Cats 90210 Los Angeles Cat Sitting

I had a longtime cat sitter in NYC that I used for years and loved (see my review on them), and couldn’t imagine ever allowing anyone else to care for my guys when away. Alas, after moving to LA, the time had come. I saw SO many positive reviews for Cats 90 210, which clearly seemed like a good route to go. I wound up traveling for work super last minute and had no one I knew personally to help, so these guys worked it out for me! Adam was our sitter, and although I could tell he was very much a cat-​guy, he’s also no-​nonsense. I’ve been warned by a few neighbors that my landlady can be an issue while out of town, so having Adam in-​charge put me at ease. Regardless of circumstance, whether landlady or something completely different, I liked knowing that my 3 kitties were in caring and competent hands. It’s worth noting that I’m a bit of a hot mess trusting anyone with my babies, and they also have very unique feeding instructions and habits. Adam took notes and was very patient. While away, I LOVED getting photos and appreciated visit updates. However, nothing beats coming home to three healthy, happy kitties, and it was very clear that my guys were well taken care of. I am very happy with Adam and Cats 90 210, and won’t hesitate to contact them for future trips out of town!

I’m a first time cat owner and wasn’t quite sure what to do with our little guy when we were going out of town. Luckily, I found Cats 90 210 and I’m so glad I did! Rita was so lovely during our initial phone consultation, and it was great getting to meet Pam ahead of time. She instantly made us feel at ease and totally comfy leaving Ollie home for the weekend. We got great updates every time she was there, which helped us relax and enjoy our trip. And most importantly, Ollie was happy and calm when we got home! I cannot recommend them enough, and we’ve already booked Pam for another trip!

I can’t recommend them enough! I’m so glad a business like this exists in LA. They definitely care a lot about what they’re doing. Pam is the one who always watches my cats when I’m away and she does a great job. They’re totally used to her now. She’s really great about being pretty flexible as well. If I’m leaving a little later than I thought, she can usually plan to visit later in the day.

Mara did a wonderful job taking care of our kitties and staying in contact with us during our trip. The cats absolutely loved her and we couldn’t be happier with her impeccable service, attention to detail and overall wonderfulness! From the moment I spoke to Melanie at Cats90210, I knew they were the ones to take care of our cat. They only deal with cats and they LOVE them! It’s so apparent that they take a lot of pride in their service and they adore kitty cats. Rita is the owner and took all of my information after Melanie took the initial call. Rita is super thorough and makes sure you understand everything. She is a cat expert and a super nice person. She checks all the backgrounds of the cat sitters, and unlike the other services out there that may be slightly cheaper, they do not send a different person every day to your house. This was massively important to us!
You get a sitter assigned (Adam! who is AWESOME!) and they are the ones coming to your house each day. I met with Adam in advance and he got to meet our cat and see the layout of the house, etc. They will even set your mail aside and water any plants — how awesome is that?! I felt so confident that I could trust him with our favorite little buddy and our home. What a great feeling.
You can pay electronically or leave a check. Adam sent me texts and pics of our cat every day and that was so re-​assuring. I am sold! Thanks Cats90210 — you guys are the cats pajamas!
PS One note, if you have a cat AND a dog, I don’t think they will sit for you because they don’t deal with woof woof at all…

