office at 10:15. Like many other reviewers, we were never told why he was late or when he would arrive. Like others he answers his cell phone during the appointment-​then we got to hear his conversations with other patients. Can you say patient privacy? His familiarity with patients could be taken as kind and compassionate or creepy. I vote creepy. We felt like we were in with a used car salesman. Others may feel he’s a wonderful doctor, but we just felt he was seeing as many patients as possible for the insurance reimbursement.

I had been living in L.A. for about 8 months and been procrastinating on establishing with an Internist. I was coming out of my 4th and final week of bronchitis. I had been coughing nonstop. Towards the end of my bronchitis, a pain started hurting in my chest. I thought a massage or massage therapist would be able to help/​treat the situation. The advice from the massage therapist was «go see a doctor!».
My mysterious pain was really intense and I had one more day before returning to work on Monday. I decided to see if I could find a decent internist ASAP who would be able to at least see me the next day. I did a google search and found several doctors who did not have appointments available for weeks. Dr. Ramin was available, but the reviews were not all that inspiring. I decided to take a chance, and was able to make an appointment for the same day! I am so glad that I did. I was taken immediately at my appointment time, consulted with, and on my way to the pharmacy. Dr. Ramin was very friendly and thorough. My personal information had already been entered in their database, before he came in and saw me and then we reviewed my information and refined it together. I did not have to worry about losing any prescriptions, since he just sent my prescriptions directly to my neighborhood pharmacy.
Procrastination no longer! I am now established with an internist that I feel good about and trust.

Where do I even begin … Doctor is nice, however always late for his appointments. Does his job so I can’t say much about him. But the reason I wouldn’t recommend this place is because even when you pay your co pay to them, they will keep mailing you letters to pay. And every time you’ll call they will apologize and see that you have paid. Extremely unorganized staff that works there. Save yourself time, and find another doctor. Oh and because he is never on time, I sure would never recommend him for an emergency.

Worst doctor I’ve ever been too. I waited over an hour to see him. He came in and wrote nothing down. All he did was check the computer for my records at cedars sinai and refilled my prescriptions. Then I was sent to the lab for blood test. After over a week I still do not have my results. I have called the office 3 times and the doctor will not call me with my results. Horrible doctor. Does not care about patients. Should not be practicing.

By far the worst experience I have ever had with a PCP. I was not seen until 1 hour past my appt time. I went to Dr Ramin after being hospitalized for a serious medical condition and I was having other medical issues. He did not even exam me with the exception of listening to my heart. He never addressed my other issues. He just sat at his computer taking notes.
I asked for a blood draw. He told me he couldn’t draw my blood, I would have to go to a lab. I asked if he would refill my medications until I could get the auth and appt with a specialist. He declined and said if he could only treat me for colds and flu’s and things like that! SERIOUSLY???
I received a call a week later with a verbal auth for one specialist, but not the other one I needed. I waited another week and no call, so I called and was told they had not received it. I explained that I was running out of medications and it was urgent, suddenly she was able to find it and told me it had been denied as not covered. I asked for a copy and when I received it, it had not been «denied» it stated, «carve out benefits» which means another medical group managed that portion of my benefits. How do I know that, but they do not???
The pharmacy has told me that if I stop taking my medications, there could be severe side effects, but Dr. Ramins office refuses to fill my RX. I have only a few days left. Absolutely unacceptable quality of care!