I’ve been using Cats 90 210 for most of this past year (I tend to go out of town about once a month) and have always had excellent experiences. I’m a bit of a Type A professional and am additionally overprotective of my cats (one of whom is pushing into the Gandalf the Wizard zone of old), and I have never once had a single problem (even a slight problem that you think of, but never actually bring up) with Rita’s team. I’ve leaving LA and am scheduled for my last sitting next week and thought that I should really give Rita and her great team some overdue praise.
PROs —
1) TRUST IN THE SITTER: I used another service (see my previous review if you are curious) a few times when I first moved to the city (and I didn’t have any complaints), but ultimately, I wanted a service where I knew who would be taking care of the cats each day and there would be a consistent «sitting» presence. I feel more secure knowing that the sitter can tell if something is off. My cats have been «seeing» Adam and they seem to be doing well with him.
2) TRUST IN THE WORST CASE SCENARIO: My cat is very old and I’m always worried that he will have a problem/​accident or pass away while I’m gone. Having a small team led by Rita (who doesn’t actually live here anymore, I think, but runs it from afar with her second-​in-​command, Melanie) makes me feel more secure that if something were to happen, they’d do the responsible and right things for us. Also, Rita (and Melanie, I’m sure) is incredibly knowledgeable about the local vets. After using her services, she gave me a great recommendation for a vet in the area which whom I’ve ended up having good luck. I feel like they actually care about you and your cat (s), and that is important to me. I had to cancel scheduled sitting at the last minute because my cat got very suddenly and seriously ill and Rita was very supportive.
3) EXCELLENT SITTING SERVICES: The sitter comes once a day and goes through my feeding instructions I’ve left (and medication) as well as cleans up the litter boxes (including sweeping up litter) and gets the mail. I ask that he sends pictures to me daily and they are pretty cute. Who doesn’t want to see five pictures of your cats every day you are gone? It is very reassuring and something I’d probably ask for in the future in my new location.
3) CONVENIENT PAYMENT SYSTEM: Payment is through an automated system, which I find particularly convenient. You get invoiced once Rita confirms with the sitter and you can even see the scheduled visits on the calendar.
CONS –
1) COST: Working with Cats 90 210 costs more than other companies that offer the same quality of basic sitting «service.» That being said, I think it is worth the money to pay more for having 1) and 2) above. I can’t think of any other «cons» as I’ve had an outstanding experience with the team.
I’m very sad to be leaving Los Angeles because now I’ll have to hunt again for a good cat sitting team. I’d highly recommend this service for the well-​cared-​for cat.
UPDATE ⁹⁄₂₀
Now that I have less-​than-​ideal cat sitting in my new location, I thought of one more thing I miss — the fact that Rita and your sitter always check to make sure you get home. I love that they wanted to be sure the cats weren’t left without anyone in case of a travel emergency.

I found Cats 90 210 online about two months ago when desperately looking for a cat sitter who was also able to give our 17 year old cat subcutaneous fluid injections (he has kidney disease). I’ve since used them twice and have them booked for a third job.
I was nervous about hiring a random company/​person off of the internet to a) come into my house unsupervised, and b) take care of my beloved cat who has special needs.
Simply put, they’re absolutely fantastic. VERY responsive, VERY kind, VERY professional, VERY trustworthy. Linda arrives on-​time, takes great care of Tabby (yes, a very original name, I know), and texts me photos each and every time. I’m very thankful to have a service I can rely on to leave town at ease.
Furthermore, they carry insurance, and are rated by the Better Business Bureau which makes me feel more comfortable. Strongly recommended.

My little dude had a stroke and seizures about 3 months ago and now needs medicine twice a day, every day. For nearly 2 months I didn’t leave the area, as someone had to be there to give him his meds (to prevent further seizures) at the correct times. When my mom had to have surgery back home I needed to make sure that my little guy was taken care of, so I called Cats 90 210 and set up an appointment. Rita was awesome from the very first email. She called me and answered questions, asked about my cat and I could tell she was an animal lover that genuinely cared about both the feline clients and the human ones. She set up a meeting with my cat sitter, Nadia, who is SUPER nice and put me right at ease.
When I was out of town, Nadia sent me text messages with pictures and video of my little fuzz and told me what and how he was doing every single time. It calmed my nerves knowing that he was getting his medicine on time, getting fed and being loved and visited by a sweet and friendly person twice a day.
I have used the service another time since then and you bet your ass I will continue to use them every time I have to go out of town. Its a good feeling knowing that you have someone that you can count on to take care of your little buddy when you can’t be there to.
I whole-​heartedly recommend Cats 90 210 to anyone and everyone. (Just don’t book Nadia when I need her, please! hah)

for the first time in my life, I felt confident with the person watching my Babies. I definitely miss them, my sitter Nadia :) put me at ease with the text messages & photos! every visit, she sent me a calming, reassuring message that all is ok.
First thing, I left a message that Im a new client & wanted to schedule a visit & Rita returned my call within the hour. She was very professional & was sincere with her interest in all the clients & they’re cats! These guys are Lovely! I can go on & on!
My cats are rescue, scaredy-​cats & Nadia won them over! They even liked her!
They did not look freaked out & disheveled, like they usually do when I have to go away for a day or two. Nadia to the rescue!

This service is AMAZING. I don’t even want to call it a «service» because they are so personable. I’ve booked Sarah twice now and my cats are always super content when I come home. I get texts with updates and pictures with each visit (best part) and they always make sure I make it home safe before going off duty. It’s also great that they specialize in only cats and they have the same person come every time. I will ALWAYS use Cats 90 210 in the future!!!

I am so impressed with Sarah! My boyfriend and I have her watching our cat on our first vacation without him and we were very worried how he’d do. Maybe that means we are crazy cat people, but he’s our baby (we adopted him a year ago as an 8 year old and he’s deaf) so we are a little (a lot) over protective. We assumed he’d hide in the closet for the first two days but on the first night we got pictures of our kitty rolling around on the floor playing with his toys and happily lounging near Sarah. I am so relieved he loves her and we’re happy to have such a loving cat sitter watch our baby.
Rita was in touch right away after I submitted my original inquiry about their services, then she called to introduce herself and answer my questions. Talking to her put me at ease and I can tell how passionate she is about caring for kitties. I like how they always send the same sitter for each trip so your cat has a familiar face. She put me in touch with Sarah, who made herself available right away to come over for a meet and greet with our kitty. Paying online was easy (PayPal).
I am so grateful we found someone we trust to love up our kitty while we are away.

I was so impressed with Cats 90 210. When I first tried to schedule a cat sitter for my two cats, Rita called me and discussed their services with me in detail. She also offered to put me in touch with customers who would tell me more about their experiences with Cats 90 210. The client intake form was quite detailed, and I appreciated the thoroughness because I worry about every little thing, and I would want my cat sitter to know all those details anyway.
My sitter was Sarah, and she was amazing. One of my cats, Mara, is very shy, and it usually takes her several days to stop hiding when a newcomer is present. The first time Sarah came over to meet the cats, Mara not only didn’t hide but sniffed Sarah and let her pet her! I was so happy and relieved, and it made me feel more comfortable knowing the kitties are in good hands. Sarah sent me email updates with photos every day, and it made me worry a lot less about my cats while I was away.
I will definitely be calling Cats 90 210 again when I need to go out of town.

I am SO beyond thrilled I found Cats 90 210 on Unilocal.Before the holidays I was searching for the perfect solution to housing my cat while I was away for a couple of weeks. Not only was I pleasantly surprised to see the affordable pricing of Cats 90 210-​but I was overwhelmed with peace of mind after meeting Rita and hearing all about whats included. I have never ever left my cat, been gone and come back to a happier overall experience of someone taking care of him! Seriously, I was so pleased while I was away I forgot to worry about him because I knew he was in great hands. I came home to a clean apartment and a very well kept cat. Rita, you’re amazing and I cant recommend your services highly enough!

Lovely people! My girlfriend is crazy (in a nice way, honey) about her cat. She hates leaving the cat alone, so it’s very often a topic of discussion when we’re away.
«I wish I knew if she were okay,» «we should install a cat cam,» «what if she isn’t drinking water?» «we should have bought her some live mice to play with.» «she hasn’t called and I wonder if we could develop a cat-​skype app where I can communicate with her and make sure she’s eating and getting exercise.»
Whatever the topic, I know that this service is not only diligent about monitoring her kitty, but that they are also communicative about the ‘mental’ state of the cat and the owner… I know how this sounds, but anyone especially adoring of their felines should use this service when they’re away. My girl’s only gripe is that she can’t afford for the cat lady to come house sit full time.

From the intelligent and friendly initial phone call from Rita to explain their services (and address all my questions) to the very thorough and friendly care that our cat sitter Emma has given to our cat, I can’t recommend this company more highly. We get photos and descriptions texted to us by our cat sitter each day, and she is very friendly and connects well with our cat. Emma is very good about tending to all the details (litter, food, cleanup, etc), and seems to really enjoy her job and love cats. We are a little obsessed maybe with how much we love our cat and it gives us great peace of mind to know that we don’t have to worry about him if we travel out of town, but we also can get our daily fix of a couple pictures of him texted to us! ;-)
Seriously, trust these guys with your cat. It is worth the price.

If you are looking for a very personable experience and the best care ever for your kitty, look no further. I used Cats90201 for the first time last month and was assigned Cynthia. Because I have a single cat, I worry when I travel because he will be alone so much. Cynthia came twice a day every day I was gone and really got to know my kitty. She sent me text messages and photos and we chatted daily about what was going on. Just the fact that my cat let her pick him up and groom him told me that he really loved her because normally, especially with strangers, my cat is an under-​the-​bed hider! I could not have been more pleased and would highly recommend Rita and her sitters for anyone with cat sitting needs. Every single thing about the company is extremely professional and very thorough. They think of everything, ask the right questions and are excellent with follow through. I have a close friend who usually kitty sits for me, but she was out of town during this trip, so I was thrilled to use Cats90210 and if I ever have the need again, they will be the first ones I call. Cats 90 210 is awesome! We used their service for a week over the summer when we went on vacation. Rita and Melanie were so sweet and caring! They took the time to come meet our kitty, make sure we understood what was included in the service and answered all of our questions. Melanie was our cat sitter, and she was so doting on our little buddy. We got texts and updates every day we were gone. When we returned, the house looked great, our mail was picked up, and our kitty was happy to see us, but definitely not traumatized by our absence. Will definitely be using this service again!
